"Nine times out of ten, I don't have any idea what I'm talking about."
DC, or NDC-Beta, was a pet project by Megatron in the months before the Decepticons' attack on Autobot City, (please visit Cybertron historical database for more information). She was marked a failed creation almost as soon as she was activated; Megatron viewed her as a disappointment, and trashed her. DC, having survived getting "dumped" by Megatron, stole away on a freighter heading for a nearby solar system. For centuries she travelled the galaxy, doing about whatever it took to stay powered and keep from falling apart at her joints. During a visit to a rather primitive colony of neutral ex-Cybertronians she acquired what is to date her only means of offense: a giant mallet made of high-quality Cybertronian alloys.
Hitching a ride on a starcruiser to Adelaide 4's space station turned out to be a mistake for DC. For reasons unknown, she was not permitted to leave the space port, and so remained there for over fifty years, taking up a job as a repair 'bot to earn the credits to keep functioning. One day she met Slipstream, an applicant for LONAC, who convinced DC to apply as well.
