Leaving Cybertron during a past war, Cuffs spent a short amount of time on Earth. He then left Earth and worked as a security officer among the peaceful settlement of neutral Cybertronians on the Nelvada colony. After hundreds of years he became bored with this job and longed for something with more adventure. So when LONAC stopped by Nelvada on a recruiting mission, Cuffs joined them.
After being abducted by invading Decepticon forces, he was thought destroyed in an escape attempt alongside Lightning. However they had both survived, but only barely. An Autobot assault fleet recovered their bodies and returned them to Cybertron for repair. It was soon after he learned of Opal's trial, and regained contact with LONAC via the incident. Being an Adaptitron, Cuffs is capable of acting as a limb for a standard five team gestalt group. When in these forms and connected to a gestalt, he cannot influence the actions of the hosting gestalt. Adaptitrons are built specifically to be unable to meld mentally with other members of a gestalt, which could alter or effect the combined form's personality. |
