Session Start: Sun May 25 01:36:54 2003
[01:38] * The Freedom crew is beginning repairs on the ship and getting things together on planet.
[01:41] * Sunspot is still hard at work trying to get all the ship's systems at least marginally functional.
[01:41] * Comet analyzes charts and stuff on the bridge navcomp, since he was given permission and all.
[01:42] * Anchor assists Sunspot in getting the ship... ship-shape.
[01:42] * Gearlock is still hanging out with Slipstream out in orbit, checking out for missing bits or importants bits dropped...
[01:43] * Diecast mills around back on the temp-HQ on the planet, attempting to be of some use but not doing a very good job.
[01:44] * Avalanche helps move heavy things at the planetside camp.
[01:44] * Lifeblood is quietly contemplating, with the wounded finally taken care of.
[01:44] * Gravix is sitting by the camp fire.
[01:44] * Solder is pacing around the ship looking for things that need fixing.
[01:45] <Solder> I'm a doctor, not an engineer... ah well. I s'pose in the world'o'robotics there ain't much tootin' diff'rence, rilly...
[01:46] <Solder> ...where did Restore get off to, anyway?
[01:46] * Jak is off trying to chat up various members of the human populace.
[01:47] * Earshot scurries over the hulled freedom, fixing tiny things along the wall.
[01:48] <Solder> [comm] Solder to Restore.
[01:48] * Outreach sits with LeRoy and a few other White Star personel, looking over inventory and needed supply lists.
[01:48] <Comet> ...how does one find a dimensional gate, anyway?
[01:48] <Comet> I don't know how we'll get home... :(
[01:48] <Cirrus> A what?
[01:48] <Restore> [comm] go ahead
[01:49] <Comet> We're in an alternate dimension, Cirrus. A different timeline.
[01:49] <Cirrus> How'd ya figure that out?
[01:49] <Solder> [comm] Hey, babe. Where'd ya go?
[01:49] <Comet> ...didn't anyone tell you, Cirrus?
[01:50] <Comet> I know I told the Admiral...
[01:50] <Comet> I assume he told the Commander...
[01:50] <Restore> [comm] back to whats left of medbay to work on casualties. and i'm NOT your 'babe'.
[01:50] <Cirrus> News isnt exactly flowing around here lately.
[01:50] <Cirrus> 'sides, I've been busy... *looks guiltily at a half-wired console and a portable game machine set on pause*
[01:51] <Solder> [comm] Alrightalright...sorry. Do you need anything up there? I'm not really a not-alive-in-the-first-place kinda fixer-robot.
[01:51] <Comet> We're in another timeline.
[01:51] <Comet> One where... well, Transformers don't exist.
[01:52] * Gearlock cruises around continually, exchanging snipes or barbs or bad jokes with Slipstream while he's at it.
[01:52] <Comet> Hence the natives' interest in us. They'd never seen anything like us before.
[01:52] <Restore> [comm] Aside from parts and tools, no. Just do whatever you can to help whoever else needs it.
[01:52] <Cirrus> That's silly. Of course we exist.
[01:53] <Comet> No, no, you don't get it. Transformers were never created or evolved or what have you in this timestream. This isn't OUR timestream.
[01:53] * Diecast trudges up to Lifeblood and plops onto his back. He starts starring up at the sky, lets out a sigh, and throws a glance over to the good doctor "Hey, Doc..."
[01:53] <Comet> We've got to get back home, but... I don't know how.
[01:53] * LeRoy lights a cigarette, Outreach looking at him with a scowl.
[01:53] <Solder> [comm] Ten-four, lady. Solder out.
[01:53] <Cirrus> ohhh... I've hearda stuff like that. Mostly on TV shows though. It's real? wow...
[01:54] <Cirrus> I thought maybe we were just pushed through a wormhole. I've flown enough of those to know they're pretty real.
[01:54] <Comet> Yeah..
[01:54] * Lifeblood cocks his head.
[01:54] <Cirrus> And pretty nasty, too.
[01:54] <Lifeblood> I am afraid you have me at a disadvantage.
