As a former member of the Decepticons, Takedown always had alterior motives and did not follow the beliefs of his comrades. While no one ever knew where exactly it is he came from originally, he appeared on a battlefield one day, but because of his display of power, no one questioned him. He continued to play a role that made the Decepticons believe he was nothing more than a berserker, a warrior with little intelligence, while in reality, he was the exact opposite. During an attack on a Human city, Takedown broke away from the ranks to save a human from being crushed by a falling building. After he was saved from the rubble by a supposed Autobot, he returned with his new ally to Autobot base. While not wanting to join up with the Autobots and worried about rejoining the Decepticons, he decided to leave Earth and look for a new life. For some reason, the Autobot that had saved him, decided to go with him. Later he would find out, however, he was not the only one playing a role...
