Session Start: Sun Apr 13 00:00:00 2003 CST
[00:05] [narration] Most of the minor injuries have been repaired. Adam and his dad have pulled into camp. Lifeblood and Outreach continue repairs on Waitstate.
[00:11] <Gravix> Oh my, again!
[00:11] * Adam and his dad, David, walk out into the LONAC camp. David is pretty in awe of the place, but is dealing with it
[00:12] <Admiral Lilwall> Gravix, take Slipstream, Gearlock, Talis and Lightning and do a fly around of the Freedom. I want to know if it's safe enough for us to get back on board.
[00:12] * Avalanche is hanging around near the med tents resting.
[00:12] <Gravix> Consider it done!
[00:12] * Slipstream is parked somewhere on the outskirts of the camp, snoozing in her alt mode.
[00:12] <Admiral Lilwall> If it is, get to the launch bay.
[00:13] <Admiral Lilwall> I'd say theres at least another 4 or 5 shuttle on board.
[00:13] <Admiral Lilwall> Bring them down here.
[00:13] * Restore heads over towards Crosswire and the humans.
[00:14] * Sunspot is hanging out near Avy trying not to get in the way of all the important medical stuff.
[00:14] * LeRoy is smoking, sitting atop one of the large White Star mech-trucks, his PM helmet resting next to him.
[00:14] * David flinches slightly, but regains his composure quickly, as Restore approaches.
[00:14] * Outreach is double checking any minor injuries.
[00:14] <Gravix> [comm] Slipstream, Gearlock, Talis, Lightning, we're gonna do a fly-around of the Freedom.
[00:14] <Restore> Are you this boy's father?
[00:14] * Thrashmane has his big yellow-ass arm around Sunspot, all nicey-nicey.
[00:15] * Apocrypha is trying to stay away from corpses.
[00:15] <Lightning> [comm] Acknowledged. *shifts to jet mode and takes to the air*
[00:15] <David> Yes... um, ma'am? You'll have to forgive me. I'm new to giant intelligent robots.
[00:15] * David offers his hand
[00:15] <Slipstream> *wakes up at the comm and grumbles to herself* Man, I'll never get enough sleep at this rate... *sigh* [comm] Right, I'm on my way...
[00:16] <Restore> Quite understandable. *shakes hands with David*
[00:16] <David> David Marshal, director of engineering for the city.
[00:16] <Restore> Restore, head doctor for LONAC.
[00:17] * Splitwit scratches himself.
[00:17] <Splitwit> So... Avi. You drink a lot, yes-no?
[00:17] <David> Doctor?
[00:17] <Restore> Does this surprise you?
[00:18] <Splitwit> <Avi> [Voice, he's still plugged into Split] You know, if I had just survived a re-entry, I wouldn't be worrying about alchohol.
[00:18] <David> Somewhat. Though I suppose it would be an equivalent title... fascinating.
[00:18] <Restore> There'll be time to explain later, I'm sure. For now though, my commanding officer's life is at stake and only your son can save him.
[00:18] <Splitwit> Nnnno no no. I'm just asking, mon ami. Do you drink?
[00:19] <Splitwit> <Avi> [Voice] I try not to make a habbit of it.
[00:19] <David> Yes, about that. What's going on here? My son is far too young to get involved with something like this.
[00:19] * Lightning waits in orbit for the others.
[00:19] <David> Your associate tried to explain, but I didn't really understand.
[00:19] * Gravix flies towards Lightning in a shuttle.
[00:19] * LeRoy walks towards David and Restore, lighting another cigarette.
[00:20] * Slipstream flies up towards Lightning and the others.
[00:20] * Talis flies into orbit and waits with whoever's already up there.
[00:20] <Restore> We had to abandon our ship and make planet fall, unfortunatly, many of us were badly injured. Including our commander.
[00:21] * Splitwit rubs his head, "Well, now that you do mention it, I do have a bit of a headache."
[00:21] * David nods, listening, then notices LeRoy approaching.
[00:21] <Restore> He was found by your son, and it seems he made a connection to him through a terminal.
[00:21] * LeRoy smiles and nods to Restore, his helmet under his arm. "And with any luck, Miss Restore, you'll all be up and running in no time flat.
[00:21] <David> Mr. Stalhs? You're involved here?
[00:21] * Lightning follows Gravix and the others towards the Freedom.
[00:22] <Gravix> This shouldn't take too long.
[00:22] <LeRoy> Ahhh, mister...Marshall, isnt it?