[01:54] <Cirrus> Sometimes anyway.
[01:55] <Diecast> Oh, I do?
[01:55] <Comet> Maybe. But how do we find one, much less know it'll put us where we want it to?
[01:55] <Diecast> *sits up abruptly* Oh! Where the hell are my mannars? Diecast at your service!
[01:56] <Lifeblood> Greetings, Diecast. I am Lifeblood.
[01:56] <Cirrus> I dunno... maybe there's one where that base was. Even if it doesn't exist in this reality, I betcha there's a link. :)
[01:56] <Diecast> *smirks* Oh yeah, I know.
[01:57] * Diecast clicks his tongue and winks.
[01:57] <Comet> Hmmm...
[01:57] <Comet> That's actually not a bad idea...
[01:57] * Outreach leaves for the city, LeRoy and several White Star vehicles going with him
[01:57] * Comet enters the cordinates into the navcomp.
[01:57] <Comet> Hey, do we have helm control yet?
[01:58] <Lifeblood> It is an unfortunate situation we find ourselves in.
[01:58] <Comet> ...that's unexpected. Well, it's expected, but it shouldn't be. I mean...
[01:58] <Cirrus> ummm... *connects a new wire in* looks like partial, yeah. we wont be losing orbit any time soon anyway.
[01:58] <Comet> ...there's gravity where the base was. There might BE a wormhole there.
[01:58] <Diecast> What, stranded on an alien world, our only means of transportation destroyed? Naw, that's not unfortunate.
[01:58] <Comet> You wanna comm whoever's in charge at the moment?
[01:58] <Diecast> Aheheh
[01:59] <Cirrus> How much gravity? How far away are we from it? If you can read it from here, it might be worse'n a wormhole...
[01:59] * Solder manages to turn the lights on in the corridor he's been skulking in.
[02:00] <Comet> Hm? Oh, no. It's fine. It's just like a wormhole should read... I think...
[02:00] <Comet> I mean, I've never actually DONE this before...
[02:00] <Comet> I suppose there's a risk..
[02:00] <Comet> ...a slight, possible risk we'll be crushed or something...
[02:00] <Lifeblood> "Though I found myself in a strange cave made of rust, far from any center of communication, on no map coded by Cybertron, I bore the shield of duty, and suffered no ill."
[02:01] <Diecast> Covenant of Primus?
[02:01] <Cirrus> well, I was thinkin' a black hole or singularity or somethin'. You can use those, but they're not the most fun to fly...
[02:01] * Lifeblood nods.
[02:01] <Diecast> Now... was that Sentinal 12:33:9?
[02:01] <Comet> They're all the same thing, Cirrus, really.
[02:02] <Cirrus> it's allll scale, y'know?
[02:02] <Comet> It mostly depends on your approach... theoretically.
[02:02] <Lifeblood> "Codex of the Founder", second verse.
[02:02] <Comet> If you go at it right, you'll go through. But mess up, and you get squashed.
[02:02] <Diecast> My mistake.
[02:02] <Diecast> Um... so you're a religious guy, yeah?
[02:02] * Avalanche totes dat heavy stuff. Oh yeah.
[02:03] <Lifeblood> There are not many who could even name the Books, now.
[02:03] * Solder continues finding corridors to turn lights on in.
[02:03] <Lifeblood> I believe.
[02:03] <Cirrus> I jumped a pulsar once years back. That wasn't fun at all. :(
[02:03] <Comet> Not at all?
[02:04] <Comet> What happened
[02:04] <Comet> ?
[02:04] <Solder> Man.
[02:04] <Solder> [comm] Solder to Engineering.
[02:05] <Cirrus> s'like gettin' your insides put on your outsides for a while.
[02:05] <Diecast> I'm down with that. I can respect a chap who's got faith.
[02:05] * Comet giggles.
[02:05] <Lifeblood> It is hard to fault those who have strayed.
[02:05] <Comet> That sounds like one of the Autobot's crazy new technology schemes! :D
[02:06] <Cirrus> *giggles back*
[02:06] <Comet> You know, how they're always trying to make up for the Decepticons having better guns.
