[01:12] [Narraration] A few weeks have passed, and repair on the Freedom has continued rapidly. The humans in White Star's employ are now equipped with exosuits, allowing them to work both in and outside of the ship, greatly increasing the workforce. Though not yet mobile, the ship IS livable. However, many areas are still under repair, including the Plaza.
[01:14] * Comet is watching all the little humans scurry around fixing things.
[01:15] <Solder> Man. They're like... ants, huh?
[01:15] * Waitstate is on the Aux Bridge, researching our situation.
[01:15] * Solder walks up behind Comet.
[01:15] <Comet> ...gah!
[01:15] * Redliner has been trying to assist with repairs! He's made friends with a few of them, and seems quite familiar with dealing with them...
[01:16] * Comet jumps into the air, transforms, flies away, landing on the other end of the Plaza.
[01:16] * Admiral Lilwall happens to be in the Aux Bridge as well.
[01:16] * Gearlock is out in orbit again, with Slipstream...
[01:17] <Comet> [comm] Cirrus! Are you coming back soon? Solder's being a creep...
[01:18] <Admiral Lilwall> (to Wait) Fun situation, eh?
[01:18] <Waitstate> yes, fascinating...
[01:18] * Waitstate is pretty absorbed in the data.
[01:19] <Admiral Lilwall> Good thing we turned up here and not that lovely little mirror verse we encountered a few years ago.
[01:20] <Cirrus> [Comm] Don't worry! Just one more orbit and I'll be back on board. :)

[01:21] <Cirrus> [comm] Just routine surveilence. The Captain wanted me to take a look since the ship has to stay geostationary.

[01:23] <Comet> [comm] ...I mean, I don't think I'm officially a part of the crew, and I don't think the Captain even knows I exist... the Admiral does, but he's second-in-command and it may never come up... but I want to help, and I think I've sufficient skills to be useful...

[01:27] <Admiral Lilwall> Well, repairs to the main bridge should be completed in a day or two.

[01:28] <Admiral Lilwall> I'll have a team continue working in here though, to coordinate repairs to the lower half of the ship.

[01:32] <Restore> [comm] Medbay repairs have been completed. Aside the power issues the whole ship is still experiencing, we're at a good level. Once I've finished putting together the drones that were smashed up I'll
send them off to help out the repair crews.
[01:32] <Waitstate> [comm] Good to hear it. I hate not having proper medical facilities available.
[01:33] <Comet> [comm] Well.. I guess I'll take you word for it... could you at least be the one to break the news and introduce us? I'd be scared to death, and I don't know if the thought will ever cross the Admiral's mind...

[01:37] * Cirrus walks in to the bridge.

[01:38] <Solder> [comm] And the monkey ran away.
[01:39] * Cirrus walks over to Waitstate, data pad in hand.
[01:40] <Cirrus> Here's all my sensor data, sir!
[01:40] <Waitstate> Thanks Cirrus. *scans over it* Good job :)

[01:40] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] I'm sure he'll fine working on his own from this point on, Solder. Continue helping out in another section if he dislikes your presence so much.