[00:22] <LeRoy> Engineer, right? I believe White Star has done much work for you in the past.
[00:23] <David> Yes sir. I must say I'm suprised to see one of our top businessmen involved in this.
[00:23] <Restore> Well fortunatly most of the minor injuries have been healed. There's still a few serious cases to be worked on yet. When Adam made that connection with Waitstate, our commander, he unknowingly created a mental link of sorts with him.
[00:23] <LeRoy> Adam? Your son isn't he? I met him at one of those boring city balls, didn't I?
[00:23] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Gravix, let me know your evaluation of the Freedom ASAP so we can prepare things here.
[00:23] <David> A mental link? *looks at his son*
[00:24] * Adam shifts about nervously.
[00:24] <Adam> Yes Mr. Stalhs, I think you did sir.
[00:24] * Slipstream flies around the Freedom, scanning it as she skims over its surface
[00:24] <Gravix> There certainly is some damage.
[00:24] * Gravix exits his shuttle.
[00:25] <Gravix> I'm going inside.
[00:25] <Restore> Yes, it won't cause any harm to Adam, I assure you. In fact, I doubt Adam would ever have known, ever, unless told.
[00:25] <LeRoy> He's a fine, strong boy. He'll do great with these people, David.
[00:25] <Gravix> I'm detecting remnants of a strong radiation field.
[00:26] <David> I see. My son is always fiddling with electronics.... And what exactly is the consequence of this link?
[00:26] <Lightning> No doubt caused by the explosion of the broken nacelle.
[00:26] * Splitwit walks around the campsite, searching oh searching for somthing to drink.
[00:26] <Lightning> The flight deck is likly still depressurized, use caution on entry.
[00:26] * LeRoy pats Adam on the shoulder "You alright, boy? You look hail and hearty!" and guffaws, slapping the kid on the shoulder.
[00:27] * Adam stumbles slightly.
[00:27] <Gravix> will do.
[00:27] <Adam> *sheepish* yes sir.
[00:27] * Talis circles the ship.
[00:27] * David steps off to the side.
[00:27] <Restore> The only way to save Waitstate now is to binary bond him with a human partner, LeRoy here has undergone the same process with another member of my crew.
[00:27] * Slipstream falls in just off Talis' wing. [comm] Getting anything?
[00:28] <David> Really now? LeRoy?
[00:28] * Gravix flies the shuttle towards the docking bay.
[00:28] <Sunspot> Hey, Thrashy? Do you think we're gonna be able to make it back to the ship okay?
[00:28] <Talis> I see lots of holes. Bulkheads blown out. Circling around...
[00:28] <Lightning> My scanners indicate the command area is inaccessible, and most of the deck four has been completely destroyed.
[00:28] * Thrashmane jumps in surprise and goes back to paying attention to reality.
[00:29] <Thrashmane> Oh, yeah. Of course.
[00:29] * LeRoy looks seriously at David "I can assure you, David, the procedure is harmless....*sigh* these are good people, David. Their commander doesn't deserve to die. And if a young brave boy like Adam can save him, then I'm behind him 100 percent. heh, you know better than most that I don't gamble on uncertainties."
[00:29] <Gravix> As long as Neutral Ground II is okay the crew will manage.
[00:30] <Lightning> There is no bar, let alone plaza and surrounding quarters left. I detect only rubble.
[00:30] <David> Well, that's certainly a strong arguement in their favor.
[00:30] <Gravix> It's gonna be a long recovery.
[00:30] <Lightning> Judging by scans, the explosion that caused the damage originated in the bar.
[00:30] <David> So is this some sort of transplant?
[00:30] <Gravix> It's those "Cab Ride Home" things.
[00:31] <Sunspot> I mean, how bad did it get blown up? We aren't gonna be stranded, are we?
[00:31] <Gravix> I knew they were dangerous, Artifice wouldn't even touch them.
[00:31] * LeRoy hands David his PM helmet "More of an augmentation. its transformable armor. pretty high tech for us."
[00:32] <Thrashmane> everything'll be okay, Sunny. Don't you worry your little head one bit.
[00:32] <Restore> Not really. The problem is when Adam created the link, it made him the only compatible being to undergo this proceedure with Waitstate.
[00:32] <David> I guess I'm still a little lost. How is my son going to be connected to your commander exactly?
[00:32] * Thrashmane pats Sunny on the shoulder.
[00:33] <Sunspot> I guess there are worse places we could be stranded...