[02:06] * Sunspot gets the gravity working on the bridge and feels a sense of accomplishment.
[02:06] <Lifeblood> Our have been on trial.
[02:06] * Comet slams down into a chair.
[02:06] <Comet> Ow.
[02:06] <Lifeblood> For tens of millions of years.
[02:06] <Solder> [comm] Solder to Engineering, take two. Beep beep.
[02:06] * Cirrus hops up!
[02:06] <Cirrus> You ok!
[02:07] <Comet> Fine.
[02:07] * Cirrus- was in his seat, more or less.
[02:07] <Comet> Did you contact the Bossbots?
[02:07] <Diecast> Well, ya know, I can't say I've been exactly sin-free myself.
[02:07] <Cirrus> Huh?
[02:07] <Comet> Oh.
[02:07] <Sunspot> [comm] Hi, Solder! How's it coming?
[02:07] <Lifeblood> No one is perfect.
[02:07] <Comet> Well, I'd asked if you wanted to contact whoever's in charge to tell them about the possible wormhole...
[02:07] <Cirrus> Guessin' Sunny got things going down there.
[02:07] <Cirrus> ohhh.
[02:08] <Cirrus> sorry, guess I didn't hear ya. *turns off his game guiltily*
[02:08] <Solder> [comm] Well, I've been turinin' lights on. Is there anything... I dunno, more important I could do? I'm willing to learn! Alternativ'ly, is the floaty-floaty space deck fixed yet?
[02:08] * Comet smiles.
[02:08] <Comet> It's okay. Well, do you, or shall I?
[02:09] <Cirrus> Maybe we both can! :)
[02:09] * Cirrus gets up and sits down in the big chair, and starts fiddling with the comm controls.
[02:09] <Sunspot> [comm] I've got gravity on the bridge. I'll work on the deck next. You could go see what's physically broken down that way. That's how everybody's gonna have to come onboard right now anyway.
[02:10] * Cirrus giggles and shifts around, being a lot smaller than the average commanding officer.
[02:10] <Solder> [comm] ...through the observation deck?
[02:10] <Comet> Be careful up there...
[02:10] <Cirrus> Silly, 'course I will...
[02:11] * Comet nods.
[02:11] <Sunspot> [comm] Ohhh, I thought you meant the launch bay... Don't listen to me, I'm just getting distracted with all this... Um...yeah, see how the structure of the launch bay is before we bring in any more ships.
[02:12] <Solder> [comm] ...you do realize we blew out the observation deck during the fight, right?
[02:12] <Solder> [comm] Ah. Alrighty.
[02:12] * Solder starts off for the launch bay.
[02:13] <Diecast> Used to work for a hitman racket down on the opposite end of the galaxy.
[02:14] <Lifeblood> Indeed.
[02:16] <Diecast> It was a... well, it was deffinately a strange occupation.
[02:16] <Diecast> Rewarding, in that I-Just-Ended-A-Life way, ya know?
[02:16] * Solder reaches the launch bay.
[02:16] * Cirrus finds the right buttons and hails the planet. Hopefully not in such a way that cuts across frequencies he shouldnt be playing with...
[02:17] <Diecast> Though I myself probably only knocked off a few people. Three or somthing.
[02:17] <Solder> Hrm.
[02:17] <Solder> [comm to Engineering] There seems to be a problem, Sunspot.
[02:18] <Cirrus> [comm] anybody down there? This is Cirrus!
[02:18] <Sunspot> [comm] Uh oh... We do still HAVE a launch bay, right? I mean, that's where we came in and all... It hasn't fallen off since then, has it?
[02:19] <Solder> [comm] Well, that's the thing. I can't tell. The door refuses to open, and refuses to repressurize. We seem to have power here at the entrance, so I'm hoping maybe power's cut between hear and the outer airlock, and the airlock is still in one piece, just stuck open 'cuz of no power. But I can't check. SO I figured you'd have a ship-wide schematic of the damage or something, that you could check up there and see just what's wrong with the bay.
[02:20] * Solder is a rambler.
