[00:33] [narration] Their business completed, the resupplied and patched up LSS Freedom continues on through Autobot space, away from the station, and on to planet Perihelion, LONAC's first planetary colony. Just after the Freedom enters interphase, the local star explodes, destroying the entire system.
[00:34] <Comet> [shipwide comm] All departments, please submit morning status reports.
[00:35] * Waitstate sits in the command chair on the bridge, idly going over supply lists, recent repairs, etc
[00:35] <Leroy> How's it looking, Cap'n?
[00:36] * Slipstream is stretched out in her chair at the tactical station, arms folded behind her head, legs propped up on the console, and to all appearances, seems to be sleeping. On the bridge, no less. Shame on her.
[00:36] * Waitstate starts going over reports as they start to pour in.
[00:36] * Leroy walks up to Waitstate, Sloan and Pratt from White Star flanking him on either side.
[00:36] <Sunspot> [comm] *yawn* Engineering's holding together pretty well with all the new parts I picked up at the station...
[00:36] <Waitstate> Smoothly, actually. It's damn suspicious
[00:36] <Lifeblood> [comm] Medbay reporting no current patients.
[00:36] * Outreach takes a small catnap in Medbay, recharging while he can.
[00:37] * Adam peers over Wait's shoulder from his position atop the command chair's backrest.
[00:37] * Solder restlessly paces around Medbay.
[00:38] * Sloane laughs "You sound like Leroy, Waitstate. You should take the good times as they come."
[00:39] <Waitstate> After the last few months, I'd forgotten what quiet waters felt like, so to speak.
[00:39] <Waitstate> So what do your people think of our universe? I assume you all took a look at the station while we were there.
[00:40] <Pratt> Look? Something that looked like a Toaster screwed a squid took me outta almost 400 credits in a cardgame. *booming laugh*
[00:40] * Avalanche wakes Sarah up from her little cot in his quarters.
[00:40] * Leroy smiles "We...heh, collected data. I must say, it's like walking into a home that looks almost like yours, but not quite..."
[00:40] * Thrashmane sits at his station on the bridge, staring absently at a readout. His optics are glazed over, boredom across his countenance. He lets out a sigh.
[00:40] <Waitstate> Sounds like you're making yourselves at home, Mr... Pratt, isn't it?
[00:41] * Pratt nods. "Call me Al, sir."
[00:41] * Waitstate glances over at the bored lionbot.
[00:42] <Waitstate> Al, eh? I'll try and remember that :)
[00:42] * Slipstream is apparently asleep at her station for a reason. ;) Boredom is contagious, it seems.
[00:43] * Sloane smiles "Yea. Dodds has been going insane. Doing experiments...I don't think he's slept since we jumped through the rip.."
[00:43] <Waitstate> Dodds... remind me?
[00:45] <Adam> -I- thought it was pretty amazing Wait! I thought YOU guys were scary, wow.
[00:46] <Leroy> Wesley Dodds, sir. Our resident mad scientist. Physics, chemistry, engineering....you name it, he's proally smarter than you in it. *chuckle*
[00:46] * Waitstate laughs, which makes Adam scramble to hold on.
[00:46] <Comet> [comm] It's going to be a bit of a shock if you ever see the homeworld, Adam. I've not even.
[00:46] <Waitstate> There's always someone better, I always say.
[00:47] * Avalanche decides to head down to the bar while Sarah goes through her morning routine, thinking about how weird organics are with their showering and post-sleeping stuff, and she won't let him just stick around and watch...
[00:47] * Adam taps his comm. "I'm just not used to having this thing yet. You're Comet, right?"
[00:47] * Pratt nods, getting a large cigar from a storage unit on his White Star belt, lighting it and takes a long drag off of it.
[00:48] <Comet> [comm] Affirmative.
[00:48] * Adam giggles a bit. "You sound so official!"
[00:48] <Comet> [comm] Sorry, it's just something I do.
[00:49] * Thrashmane angsts! About what, we don't know. But he's angsting, and not only that, he's -planning-. That's the important part. It's scary--you should be afraid.
