Flashpoint was once a fun loving, often helpful speed freak, things have changed. Now he is a warrior who would rather fight alone then risk the slightest chance of going berzerk in battle and injuring the bots fighting along side him, even in his newly re-designed body.
Flashpoint and the Tactibots remained hidden in a stasis chamber onboard the Ark until 2020 when upon extending the facilities of the now stranded Ark, Wheeljack stumbled upon the long forgotten chamber. Once he was freed from stasis he received a vehicle mode of a Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 Litre. Much later, while on his way to an ongoing battle with the Decepticons in 2234, he was attacked by an alien probe. Besides causing severe physical damage, the probe altered his personality slightly, increasing his violent tendencies. After he was repaired, he went straight to the still ongoing battle. During his next battle, he completely lost control, and started to attack his comrades. Flashpoint kept with the Autobots until the Decepticons, learning of his weakness, used his violent side against him, causing him to nearly kill Starstorm, one of his closest friends and fellow Tactibot member. It was then that he decided to leave the Autobots, hoping to return once he learned to control his new, more violent personality. During his self-imposed exile, he learned of the existence of LONAC. He decided to join them, hoping that there he could learn the control he so desperately needed.