[01:40] [narration] Down on the planet's surface in the desert, Firestorm is flaming about with his flamethrowers, making random pieces of glass.
[01:41] * Redliner continues to assist the humans, mostly with carrying things. The whole time, he chats amiably with whoever he meets...
[01:41] <Admiral Lilwall> I wonder if Solder hit his head recently.
[01:41] * Solder wanders off.
[01:41] <Waitstate> Hm... Comet... name rings a bell. One of the refugees, right? I haven't had a chance to go over the files yet.
[01:41] <Cirrus> mhm, that's him!
[01:42] <Cirrus> He wants to say hi and stuff.
[01:42] <Admiral Lilwall> Comet was the bot who determined our current universe situation.
[01:42] <Waitstate> Is he? Then I'd definitely like to meet him.
[01:43] <Cirrus> cool!
[01:43] * Comet tosses things around in the Plaza, in a futile attempt at making the place look somewhat organized.
[01:43] <Waitstate> He's been working the bridge then, I take it?
[01:44] <Admiral Lilwall> Yes, I sent him back here in the first team.
[01:44] <Waitstate> Rare bit of initiative. Yes, definitely should meet him.
[01:45] <Admiral Lilwall> Given the damage to this place he made good use of what he had.
[01:45] <Waitstate> Cirrus, why don't you talk to him and have him contact me?
[01:46] <Cirrus> I will! He'll be happy ^_^
[01:47] * Cirrus scrambles out of the room and heads off like a shot to find Comet.
[01:48] * Cuffs enters the bridge.
[01:48] * Cuffs moves over to Waitstate.
[01:50] <Cuffs> Excuse me sir, my teams have almost finished gathering the remains of the pirate invaders left over from the battle a few months ago.
[01:50] <Waitstate> any usable spare parts?
[01:50] * Solder walks the corridors on the lookout for injured or things in dire need of repair or anything to make himself feel useful.
[01:51] <Cuffs> There are still some areas we cannot yet access of course, but I believe there will be few bodies in them. Would I be correct in assuming they would be good for parts and sent throughout the ship as per engineerings requests?
[01:52] <Waitstate> And medbay, yes.
[01:52] <Waitstate> There are still an number of bots being held together
spot welds and good intentions, unfortunately.
[01:53] <Cuffs> Yes sir. I'll see to it.
[01:53] * Cuffs exits.
[01:53] * Comet has successfully organized things into "salvageable" and "beyond repair" piles.
[01:57] <Waitstate> Lil: anything else I should know about this Comet before I meet him?
[01:58] * Solder continues patrolling the ship.
[01:58] <Admiral Lilwall> He's young, not as young as Cirrus I don't think. He knows what he's on about though. Seems like a nice enough bot, would probably make for a good science department head in the future if he wanted
a job out of it. Based on what I've seen him accomplish for us thus far anyway.
[01:58] [narration] what Firestorm doesn't realise is that the flametanks on his back have a few cracks in them, gradually getting larger.
[01:59] * Redliner carries iron beams, the smaller ones anyway, back and forth for the humans requesting his help; he seems much more interested in chatting however, and frequently has to be reminded to stay on task, scatteredbrained little knob that he is...