[00:50] <Adam> [comm] Whatcha do on this ship, anyway?
[00:50] * Sloane sighs, looking at his watch. "I'm gonna turn in, Leroy."
[00:50] * Sunspot and Moonstone finish running the morning diagnostics in Engineering and head off to do some more of the minor repairs.
[00:51] * Leroy nods "Go ahead. Wake up McNider, though, he's the night owl..."
[00:51] * Sloane nods and walks off.
[00:52] <Pratt> Ahhhh kids...back in my day....
[00:53] <Comet> [comm] I monitor the area around the ship, checking for obstacles and sometimes helping with navigation courses, and I do a bit of monitoring of onboard activities, too. There are dedicated positions to each, and I help them out where I can. I suppose that's how one would explain it.
[00:53] <Comet> [comm] Anyway, I'm up in Astrometrics. I usually keep a comm channel on the bridge so I know what's going on.
[00:53] <Adam> [comm] Y'sound like the voice in everybody's ears, heh
[00:53] <Comet> [comm] Pardon?
[00:54] <Adam> [comm] You're always listening, and you talk to people when needed.
[00:54] <Comet> [comm] Ah. That sounds about right.
[00:57] * Avalanche gets to the plaza and finds it about as empty as you'd expect first thing in the morning.
[00:58] * Earshot scuttles about the plaza, fartin around...
[00:58] <Comet> Hrm.
[00:58] * Naturally, Diecast is sitting at his usual spot in the bar. He's looking sullen and generally more depressed than usual. Or... wait, is that angst?
[00:58] <Comet> [comm] Captain, there was a minor flux in energy emissions from the station not long after our departure.
[00:59] <Waitstate> [comm] It's, um, still there, right?
[01:00] <Comet> [comm] Difficult to say at this range and this power level.
[01:00] <Waitstate> [comm] Lets cross our fingers, shall we?
[01:01] <Comet> [comm] I... suppose...
[01:01] * Comet makes a note to look up THAT phrase, too.
[01:02] * Avalanche carefully considers his choices and decides to visit Terra's.
[01:03] * Terra is, of course, open. And serving energon-stuffed fullerine crepes.
[01:03] * Chambers and Garrik of White Star sit about in Engineering, Ooo'in and Ahhh'in mostly.
[01:04] * Sunspot explains to Moonstone that the humans are not for playing with.
[01:05] * Earshot scuttleing into Terra's place, transforming and sitting down.
[01:05] <Terra> Ah, my best customer!
[01:07] * Earshot grins broadly. "Hey, can _I_ help it if you serve the best grub I've ever had?"
[01:08] <Terra> *laughs* Have a seat. I have fresh crepes!
[01:08] * Avalanche, having not taken a seat yet, wanders over to Earshot's table. "Mind some company?"
[01:09] * Earshot claps "Hooray!!...what's a crepe?"
[01:09] * Earshot turns to Avy and smiles, patting him on the shoulder "Never, man. Pull up a seat" and turns to Terra "I'll cover his bill"
[01:10] <Solder> I wish someone'd try an' blow us up so.
[01:10] <Avalanche> Heh, can you afford it with all the money you already spend here?
[01:10] * Avalanche takes a seat.
[01:10] <Solder> I wish someone'd try an' blow us up so's we could get some action in here.
[01:10] <Terra> Heh, I'll show you. Avy, hon, stuffed crepes?
[01:11] <Avalanche> That sounds wonderful, Terra.
[01:11] * Earshot chuckles. "This is the only place I spend money, Sunspot."
[01:12] <Terra> Two plates, coming up. *smiles, and departs*
[01:13] * Snake-Eyes arrives at her store and keys in the access code, opening the doors. She moves inside and begins what set up she has to do for the day ahead.
[01:17] <Avalanche> So what's been going on lately? I've been so distracted getting used to this Powermaster business that I've missed out on most of the rest of the ship.
[01:18] * Earshot rubs his head "I don't know, really. I got knocked out in the crash and have been kinda...in my room most of the time."
[01:19] <Avalanche> Ouch, that's a shame...