[02:20] * Sunspot calls up the diagnostics on the bay entrance area.
[02:20] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] yes, Cirrus.
[02:21] <Cirrus> Commander! Hi!
[02:21] <Cirrus> Me and Comet figured some inportant stuff out. ^_^
[02:21] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] that being?
[02:22] <Sunspot> [comm] Hmm, it looks like there's a problem with the power circuit for the door. It looks like something that'll have to be done manually. There's an access panel beside the door, think you can take a look?
[02:22] <Cirrus> Well, I think Comet toldya he thinks we're in another universe and stuff, right?
[02:22] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] yes.
[02:22] <Cirrus> Good!
[02:22] <Cirrus> Well, see, we went looking where that base we were at oughta be, if we were in the right place, and we found a gravity well!
[02:22] <Cirrus> isnt that awesome?
[02:23] <Solder> [comm] Sure. I was just worried there wouldn't be an outer lock door to close at all. Thanks.
[02:23] * Solder opens the panel.
[02:23] * Solder is greeted with lots and lots of wires.
[02:23] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] it might if you tell me why you think so.
[02:23] <Cirrus> huh?
[02:23] <Cirrus> ohhh.
[02:23] <Diecast> Anyway, been a blast talkin' to ya, doc. I gotta go, though. I've got a few things to attend to.
[02:24] <Lifeblood> Farewell.
[02:24] <Cirrus> 'cause we think it might be a wormhole! or maybe a black hole. or somethin'. Anyway, it might be a way home!
[02:24] * Diecast stands up and waves quickly as he walks off. "Don't sound so melodramatic, doc."
[02:24] <Sunspot> [comm] The wiring's that blown out should be easy to pick out because it'll be the stuff that's all charred and melted.
[02:24] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] how far away is it?
[02:24] <Solder> [comm] So... all of it, then?
[02:24] * Solder pokes and prods the wires.
[02:24] <Cirrus> uhh... kinda far. Comet? You got the navicomp thingy running, dontcha?
[02:25] <Solder> [comm] I think I found something.
[02:25] * Diecast is now known as Grape-B-Gone
[02:25] <Solder> (c'mon, Solder, you're a doctor... this isn't much different...)
[02:25] <Comet> Yes. Shall I transmit through the comm?
[02:25] <Sunspot> [comm] It's not that hard to figure it out, I'm sure you can do it!
[02:26] <Solder> Hrm.
[02:26] * Sunspot reroutes the power to that panel so Solder doesn't hurt himself.
[02:26] * Solder measures voltage.
[02:26] * Gravix dances.
[02:26] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] yes.
[02:26] * Solder crosses a few wires, connects them, and flips the nearby circuit breaker to close the circuit.
[02:27] <Solder> [comm] That should work. There was insufficient power for everything, so I had to leave out some non-essential functions. Mostly monitor LEDs and such.
[02:27] <Solder> [comm] Let's see if it works...
[02:27] <Solder> And the cybermonkey flips the switch...
[02:28] * Sunspot routes the power back to the door.
[02:28] * Solder punches the button.
[02:28] <Solder> Pressurizing.
[02:28] <Solder> [comm] Seems't've worked!
[02:29] <Sunspot> [comm] Good! I'll work on getting the computer systems for the bay up and running. You check out the physical end of things.
[02:29] <Solder> Rightio.
[02:29] * Solder enters the bay.
[02:29] <Solder> Huh.
[02:30] <Solder> All this... blackness...
[02:30] * Solder searches his systems for some sort of non-light-based vision mode.
[02:31] * Solder goes thermo...
[02:42] <Solder> Well. I can see a little better like... this...
[02:43] <Solder> [comm] Sunspot, I'm seeing unusual heat signatures down here. Doesn't look like part of the ship, more li - urrk. *static*
[02:45] <Sunspot> [comm] Solder? Hey, is everything okay down there?
[02:45] * Admiral-Lilwall recieves data on a subchannel indicating distance and route data. It's a trip of a few weeks at least, assuming no stops and a repaired ship. It takes a slightly different angle into that area of space than was taken in our own universe.
