Once a Decepticon, Lightning left Galvatron's army unable to put up with the way Galvatron ran the show. A cruel and merciless warrior, Lightning is always angry about something. He speaks with aggression and contempt, and wears no expressions other than those of spite and hatred. Even the way he walks and his gestures portray his eternal rage. Careing for nothing other than to fight and kill, Lightning's aggressiveness has earned him respect and fear from others. Stubborn, and rash in thought, he joined LONAC only as a means to continue battles and fights, which he so enjoys. He respects only the commander of LONAC, Waitstate, and the second in command, Admiral Lilwall.
After being abducted by invading Decepticon forces, he was thought destroyed in an escape attempt alongside Cuffs. However they had both survived, but only barely. An Autobot assault fleet recovered their bodies and returned them to Cybertron for repair. However, as Lightning was not the most agreeable patient, he left half way through his repairs, and found himself slowly rotting in the Dead End sector of Cybertron.
