The Heavy Plasma Cannons are used by Diablo primarily for long range attack. Each cannon has a targeting laser located on the top which are able to target objects at extreme distances.
While charging the plasma inside the cannon before firing, an emerald glow is emitted along the whole length of the cannon. Then the now charged plasma energy is brought forwards inside the cannon where it is collected before being fired. While being collected, the plasma emits a white glow at the front of the firing chamber. The Heavy Plasma Cannons can also be fired at extreme close range, though a considerable amount of splash damage can be done while doing so.

Diablo's Heavy Plasma Cannons are both shoulder mounted, and are able to be used in each of his three modes, as well as when Hyperion is formed.