[02:00] <Waitstate> Be nice to have a science guy around, eh?
[02:01] <Admiral Lilwall> Not mention make use of the facilities we have on board relating to the field.
[02:03] <Comet> Hrm, now who do I report my work to... ?
[02:04] <Waitstate> He does seem to have talent if he could figure that stuff out with a busted sensor suite.
[02:05] * Comet reports his work to Sunspot, then moves on to do something else.
[02:06] <Admiral Lilwall> With Aries not around, and us in unknown reality, we could do with a science minded bot on the bridge. Maybe when we're at peak operating capacity again we should offer it to him, give him the sim test.
[02:06] * Cirrus stumbles into the wrecked Plaza, nearly tripping over a piece of wall.
[02:06] <Cirrus> Whoa, nasty!
[02:06] * Cirrus looks around some.
[02:06] <Cirrus> Comet? You in here?
[02:07] * Comet is wading piles of junk in the center of the wreck.
[02:08] * Cirrus wades through the dimly lit mess.
[02:08] <Comet> ...?
[02:08] <Cirrus> never realized how big this place really was...
[02:08] <Comet> Cirrus?
[02:08] <Comet> Cirrus, was that you?
[02:08] * Comet looks up and around.
[02:09] * Solder stumbles onto the aux bridge.
[02:09] <Cirrus> Comet? Where are you? *looks around*
[02:09] * Waitstate perks up.
[02:09] <Waitstate> Solder? Something to report?
[02:09] <Solder> ...oh! Uh, hi. Don't mind me, I'm be g-ggoi-ggoin--leaving no-w-wwww....uh, yeah....
[02:09] * Solder dimly sparks and spackles.
[02:09] <Waitstate> um... alright...
[02:09] * Waitstate looks over to Lil, confused.
[02:09] * Solder leaves the aux bridge.
[02:10] <Solder> That was... odd....
[02:10] * Solder scans himself.
[02:10] * Admiral Lilwall moves over to the ops/comm console to work on other things.
[02:10] <Solder> ...oh. Of course. You again.
[02:10] <Admiral Lilwall> Like I said, probably hit his head or something.
[02:11] <Waitstate> I'm thinking multiple times.
[02:11] * Solder opens up an access panel on his torso, does something to a circuit board as casually as flipping a light switch, closes it up and walks off as if nothing ever happened.
[02:11] <Waitstate> Cirrus bailed for recon duty earlier when I suggested he work with the guy.
[02:12] <Admiral Lilwall> And Solder mentioned Comet hated him, he didn't seem to feel that way when they were first working together.
[02:12] <Admiral Lilwall> I don't know Solder very well myself, maybe he's not a nice guy.
[02:12] <Waitstate> I wonder what the deal is?
[02:13] <Admiral-Lilwall> Of course, knowing our luck that probably won't be the case. Maybe he's Unicron?
[02:13] <Waitstate> Always seemed amiable enough to me. I'm afraid I haven't had much of a chance to be social lately though.
[02:13] * Waitstate laughs.
[02:13] <Waitstate> He would be, yeah *snickers*
[02:13] * Cirrus follows Comet's voice.
[02:14] [narration] Just as Firestorm is about to finish off a rather nice looking glassy object, the tanks on his back shatter, sending flammable liquids all over him. In all the madness, the flamers on his wrists manage to ignite the liquid, quickly sending him up in flames. Moments later, theres an explosion, and many pieces scattered all over the landscape.
[02:14] <Comet> Cirrus...?
[02:14] <Comet> Huh. Must be hearing things...
[02:15] * Redliner pauses in the midst of his chatter to listen... his hearing is rather acute, despite what people might say about his attention span...
[02:15] <Redliner> ....? Er... what was that...
[02:16] * Solder only manages to move a few meters away from the aux bridge door before collapsing into stasis.
[02:16] * Cirrus locates Comet and approaches.
[02:16] * Gearlock chats idly with Slipstream as they continue to cruise just above atmosphere...
[02:17] * Comet hears something and spins around, to find...
[02:17] <Comet> Cirrus!
[02:17] <Comet> ..or not?
[02:17] <Cirrus> There ya are!
[02:17] <Comet> ...oh!
[02:18] <Cirrus> I talked to the big guy for ya.
[02:18] * Comet retracts one hand and a beam of light replaces it.
[02:19] <Comet> Really? What did he say?
[02:19] <Comet> Easy to get lost in here, huh?
[02:19] * Comet shines the flashlight around.
[02:19] <Cirrus> he wants you to say hi and stuff ^_^
[02:19] <Comet> ...r-really?

[02:22] * Redliner sets down whatever he's carrying. He apologizes to the human with him, and then runs off to find the nearest LONAC bot standing around that particular part of the construction site...
[02:22] <Comet> Wow... I didn't do it alone, though..
[02:22] <Comet> I was just doing what I'm good at...
[02:22] <Comet> And you helped.
[02:23] <Cirrus> yeah, but I sure never woulda figured that stuff out.
[02:23] <Comet> Still.
[02:23] <Comet> You helped.
[02:24] <Comet> Part of me's afraid to go... but part of me says I should go get it over with.
[02:24] <Cirrus> I think ya should.
[02:24] <Comet> Then ANOTHER part of me says I've got a job to do here and should finish it first...
[02:25] * Comet waves the flashlight around again for emphasis.
[02:25] <Cirrus> pfft, anybody can do this

[02:26] * Lightning moves another set of iron beams out of the way of the workers and notices Redliner approaching him.
[02:26] <Cirrus> well, true...
[02:26] <Cirrus> you can always come back :)
[02:27] [narration] A dozen or so civ bots arrive in the plaza ruins to help whoever else was in there, as if on cue.
[02:27] <Comet> Well... okay, if you say so. Will you come with me?
[02:27] <Comet> ...
[02:27] <Comet> Well.
[02:27] <Cirrus> sure ^_^
[02:27] <Comet> I guess THAT settles it...
[02:27] <Comet> Okay, okay, I'll go now...
[02:27] * Comet trots towards the door, but stops.

[02:28] <Comet> He's not going to be upset if I can find my way around the galaxy but am completely lost just in this little ship, is he?
[02:28] <Comet> Because, uh, I still haven't had a chance to download or create my own map yet.

