It is quickly learned by all who meet him that he will not hesitate in making
what he is thinking known, which has gotten him into trouble on several
occasions with Autobot Command. Arashi joined LONAC upon request by Hyperion to become a Tactibot. Another factor helping Arashi in his decision is that is his entire existance he had been an Autobot seeing war each day, a war which he recently had begun to care less and less about. He sees joining LONAC as his way to escape the war and to see things differently. Arashi transforms into an aerial fighter of Cybertronian design. In this mode he is capable of achieving high speeds, but only for short amounts of time. He is also capable of space travel, but must 'planet hop' so he has time to re-energise his engines and make his way on to the next planet, due to his design. In both modes, Arashi is armed with Dual Pulse Cannons that when fully charged are able to knock other aircraft out of the sky, and also cause considerable damage to structures. The Dual Pulse Cannons are only ever fully charged when the situation calls for it however, as they have been known to harm more than just the targetted object on more than just the odd occasion. Arashi is able to merge with the other Tactibots, and replaces Firestorm's role as left arm of the merged form of Hyperion.