[00:34] * Gravix enters the docking bay, lands the shuttle, then exits the docking bay on foot.
[00:34] <Restore> Perhaps I should give you a demonstration. LeRoy can hook up with Outreach and show you, then I'll display the data you need to know on a terminal for you.
[00:34] <Gravix> [comm] Admiral, it's a bit cramped, a bit smelly, but I believe we can begin reboarding.
[00:35] * Splitwit keeps searching all over the place. He searches around Thrash and Sunspot, then stands up.
[00:35] <Restore> Follow me. *heads back towards Outreach*
[00:35] <Sunspot> Like, we could be stranded on a planet all covered with lava and full of giant lava fish that would eat us.
[00:35] <Splitwit> Do you two have any energon?
[00:35] <Gravix> [comm] Preferably not all at once
[00:35] * Splitwit stares off and blinks.
[00:35] <Splitwit> Oh yeah!
[00:35] <Sunspot> Hmm? I...I think the med stuff's using it all.
[00:35] * Adam and David go with Restore.
[00:35] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Excellent. Get as many shuttles back down here as you can.
[00:35] * Splitwit turns around and points at the engine stuck in his back.
[00:35] <Splitwit> Look! It's my buddy Avi!
[00:36] <Avalanche> What?
[00:37] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] Sunspot, find Anchor and gather any tools you have. I'm organising transport for you back to the Freedom. I want some sort of power brought online through the ship, primarily gravity, emergency force fields and lighting.
[00:37] * Lightning flies into the shuttle bay and shifts to robot mode.
[00:38] <Sunspot> [comm] Okay, I'll get on it.
[00:38] <Gravix> [comm] Slipstream, Gearlock, Talis, Lightning, I want each of you to take any shuttle still capable of flight down to the surface.
[00:38] <Sunspot> Looks like I get to go do important stuff, Thrashy.
[00:38] <Gravix> [comm] We're gonna start moving our troops back on board
[00:38] <Thrashmane> 'Kay.
[00:38] * Sunspot stands up.
[00:38] <Sunspot> Hmm. Anybody seen Anchor?
[00:38] * Solder looks around the medical area.
[00:39] * Comet is still analyzing the data.
[00:39] * Splitwit shrugs.
[00:39] * Lightning heads over to a shuttle and climbs inside, powering it up for launch.
[00:39] <Splitwit> Who cares about the stupid lil' monkey? I got a man in my back!
[00:39] * Splitwit points again "Lookie lookie look!"
[00:40] * Sunspot goes to look for Anchor.
[00:40] <Splitwit> ... Aw, burned.
[00:40] <Solder> Man, will this EVER end?
[00:40] * Gravix exits the docking bay and flies back to the planet's surface
[00:40] <Splitwit> * Avi chuckles, but comes out like an enginey coughy wheeze thing.
[00:41] <Avalanche> Yep, that sure is a guy.
[00:41] * Solder attaches somebody's head upside-down in his exhaustion.
[00:41] * Outreach is checking on Earshot, who's still pretty banged up.
[00:41] * LeRoy follows Restore.
[00:41] * Splitwit is now known as Anchor
[00:41] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Restore, have Lifeblood take command of medical issues down here, I want you and Solder to prepare to return to the Freedom and search for survivors.
[00:41] <Restore> [comm] Acknowledged.
[00:41] * Anchor hangs out in a tree high above everyone else, inspecting his ship.
[00:42] <Restore> Looks like I have to palm you off to another doc, I'll have him come over. LeRoy, continue with the demonstration please?
[00:43] * Lightning pilots the shuttle towards the planet.
[00:43] * Restore heads over towards Lifeblood.
[00:44] * Sunspot notices Anchor in a tree and walks up to him. Well, under him.
[00:44] <Comet> ...
[00:44] * Comet double-takes at the display.
[00:45] * LeRoy motions David and Adam towards Outreach "This way, I'll introduce you to _MY_ binary partner."
[00:45] * David follows, fairly fascinated
[00:45] * Anchor glares down at Sunspot while he swings around a branch upside down "Ook. What up, yo?"
[00:45] <Sunspot> Hello, Anchor!
[00:46] <Sunspot> We need to go back to the ship to get things working.
[00:46] <Anchor> Okay.
[00:46] * Anchor drops down
[00:46] <Anchor> And how do you propose we do that?
[00:46] <Sunspot> Hmm... There's that Crosswire person, too, maybe she can help with some of this...
[00:46] <Sunspot> Lilwall's gonna get us a shuttle!