[02:45] <Solder> [comm] *static*
[02:46] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] i'll pass it along. Lilwall out.
[02:46] <Cirrus> bye!
[02:46] <Sunspot> [shipwide comm] Um, hey, is anybody available to go down to the launch bay?
[02:46] <Comet> You're very informal, you know that?
[02:46] <Cirrus> Umm, Cirrus out. *giggle*
[02:47] * Admiral-Lilwall heads over to Waitstate and gives him the info.
[02:47] <Cirrus> Overwrite used to tell me that lots. Though he was mean about it.
[02:47] <Comet> Muchly?
[02:47] <Comet> ...hey, are we available to go down to the launch bay?
[02:48] <Cirrus> uh-huh *nods solomnly*
[02:48] <Cirrus> I dunno
[02:48] <Cirrus> maybe we should ask?
[02:48] <Comet> Ask... who?
[02:48] * Comet looks around.
[02:48] <Cirrus> I got told to work up here, but it's kinda boring.
[02:48] <Comet> She sounds kinda urgent...
[02:49] <Cirrus> I dunno. Sunny maybe? She's fixin' stuff too.
[02:49] * Comet shrugs.
[02:49] <Comet> Female. All I know.
[02:49] <Comet> Here, listen.
[02:49] * Comet replays the comm at higher volume.
[02:49] <Cirrus> she sounds nervous.
[02:50] * Cirrus finds a button to call her back
[02:50] <Cirrus> [comm] Hey Sunny? Me 'n Comet are on the bridge. I'm fixin stuff, and he's doing research, but maybe we could come down and help...
[02:50] * Sunspot tries to reroute the power to the life support in the organic residential section of the ship while worriedly listening for replies on the comm.
[02:50] * Gravix hangs out.
[02:51] <Sunspot> [comm] Oh, good... I knew somebody else had to be up here... Could you guys go check on Solder in the launch bay? He was checking out the power down there and he cut out, and I can't get ahold of him.
[02:52] <Cirrus> [comm] Sure, guess so. Comet, wanna go?
[02:53] <Comet> Sure.
[02:53] <Sunspot> [comm] You should probably go together. I don't know what's going on down there. I'm trying to get the lights online, but something's wrong...
[02:54] * Comet sets the navcomp to work alone.
[02:54] <Comet> Should we take weapons? Who knows what happened...
[02:54] * Cirrus pulls out his pistol and whirls it around fancy like.
[02:54] <Cirrus> I'm gonna, yeah.
[02:54] <Comet> I... haven't got my own. Is there an armory on board?
[02:55] <Cirrus> yeah. I think it exploded.
[02:55] <Comet> Ah-heh-heh.
[02:55] * Cirrus tosses you his pistol.
[02:55] <Comet> Oh well. Let's go.
[02:55] <Comet> Nah, you keep it. I'll be okay.
[02:55] <Cirrus> Hey, I'm good
[02:55] <Comet> If anyone needs it, better the guy who's used to it.
[02:55] * Cirrus pulls out his rifle
[02:55] <Comet> ...oh.
[02:55] <Comet> Well, okay.
[02:55] * Comet takes the pistol.
[02:56] <Comet> C'mon.
[02:56] * Comet heads toward the lift.
[02:56] <Cirrus> do those work?
[02:56] * Cirrus follows.
[02:56] <Comet> ...I don't know.
[02:56] <Comet> How'd we get up here, again? <:)
[02:57] <Comet> Had my nose in the maps so much I forget everything else...
[02:57] <Cirrus> I got here through lots of big holes in the floors.
[02:57] <Comet> Ah. Well. After you?
[02:57] <Cirrus> sure :)
[02:57] <Comet> I'll cover you.
[02:57] * Cirrus presses buttons
[02:57] <Cirrus> *conspiratorily* better take the safety off. ^^;
[02:57] * Sunspot works on routing the power to the bay around the damaged areas, but doesn't have much luck.
[02:57] * Comet does so.
[02:58] <Comet> Do you have thermograph? She said there were no lights in the bay.