[02:29] * Redliner spots the seekerbot and runs up to him. "Did you hear that?" he asks, looking worried. "I mean, was that er... scheduled?" he adds, apprehensively.
[02:29] <Comet> I'm serious! What kind of impression does that leave as a navigator?
[02:29] <Cirrus> a ship isnt anything like space!
[02:29] <Comet> Hmph.
[02:30] <Comet> Well, anyway. I'll take your word for it. Lead the way, Sir?
[02:30] * Cirrus giggles at being called "Sir", and starts marching mock-authoritatively toward a lift.
[02:30] * Comet follows.
[02:31] <Cirrus> *in a mock-official voice* "This way!"
[02:31] * Comet salutes over-enthusiastically.
[02:32] <Lightning> Not that I know of. Perhaps we should investigate.
[02:32] <Comet> What's the Captain like, anyway? I don't think I even know his *name*...
[02:32] <Comet> I think I know he's gray and that's it.
[02:32] <Comet> Is he cold and impersonable?
[02:32] <Comet> Like gray?
[02:33] * Comet frets.
[02:33] <Cirrus> nah, Captain Waitstate is a great guy!
[02:33] <Comet> He's going to be hyper-strict and I'm going to choke, I know it...

[02:36] * Lightning shifts to jet mode and heads in the general direction of the explosion.
[02:36] * Redliner nods and as Lightning takes off, he drops down into bikemode to follow.
[02:37] * Comet twiddles his thumbs as the lift moves.
[02:39] * Lightning arrives at the scene to see lots of pieces of burning metal, smoke, and a large scorched patch on the ground.
[02:39] <Comet> How long are we going to be in this lift, Cirrus? It's like it's taking forever...
[02:39] <Cirrus> "Follow me!" *giggles as the lift opens.*
[02:39] <Comet> ...
[02:40] <Comet> That's getting a tad creepy. /:)
[02:40] * Comet follows.
[02:40] <Comet> First down in the Plaza, now here.. what's next?
[02:40] * Lightning shifts to bot mode and lands, scanning the area.
[02:40] * Cirrus comes to a sudden stop: Solder is laying sprawled across the floor.
[02:40] * Redliner is a little slower, since he can't keep up with jets in the sky... distantly however, he can spot the trails of dark smoke in trailing upward and becomes apprehensive as he speeds along...

[02:41] <Comet> I wish I hadn't asked...
[02:41] <Comet> Maybe we should... just leave him... what do you think?
[02:42] <Cirrus> Yeah... I dont wanna touch him...
[02:42] * Lifeblood is reorganizing everything in medbay.
[02:42] * Cirrus starts to carefully step over the unconscious, creepy medic
[02:43] <Lightning> [comm] Lightning to Freedom.
[02:43] * Comet does the same...
[02:43] <Comet> Should we tell somebody, though?
[02:43] <Comet> Maybe he'll just lay there and...die...

[02:46] <Lightning> [comm] Redliner noted an explosion away from the construction site. We've moved in to investigate and now have unfortunate news.

[02:47] <AdmiraL Lilwall> Lightning> [comm] Firestorm, I believe.
[02:47] * Cirrus enters the bridge, shaken.
[02:47] * Admiral-Lilwall looks over to Waitstate.
[02:47] * Comet walks in just after Cirrus.