[00:47] <Comet> . . .
[00:47] <Comet> My *stars*...
[00:47] * Anchor jerks his thumb over his shoulder at the Apartment "Well, we've got almost all my collection onboard over there"
[00:47] <Restore> Lifeblood, Solder and I are being sent back to the ship to search for survivors, I need you to take charge down here.
[00:47] <Solder> !
[00:47] * Solder fixes the upside-down head.
[00:48] * Outreach turns to LeRoy, wincing "Not by choice. Why someone would willingly put carcinigens in their bodies, I will never know!"
[00:48] * Sunspot goes to look for Crosswire.
[00:48] * Anchor shrugs his monkey-shoulders and follows after Sunny.
[00:49] <Restore> Adam is with the human whos compatible with Waitstate, we still need to convince his father to allow us to perform the PM process on him.
[00:49] * Solder looks up at Restore upon hearing his name.
[00:49] <Comet> This can't be right... I mean, it can, but it just... I better do it again...
[00:49] * Crosswire sits around being useless.
[00:50] * David chuckles.
[00:50] <David> I keep telling him those things will kill him.
[00:51] * Sunspot sees Crosswire and walks over to her.
[00:51] * Solder stands up. "Search for survivors, huh?"
[00:51] <Lifeblood> Acknowledged.
[00:51] * Lifeblood takes over down here.
[00:51] * Restore moves over to Solder.
[00:52] <Restore> Yep. Hopefully they'll be some left alive to save, already lost too many. Get your things together.
[00:52] <Restore> There'll be a shuttle for us soon.
[00:52] <Sunspot> Hey, Crosswire! Lilwall's sending a team up to start repairing the ship's systems. Wanna come?
[00:53] <Crosswire> Well, yeah. But... well, I can't do much, I don't have the talent...
[00:53] <Solder> Yessir! Er, ma'am!
[00:53] * Solder does as told.
[00:54] * LeRoy sighs, tossing his cigarette aside and putting on his helmet on.
[00:54] <LeRoy> Now, a demonstration?
[00:54] <Comet> ADMIRAL!
[00:54] <Sunspot> We'll help you figure out what goes where. We could really use and extra pair of hands, though.
[00:54] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Attention everyone, any bot with any level of maintainence or engineering ability, please report to Sunspot by the shuttles.
[00:54] <David> You have my undivided attention.
[00:54] <Comet> Admiraaaaaaaaaal!
[00:54] * Comet runs up to Lilwall.
[00:54] * Dark Star reports to Sunspot.
[00:55] <Crosswire> Well, I guess that means me anyway. *gets up and goes with Sunspot*
[00:55] <Sunspot> Thanks!
[00:55] <Admiral Lilwall> Comet, what is it?
[00:55] * Sunspot heads toward where she saw the shuttle land.
[00:55] * Gearlock visits Spec out in orbit. :)
[00:55] * Splitwit perks up and goes 'Ooooh' at Lil's announcement and starts to go off there until Avi says, "NO, Split."
[00:55] <Comet> It's Cybertron, sir... well, bigger than that, actually...it's... it's....
[00:55] <Comet> You might want to sit down, sir.
[00:55] * LeRoy leaps into the air, transforming as he moves and connects onto Outreach's chest.
[00:56] <Admiral Lilwall> What have you found, Comet?
[00:56] <Adam> Wow!
[00:56] * David watches, gaping at the uncharacteristic acrobatics and mechanical synchronization
[00:57] <Comet> More like what I haven't found! Well, you see, when we were transported, it must've... ...like, sort of shifted us into a different... ...hrm, yeah, a kind of parallel universe where....
[00:57] <Comet> ....anyway, Admiral....
[00:57] <Comet> ....there are no signs of Transformers in all charted history.
[00:57] <Comet> At all. Anywhere.
[00:57] <Comet> Everywhere I KNOW we've been, we weren't.
[00:57] <Comet> There is no Cybertron.
[00:57] <Outreach> See, human? It's simple, and painless!
[00:57] <Admiral Lilwall> You're SURE?
[00:58] * Comet hands the Admiral the minicomp.
[00:58] <Comet> Double-checked, sir.
[00:58] <David> That's... amazing. You've become part of the machine!
[00:58] <Adam> Yeah, it's awesome! I wanna do it, Dad!
[00:58] <Admiral Lilwall> Dandy. Well that explains why these particular humans haven't a clue what we are.
[00:58] <Solder> Okay, that's it! Ready, Restore!