[02:58] * Cirrus nods
[02:59] <Cirrus> I used to do recon. I got all sortsa nifty filters :)
[02:59] <Comet> Cool.
[02:59] * Cirrus watches the lift doors open, slowly and torturously. The lights are flickering inside.
[03:00] <Cirrus> Looks like fun...
[03:00] <Comet> Yeah...
[03:00] * Comet looks around...
[03:00] * Cirrus steps in with one toe, and pushes at the ground. It doesnt move, so I go in...
[03:01] * Comet backs in, so that nothing can sneak up on them.
[03:02] * The doors slam shut, way faster than usual.* *BANG!*
[03:02] * Comet flinches.
[03:02] * Cirrus jumps.
[03:02] <Cirrus> Umm... launch bay? please?
[03:02] <Comet> Well.
[03:03] * The lift buzzes rather than beeps, and starts moving. Thankfully, it feels normal...*
[03:04] * Comet looks at the floor cautiously.
[03:05] <Comet> Well, seems okay...
[03:06] * The lift DROPS THREE DECKS then lurches to a stop and resumes normal operation...*
[03:06] * Cirrus screams and curls up into a ball in mid air.
[03:07] * Comet freezes, mouth hanging open like a zombie.
[03:09] <Comet> ...are we....there....yet....?
[03:09] * Cirrus lets himself uncurl and sets back on the ground, then flinches when the lift stops again. This time though, it's at its actual destination.
[03:10] * Comet cautiously goes to open the door.
[03:10] <Comet> Hope we don't get sucked out.
[03:10] <Comet> ...ready?
[03:10] * Cirrus nods.
[03:11] * Comet opens it, and leaps out pointing his gun around everywhere expecting a fight.
[03:11] * Comet is really high-strung.
[03:11] * Cirrus cowers in the back with his eyes squeezed shut.
[03:11] <Comet> Seems safe.
[03:11] <Comet> ...hey, c'mon, you!
[03:12] <Cirrus> *peeks out* you sure?
[03:12] <Comet> *I*'m the civilian. /:)
[03:12] <Comet> You've got a bigger gun! :P
[03:12] * Cirrus steps out cautiously.
[03:12] <Comet> Which way is the bay?
[03:13] <Cirrus> around that corner.
[03:13] <Comet> Ok.
[03:13] * Cirrus starts that way.
[03:13] * Comet does, too.
[03:14] <Comet> Switching visual modes...
[03:16] * Cirrus presses the door open button and is greeted by great swathes of darkness.
[03:17] <Comet> Hrm...
[03:17] <Comet> I can see the circuits that work in the walls...
[03:17] * Comet points. Electrical currents giving off heat and all.
[03:17] <Comet> But... what attacked him?
[03:18] <Cirrus> I dunno... it looks weird in here though...
[03:20] <Comet> What filter are you using?
[03:20] <Cirrus> Enhanced thermal.
[03:21] <Comet> Hrm... I only seem to have ba - LOOK OUT!
[03:21] * Comet shoots right over Cirrus' head.
[03:21] * Cirrus ducks and rolls!
[03:21] <Comet> I think I got it.
[03:21] * Comet walks up to the thing.
[03:23] <Comet> I've never seen anything like it. You?
[03:24] <Cirrus> I... dunno...
[03:25] * Cirrus stumbles around and finds some equipment still in the bay.
[03:25] <Cirrus> I think this has a light on it...
[03:25] * Comet plays musical filter.
[03:27] <Comet> [comm] Sunspot, we seem to have neutralized the... guest, I guess. Solder seems stable, but neither of us are medics, so... how goes the light situation?
[03:28] <Cirrus> yeah!
[03:28] <Sunspot> [comm] I think I've almost got things rerouted there, but the light panels themselves might be broken.
[03:28] <Comet> Cool, bring it over...
[03:28] <Comet> [comm] Acknowledged, Sunspot. We have an alternate solu - oh, Primus...
[03:28] * Cirrus flips a big switch, and an industrial-size mining lamp powers on, thankfully pointed slightly away from us, so as not to blind us.
[03:28] <Comet> Cirrus...