[01:20] * Earshot shrugs. "Didn't miss out on much, I hear...."
[01:21] <Avalanche> Well, we made it home, at least.
[01:22] * Terra returns with two warm and ionizing plates of fresh energon stuffed fullerene crepes.
[01:22] <Terra> Here ya go, hon. Enjoy, you two!
[01:22] <Avalanche> I'm sure we will. Thanks!
[01:23] * Avalanche regards his plate with interest.
[01:23] * Earshot smiles and grabs one of the crepe, chomping it down quickly. "Mmmmmm!!! It's like there's a party in my mouth and all the beautiful people are invited!" He laughs.
[01:23] * Avalanche grins warily at Earshot.
[01:24] * Terra laughs big.
[01:24] * Avalanche carefully tries one of the odd flaky things.
[01:24] <Terra> I'll get another batch cooking then :)
[01:24] <Comet> [comm, Bridge] Are morning set-sails always so uneventful?
[01:24] <Avalanche> Mmmm, 'spretty good.
[01:25] <Waitstate> [comm] It's never this uneventful. I was telling the White Star boys that it was rather suspicious, heh.
[01:26] <Comet> [comm] Hrm.
[01:26] * Earshot smiles, "Terra, you work _wonders_" and chomps down another crepe "Mmmmmmm."
[01:27] <Sarah> [comm] Avalanche? I'm all ready now. Where are you?
[01:28] <Avalanche> [comm] I'm down in the Plaza, at the Quick Bite. We're having, um...crepes, I think she said. Can you find your way down here?
[01:30] <Sarah> [comm] ...crepes? Okay, I think I can find my way down...
[01:31] <Waitstate> * Terra returns to the kitchen and works on making more.
[01:31] * Earshot leans in, "who was that?"
[01:31] <Avalanche> [comm] Good, you can comm me if you get lost. See ya soon!
[01:31] * Avalanche stuffs another crepe in his mouth.
[01:31] <Avalanche> Hmm? That's Sarah.
[01:32] * Sarah decides to go ahead and suit up in her armor if she's going to be wandering all over the ship. She doesn't entirely trust the environmental controls since Sunspot hasn't entirely finished patching up after the dimension-jumping.
[01:32] <Earshot> Sarah? Sarah who?
[01:33] <Avalanche> She's my partner. *chuckle* If you think YOU got banged up in that crash, you should have seen me.
[01:35] <Earshot> Partner....oh yea! Powermaster...how is that by the way? I mean, what's it like?
[01:37] <Avalanche> It's...
[01:37] * Avalanche looks thoughtful.
[01:37] <Avalanche> It's kinda hard to describe.
[01:39] * Earshot grins, chomping another crepe. "Try me. Heh, we got all night!"
[01:39] * Avalanche looks sheepish.
[01:40] <Avalanche> I dunno, I'm not so great with words...
[01:40] <Avalanche> It's different, though.
[01:41] <Avalanche> I mean, it's nothing extreme like with Headmasters or anything. It's not like we think together. We talk alot on a private comm channel, but that's partly just because she's shy.
[01:43] * Earshot nods, stuffing another crape in his mouth. "So no real connection, eh? How different does it feel? To have that power boost?"
[01:45] <Avalanche> I haven't really gotten to use it. We haven't exactly been in any good fights lately. But it does feel like a different kind of power. And honestly...
[01:45] * Avalanche looks at his plate.
[01:45] <Avalanche> ...I'm not totally sure I'll be able to process this Energon properly without her hooked up.
[01:46] * Terra comes out again.
[01:46] <Terra> You two doing ok out here? Anything I can getcha?
[01:47] * Earshot looks down at his plate a little guilty that he ate before Avalanche, then pushes his plate aside "We'll wait for her then."
[01:47] <Avalanche> Nah, I'm fine. I'll probably be taking off again once Sarah gets down here.
[01:47] * Earshot smiles at Terra "More crepes!" and laughs.
[01:48] <Terra> *smiles* I thought so. And I hope you enjoyed yours, Avy hon.