[00:59] <Comet> Do you think it could cause problems with the bondage?
[00:59] <Restore> Right, let's go. *heads for another shuttle*
[00:59] <Comet> I mean... I don't know. They could be different humans.
[01:00] <David> I... don't know.
[01:00] <Admiral Lilwall> I hope not, though I imagine should the humans here have been different in anyway, the medics would have noticed in scans.
[01:00] <Comet> I hope so, sir...
[01:00] * Solder follows Restore.
[01:01] * Outreach nods "LeRoy is, infact, part of me. It's a sort of symbiotic relationship"
[01:01] <Comet> Well, at any rate.
[01:02] <David> So Adam would become part of a robot
[01:02] <Adam> Yeah! Doesn't it sound awesome dad? :D
[01:02] <Comet> We seem to be on a planet orbiting a star close to those which make up the Terran constellation Pegasus.
[01:02] <Admiral Lilwall> Take that data and get to a shuttle with Restore and Solder. I want you to run that data through the science console on the bridge. I'm not questioning your findings, but we have be very certain of this.
[01:02] <David> It sounds frightening...
[01:02] <Comet> Aye-aye!
[01:02] * Comet runs off.
[01:02] <Outreach> Essentially, yes. But he will be outwardly unchaged more or less, physically.
[01:02] <Comet> ...wait.
[01:02] <Comet> Sir, how shall I access the bridge?
[01:03] <Comet> Isn't a sort of security clearance required?
[01:03] <David> I just don't know about this.
[01:03] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Roadkill, Lightning, Cirrus, bridge duty, go. Grant Comet access to the science terminal.
[01:04] <Roadkill> [comm] Gotchya.
[01:04] <Cirrus> ooo, we're goin' to the ship?
[01:04] <Comet> Yessir!
[01:04] * Cirrus runs to find Comet
[01:04] * Roadkill heads over to his shuttle
[01:04] * Comet runs after the medics... again.
[01:05] * Lightning waits outside a shuttle for the meds and bridge bots.
[01:05] <Admiral-Lilwall> ooc: yeah, but i was after a comm bot. besides, slip is meant to be bringing a shuttle down to the planet anyway.
[01:05] * Cirrus hunts down Comet.
[01:06] * Comet feels like he's being watched.
[01:06] <Cirrus> hey, why're we goin up? I wasn't sure we even could.
[01:06] <Comet> I guess we can. I was busy analyzing stuff. The Admiral wants me to use the shipboard computers.
[01:07] <Cirrus> Neat!
[01:08] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Thrashmane, take a group of bots out to the crash sites and tag our deceased crew and their escape pods so we can take them back to the ship once crew have been returned.
[01:08] <Cirrus> But... what if something happens to Avy while I'm gone? :(
[01:08] <Comet> Aw, you... Avy's a big guy, he'll be fine.
[01:08] <Comet> If not... um... Sunspot can protect him. Sure.
[01:08] <Cirrus> but he's hurt! He could d-*chokes on the word*
[01:08] * Crosswire climbs into the shuttle with the others going with Sunspot and waits.
[01:09] * LeRoy disengages himself, landing next to David, taking off his helmet. "Your reservations are well founded, David. But stopping Adam means that a living, thinking sentinent creature _dies_. Surely you don't want that"
[01:09] <Comet> ...hurt?
[01:09] * Anchor clambers on board as well.
[01:09] * Comet has been lost in a computer for hours.
[01:09] <Cirrus> Yes, hurt! He fell from space, remember??
[01:10] * Sunspot waits outside the shuttle for everybody to show up.
[01:10] <Comet> ...ack. Sorry. I've been preoccupied...
[01:10] <David> Well, no... but...
[01:10] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Lightning, make sure you pick up Bit from orbit as well. I'm sure he'll appreciate the ride home.
[01:10] <Lightning> [comm] Acknowledged.
[01:11] <LeRoy> The David Marshall _I_ know wouldnt hesitate. Don't Worry, David. I swear on my life that as long as Adam's here, I'll keep a close eye on him.
[01:11] <Comet> ...wait!
[01:11] <Comet> Cirrus, he'll be fine!
[01:11] <Comet> Remember Sarah?
[01:11] <Comet> She binary-bonded with Avy.
[01:11] <David> LeRoy... if it was me, I wouldnt hesistate. This is my SON though.
[01:12] <Cirrus> What? When? O_o
[01:12] <Comet> Um... yesterday.
[01:12] <Comet> When everyone else was being converted, too.