[03:29] * Comet points at part of a decidedly familiar blue insignia on the invader.
[03:29] <Cirrus> what is i- by the Matrix, no...
[03:29] <Comet> I've... not been onboard long enough... do you recognize the body...bodies...? :(
[03:30] <Sunspot> [comm] Hey, um, guys? What's going on down there?
[03:30] * Cirrus shakes his head, looking at the tragic figure laying on the floor.
[03:30] <Comet> wait... ack. One of them... came off the refugee...ship.....
[03:30] <Cirrus> Must have been...
[03:30] <Comet> ...and yours?
[03:31] * Invader jolts back to life.
[03:32] <Cirrus> Ahh!
[03:32] * Comet drops his gun and leaps back a few feet.
[03:32] * Cirrus jumps back!
[03:32] * Invader lurches forward.
[03:33] <Cirrus> [comm] Sunny! Help!
[03:33] <Invader> K-kiii....
[03:33] <Cirrus> No... nonono...
[03:33] <Invader> ....ill you.....
[03:33] <Invader> ...all....
[03:33] <Sunspot> [comm] Cirrus!?
[03:33] * Cirrus backs away and raises his gun, not even realizing it really.
[03:33] <Invader> ....kill me....
[03:33] * Invader collapses again.
[03:33] <Cirrus> [comm] it's gonna get us it's gonna get us it's gonna get us.
[03:34] <Comet> ...it's dead.
[03:34] <Comet> Its circuits are losing heat fast... it's out of power.
[03:34] <Cirrus> *trembles* you sure?
[03:34] <Comet> ...as sure as I can be...
[03:34] * Sunspot closes out the connection she was using to route the engineering systems and, hoping the system's still stable enough to leave, she runs out the door.
[03:34] * Comet looks at Cirrus's gun.
[03:35] <Solder> Wait...
[03:35] <Solder> ....pull off its head...
[03:35] <Solder> ....can't hurt you....then....
[03:35] <Cirrus> what??
[03:35] * Solder also collapses again.
[03:35] <Comet> Duh!
[03:35] <Comet> If we disconnect the head, it can live, but it's harmless. What's it gonna do if it's just a head?
[03:36] <Cirrus> But... but...
[03:36] * Sunspot tries to remember how she got back to engineering around all the caved-in hallways and broken lifts.
[03:36] <Comet> But...?
[03:37] <Cirrus> I dont wanna touch it... it's gonna wake up and kill me...
[03:38] <Comet> No... it won't. Don't worry, you'll be okay...
[03:38] * Comet reaches over, hesitates...
[03:38] * Comet puts his foot on the invader's shoulder...
[03:38] * Comet tears the head off.
[03:39] * Cirrus turns away and doubles over.
[03:39] * Comet tosses it across the room.
[03:39] <Comet> Hey...
[03:39] * Comet turns back and puts his arm across Cirrus's shoulder.
[03:40] <Comet> It's over, buddy. It's over.
[03:40] <Sunspot> [comm] Cirrus? Are you guys okay? It's not as easy to get the the bay as it used to be...
[03:40] * Cirrus cries softly.
[03:42] <Comet> [comm] He's in shock, Sunspot. I think he just needs to rest.
[03:43] * Cirrus stands shakily.
[03:43] <Sunspot> [comm] Is Solder okay, too? What's happening?
[03:43] <Cirrus> we should... look for him.
[03:43] <Comet> [comm] He's... unconscious. He told us how to stop it, then went out again. It was... it was... it was one of ours, Sunspot. Sort of...
[03:45] <Sunspot> [comm] I think I've almost found a way over there. Hold on...
[03:46] * Sunspot climbs over a pile of rubble bloacking most of a hallway and finds the rest of the way to the bay door clear.
[03:47] * Comet looks over Solder.
[03:47] <Comet> You know anything about medicine?
[03:47] <Comet> Cirrus?
[03:49] * Sunspot enters the launch bay.
[03:49] <Comet> Sunspot!
[03:49] * Comet waves.
[03:49] * Sunspot hurries over to the guys.
[03:50] <Comet> I think Cirrus is still in shock...