[01:49] <Avalanche> Oh, your treats are always excellent, Terra.
[01:50] <Earshot> Not hungry, dude? I mean, when Sarah gets here and all...
[01:50] <Terra> Very glad t'hear that *smiles again, and goes to get another helping for the scuttlebug*
[01:51] <Avalanche> We're gonna go hang out elsewhere. Maybe see if the kids are busy with anything. Though...I guess Sunspot's been tied up with all those repairs for a while now...
[01:54] * Garrik and Chambers continue to look in awe of Engineering, occasionally looking over schematics and trying to get a handle on this stuff...
[01:54] * Sunspot continues to make sure Moonstone doesn't try to play with the White Star guys.
[01:55] * Sarah arrives at the Quick Bite, looking relieved that she made it.
[01:56] * Terra comes out to see the new customer, carrying Earshot's plate.
[01:56] * Terra sets it down.
[01:56] <Terra> Careful, these are fresh, so the ion count might still be high :)
[01:56] * Terra goes over to see who it is, looking up entirely too high for several seconds.
[01:57] <Sarah> Oh, ah, hi, sorry, I was just looking for Avalanche...
[01:58] <Terra> *looks down* Oh! Well hi there, you tiny thing, you. Your big friend's right over there. *smiles at the squishie*
[01:59] * Earshot spots the human and smiles. "Hey Avy, check it out" and jams three more crepes down his wordhole.
[02:00] * Sarah finds her way over to Avalanche, but realizes the furniture is far too big.
[02:01] * Avalanche carefully picks Sarah up and sets her on the table.
[02:03] * Avalanche gestures across the table.
[02:03] <Avalanche> This is Earshot. Earshot, this is Sarah.
[02:05] * Sarah nods. "Ah...hello."
[02:05] * Earshot grins goofily, waving. "Hello little one! How goes?"
[02:06] <Sarah> I'm well... How are you this morning?
[02:07] <Earshot> Oh, it's morning? I forgot...I'm good, enjoying some good food and the like. *jams four more crepes into his mouth, chomping them loudly*
[02:08] * Sarah examines these "crepe" things.
[02:08] <Sarah> That's so interesting... You eat this? It's like...robot food?
[02:11] <Avalanche> It's just a specialty of Terra's, making Energon that's modelled after organic food.
[02:11] <Earshot> mughrubhlf luh buhglf....
[02:14] <Sarah> Um...can you use this without me?
[02:15] <Avalanche> Heh, not really... You should get connected anyway if we're gonna wander around the ship.
[02:16] <Sarah> Yeah, I should. Nice to meet you, Earshot!
[02:18] * Earshot smiles and waves "See you two later!"
[02:19] * Sarah transforms into her engine mode and Avalanche attaches her to the big square port in his chest.
[02:21] <Earshot> Nifty!
[02:22] <Avalanche> So I guess we'll be heading off now. I'll see ya around!
[02:22] * Earshot smiles and waves.
[02:23] * Avalanche gets up and heads for the door.
[02:23] <Terra> That gonna be all then? I'm sorry I don't serve anything for your kind, miss. Maybe I should take it up, hmm?
[02:24] <Earshot> Probably a good idea, Terra.
[02:24] <Avalanche> It might be good for business, with all the humans we have around the ship these days.
[02:24] <Terra> Gonna need some new furniture, too I guess :)
[02:24] <Waitstate> Hope to see you two again soon!
[02:27] <Avalanche> Bye, Terra!
[02:27] * Avalanche wanders out into the plaza and looks around for a moment, then decides to head down to the obs deck.
[02:27] * Terra waves a friendly goodbye.
[02:32] [narration] As soon as Avalanche is gone, Earshot begins stuffing and pumping crepes into hismouth like a madman!
[02:56] <Bitstream> * Waitstate points and laughs at Slipstream on the bridge
[02:57] <Skycat> * Slipstream is not as asleep as it appears and cheerfully hurls a certain spiderbot at Wait's face ;)
[02:57] <Bitstream> * Waitstate threatens to HACK IT TO BITS!