[02:48] * Waitstate can't hear the comm, presumably.
[02:49] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Standby, Lightning.
[02:49] <Admiral Lilwall> Redliner and Lightning investigated an explosion, it was Firestorm.
[02:50] <Waitstate> Geez, what's that idiot blowing up THIS time?
[02:50] <Admiral-Lilwall> Himself. He's dead.
[02:50] <Waitstate> WHAT??
[02:50] * Redliner zooms over the flat desert, making detours around the more sandy areas that will slow him down. He slows as he reaches the site of destruction and shifts to botmode next to Lightning...
[02:50] * Cirrus cringes in a corner.
[02:50] <Solder> [comm] *weakly and static-inflicted* to... who..eever.... th...thz is... So...Solr... he...help me.... ...ux rid....*spark fizzle fade*
[02:50] * Solder collapses again.
[02:51] <Waitstate> if this is a joke, it's not funny.
[02:51] <Redliner> "oh... oh primus, what the hell happened...?!" he exclaims, looking aghast. He quickly subs in his rifle. "No, Firestorm...!" And he'd only been pestering him to boredom the other day...
[02:52] <Admiral Lilwall> Scanners are comfirming it now..
[02:52] <Comet> ...great damper on the mood, huh?
[02:52] <Admiral Lilwall> And that other comm just came from right outside the bridge.
[02:52] * Comet, still standing, looks down at Cirrus.
[02:52] * Admiral Lilwall gets up and moves past Cirrus and Comet.
[02:53] <Waitstate> Damnit, what's going on here? I want an investigation planetside, NOW.
[02:53] <Admiral Lilwall> Solder is down! [comm] Medical team to the aux bridge right now!
[02:54] <Lifeblood> [comm] Lifeblood. Acknowledged.
[02:54] * Lifeblood clanks down the hall to a lift.
[02:55] * Cirrus looks up at Comet, half guilty about Solder.
[02:56] <Comet> There was... nothing you... uh, we... could've done, Cirrus.... yeah....
[02:56] * Redliner instantly looks sad and shocked and horrified all at the same time. "Lightning, do you think he was attacked?!"
[02:57] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] Cuffs, Restore, go planetside and rendevous with Lightning and Redliner, Firestorm is dead and we want to know why.
[02:57] <Cuffs> [comm] Acknowledged
[02:57] <Lightning> I do not know. I heard nothing that sounded like combat.
[02:58] <Restore> [comm] On my way.
[02:58] * Lifeblood travels to the auxiliary bridge.
[02:58] * Solder is lying a few meters from the entrance to the aux bridge, in the corridor.
[02:58] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Lightning, we're sending bots down to you. They'll be there soon.
[02:59] * Admiral Lilwall is waiting by Solder for the med bot(s) to arrive.
[02:59] * Lifeblood arrives.
[03:00] <Lightning> Are there any other Tactibots on the planet? We should probably notify them.
[03:00] * Comet watches Lifeblood in awe.
[03:00] <Lifeblood> What is the situation?
[03:00] * Redliner grips his rifle apprehensively, his face grim. "This is... this is just awful. I'm... I'm going to... to patrol around t-to see -- err... yeah, there are... I can go and find them..." he mumbles.
[03:00] * Comet realizes he's being rude and stops.
[03:01] <Admiral Lilwall> Don't know, he stopped by the bridge about 20minutes ago, was acting a little strange and left. He tried to comm for help just before.
[03:01] <Lifeblood> Understood. We should remove him to medbay.
[03:01] * Lightning nods and goes about extinguishing the flames.
[03:03] * Admiral Lilwall picks Solder up without too much trouble and carries him to medbay, following Lifeblood.
[03:04] * Cuffs and Restore enter a shuttle and head down to the planet.
[03:04] <Acer> * Redliner backs off a bit, staring at the more recognizeable chunks of Firestorm that helped him identify the remains. An expression of despair cross his face and then he quickly drops down to bikemode, tearing
off across the desert back to the Freedom...

[03:04] * Lifeblood heads to medbay.
[03:05] * Waitstate exits the bridge as Lifeblood departs, still wishing to avoid the doctor.
[03:06] <Waitstate> Is Solder alright?
[03:06] * Waitstate asks whoever's present.
[03:07] <Comet> Uh, sir... I, uh, found him out there... but I didn't do anything... he kind of scares me... but that's no excuse. I'll accept responsibility.
[03:07] <Comet> uh, by the way, so you know who to blame, my name is Comet... sir...
[03:07] <Waitstate> Ahh, so you're Comet? It's good to meet you, but unfortunately not the best of times. Why... did you leave him?

[03:16] * Cuffs lands the shuttle nearby before he and Restore exit and move over to Lightning.

[03:29] * Lifeblood's optics flash with frustration.
[03:30] <Waitstate> well, what exactly have you been doing?
[03:30] <Comet> Helping with the cleanup... as much as I can... shall I continue with that?
[03:30] <Restore> I think we've got ourselves and accident here. The fragments of his fuel tanks indicate damage or poor maintainence long before the explosion.
[03:31] * Solder's arm falls off, as if on cue.
[03:32] <Restore> I'll have to get this all back to medbay to be certain, but I'd say his tanks ruptured while he was using his flamethrowers.
[03:32] <Waitstate> For now, that sounds like a good idea. But when it comes time to leave, I think you should be on the bridge to help plot our course.
[03:33] <Comet> Yes, Sir; will do, Sir. T-thank you for giving me a chance, Sir. Um, I... hope I won't be eh-imposing on Cirrus' duties too much? I... I understand he had similar d-d-duties...