[03:50] * Cirrus looks up.
[03:50] <Cirrus> Sunny?
[03:50] <Sunspot> Cirrus? C'mon, you're okay now...
[03:51] <Cirrus> I... think we killed it...
[03:51] <Comet> But Solder said...
[03:51] <Comet> ...it would...live....
[03:51] <Sunspot> What happened down here?
[03:51] * Comet goes to pick up the invader's pieces.
[03:52] * Comet shows Susnpot.
[03:52] <Comet> See... it looks like two of ours.. melted together... kind of...yeah.
[03:52] * Comet doesn't quite want to believe it.
[03:53] <Comet> They should have died... but it looks like they merged instead. The pain drove them insane.
[03:53] <Cirrus> I dont think I knew him... what was his name? do you know? we should remember him. we should...
[03:54] * Sunspot puts an arm around Cirrus' shoulder to try to settle him down.
[03:54] <Cirrus> It's not fair Sunny. It's not fair.
[03:54] <Comet> Solder said it would live if we tore its head off...
[03:54] <Comet> He's a doctor...
[03:54] <Comet> ...he should know...
[03:55] <Cirrus> Is Solder ok? *looks around* where is he? I didnt see him. I just heard him! Solder? Where are you??
[03:55] * Solder sits up.
[03:56] <Solder> 'bout friggin' time... rassin'frassin' stasis lock lasted for-EVER...
[03:56] <Cirrus> He's alive!
[03:56] <Comet> Yeah...
[03:56] <Comet> ...yeah...
[03:56] <Sunspot> You okay, Solder?
[03:57] * Comet slips into stasis lock himself.
[03:57] <Solder> I think so...
[03:57] * Solder watches Comet fall.
[03:57] * Solder scans.
[03:57] <Cirrus> Comet??
[03:58] <Solder> He's okay.
[03:58] * Cirrus pulls loose and runs over to Comet.
[03:58] <Cirrus-> What happened? :(
[03:58] <Solder> He just... well, in human terms, he fainted.
[03:58] <Solder> Power overload. He's in stasis.
[03:58] <Solder> So, uh... the thing? Is it down?
[04:00] * Cirrus helps Comet to his feet, even though Comet's not actually able to stand, or even try to stand right now.
[04:00] <Solder> Cirrus, let the kid rest. He'll be fine in a couple of cycles.
[04:00] <Cirrus> Shouldnt we get him to medbay or something?
[04:01] <Solder> Yeah... yeah, I guess that'd be good...
[04:01] <Sunspot> I think the power's on in the medbay...
[04:01] * Solder stands up.
[04:01] <Solder> Isn't Restore aboard?
[04:03] <Sunspot> I'm not sure... I lost track of who else came up here, I got too caught up in the systems...
[04:03] <Cirrus> I just got called up. I dunno...
[04:03] <Solder> Oh.
[04:03] <Solder> Well...
[04:04] <Solder> I can take the kid to medical. Thanks for coming, the three of you, though. Should someone file a report?
[04:07] <Cirrus> Or an obituary... :(
[04:08] <Solder> ...?
[04:08] <Solder> Oh.
[04:08] <Solder> Right. Sorry.
[04:08] <Sunspot> We'll just tell Waitstate about it when we contact him next.
[04:08] * Solder shrugs.
[04:08] <Solder> Works f'r me. Now, the kid could use a medbed.
[04:09] * Solder picks up Comet.
[04:09] * Cirrus holds the limp bot's hand and walks along side.
[04:09] * Solder looks at Sunspot.
[04:10] <Sunspot> Hmm?
[04:10] <Solder> You comin'? Or are you okay staying in here alone?
[04:10] <Sunspot> I should get back to engineering. Hopefully leaving all those open reroute messages hasn't crashed the whole system...
[04:11] <Solder> Ah-heh. Well, okeydoke.
[04:11] * Solder heads out of the bay.
[04:11] * Sunspot looks around the wrecked bay, sighs, and heads back to engineering.
[04:12] <Solder> Hey, at least we didn't blow a hole in the hull. /:)