[03:34] * Admiral Lilwall picks Solder's arm up off the floor and puts it next to the rest of him.
[03:34] <Waitstate> True, but mostly he uses the computer for course plotting. I don't imagine he'll mind much.

[03:35] <Lightning> He's patrolling the area and looking out for other Tactibots, incase this was not an accident.
[03:35] <Waitstate> after the ship is back in working order. It's mostly a formality, since you've already more or less proven yourself.

[03:39] <Admiral Lilwall> I'd have thought a medic would know better,
[03:39] <Lifeblood> Some as yet unknown event caused an overload in one of the systems. Feedback from that passed from one system to the next, readily pushing them all above their abnormally low tolerance thresholds.
[03:40] * Cirrus is sitting in the helm seat, trying to be inconspicuous.

[03:41] <Admiral Lilwall> Hm, Cirrus and Comet may know something about that. Do what you can for Solder, I'm going to go ask them.
[03:42] <Lifeblood> Acknowledged.
[03:42] * Cirrus waves semi-shyly
[03:42] * Admiral Lilwall heads back towards the aux bridge.

[04:02] <Admiral Lilwall> No, definatly not.
[04:02] * Admiral Lilwall transmits the data to Lifeblood via the console he's at.
[04:02] * Lifeblood recieves the data.
[04:02] * Comet glances over at Waitstate.
[04:03] * Waitstate returns the glance, prompting Comet to speak.
[04:04] * Comet turns away quickly and stammers. "Um, if that's everything... uh, the Plaza is a mess and... I'd like to... y'know... clean it?"
[04:04] * Waitstate laughs. "Alright, go on. I'll comm you if I need you up here, I suppose. Cirrus, why don't you go help him?"
[04:05] * Comet nods.
[04:05] <Comet> Thank you again, Sir.
[04:05] * Cirrus gives Comet a comforting squeeze and nods.
[04:05] * Restore enters Medbay with a cart full for Firestorm parts behind her.
[04:05] * Comet exits the bridge, waits for Cirrus, and sprints off as soon as the doors shut.
[04:06] * Cirrus runs along with him
[04:06] <Cirrus> That wasn't so bad!
[04:06] <Restore> What happened to Solder? *moving the cart to a work area*
[04:06] <Lifeblood> Everything.
[04:06] * Comet shoots a piercing glare at Cirrus.
[04:06] * Cirrus giggles
[04:07] <Restore> At least he stayed in one piece. *notes the detatched arm* Mostly.
[04:07] <Comet> C'mon, we've got work to do.
[04:08] * Cirrus nods and grins and runs
[04:08] * Comet runs faster.
[04:08] <Restore> Want a hand with anything?
[04:10] * Solder's optic band flashes brightly, then dims back to its previous state.
[04:10] <Lifeblood> Negative.
[04:11] <Lifeblood> The work is too highly-coordinated to benefit from multiple executors.
[04:12] * Cirrus races Comet to the Plaza.
[04:13] <Restore> Alright then, I'll get to work on Firestorm. *starts a more detailed examination*
[04:14] * Comet fails to put up a decent challenge to Cirrus in the cramped corridors.
[04:15] <Admiral Lilwall> So, how did your chat with Comet go?
[04:16] <Waitstate> The kid was nervous as hell, heh. He's no Cirrus, lemme tell you
[04:16] <Admiral Lilwall> Good, I'll save on credits.
[04:17] * Waitstate snickers.
[04:17] <Waitstate> You and me both!
[04:17] <Waitstate> Let's hope he doesn't pick up any bad habits, eh?
[04:18] <Admiral Lilwall> If he does we'll freeze Cirrus' account as an example.
[04:19] <Waitstate> like he's ever needed an account to weasel money out of people.
[04:20] <Admiral-Lilwall> True. Least theres been no new shopping opportunities the past few months.