[01:12] * Restore gets into the shuttle and waits for whoever else is coming along.
[01:12] <Cirrus> And noone told me??
[01:12] * Solder boards the shuttle.
[01:12] * Cirrus runs off to find Avy, forgetting orders entirely.
[01:13] <Comet> Sorry! I was bus- hmph.
[01:13] * Comet runs off toward the shuttle. Again.
[01:13] <Cirrus> Avyyyyyy!
[01:13] * Gravix flies back up to the LSS Freedom.
[01:14] * Avalanche is still sitting by the med area trying to stay out of the way.
[01:14] * Comet boards.
[01:14] * Apocrypha is still freaking out.
[01:14] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] All duty staff who've not yet been assigned a task, please assist civilians with preparing for departure. Any and all equipment we brought down with us needs to be packed up.
[01:15] * Lightning launches the shuttle and pilots it towards the Freedom.
[01:16] * Roadkill takes the shuttle with him and Comet on it up to the Freedom, zoom!
[01:16] * Cirrus looks for Avy.
[01:17] * Roadkill lands the shuttle in the flight deck.
[01:18] * Lightning lands his shuttle also, and exits.
[01:18] * Comet gets out of the shuttle and looks around.
[01:18] <Restore> Look at this place...
[01:20] <Restore> *Activating flash light* Solder, we should start with the plaza, there was probably a number of civs there, they might not have gotten out.
[01:20] * Lightning also activates a torch*
[01:21] <Comet> Wasn't Cirrus supposed to come with us?
[01:21] <Lightning> The bridge level cannot be reached. We will have to make our way to the auxilery bridge. *starts walkin*
[01:21] <Solder> Aye.
[01:22] <Solder> ...hey, how banged up is this thing? Should we detour?
[01:22] <Lightning> If he is not here, he is not here. It is hardly likly the ship will be capable of flight anyway.
[01:22] [narration] Some areas of the ship have managed to stay powered or partially powered, thanks to independant power supplies. Therefore, there is dim illumination in places, and occasional spotty gravity.
[01:23] <Restore> Well, the lifts aren't likly to be running. We'll have to get there via service ducts.
[01:23] [narration] Several other independant subsystems also remain active, enabling limited computer access and other services
[01:24] <Solder> Sounds like fun.
[01:24] * Roadkill remains quiet and just trails behind Restore and Lightning.
[01:24] [narration] The engineering shuttle arrives and the engineers disembark.
[01:24] <Restore> We'll stop by whats left of medbay first and see if theres any meddrones still in one piece.
[01:25] * Restore breaks off from the others and heads a seperate way
[01:25] <LeRoy> *sigh* I know David. But your son is young, brave, smart, and responsible. he reminds me alot of you...and Mona.
[01:25] <Solder> Alrighty. Um, Knock-Off is down planetside, I think.
[01:25] <Comet> So....
[01:25] <David> I know... I see more of her in him every day. I miss her.
[01:26] <Comet> The bridge, huh?
[01:26] <Sunspot> I'm going to main engineering to see what can be salvaged there. I'd like the rest of you to see what is and isn't still working on the ship so we'll know what to focus on.
[01:26] <Lightning> The back up bridge, at least.
[01:26] <LeRoy> She was a great woman. And I think, if she were still here, she'd tell you Adam should be the one to make the decision.
[01:27] * LeRoy pats Davids shoulder solemnly.
[01:27] <Comet> Aha. I, uh, gather you'll not want me there, um, alone?
[01:27] <Crosswire> *activating a torch* This is gonna take awhile...
[01:27] * Comet glances at shadowey corners nervously.
[01:27] <Sunspot> We're just gonna get the essentials fixed up so everybody can come back up here. Lights, life support...
[01:28] * Sunspot notices she's floated up off the floor a little.
[01:28] <Sunspot> ...gravity...
[01:28] * David hangs his head...
[01:28] <Lightning> We've been assigned to bridge duty, you wouldn't be alone.
[01:28] <Comet> Reassuring.
[01:28] <LeRoy> But...If you need anymore prodding morally. I want you to take a look at the Commander's body...then try to look me or Outreach or anyone else you dont think it's the right thing to do...
[01:29] * David looks up.
[01:30] <Sunspot> Okay, everybody spread out and report back to me when you have an idea of how bad things are.
[01:30] <Crosswire> I could hazard a guess now...
[01:31] <Anchor> Hrmph.
[01:31] * Gearlock is still up above the atmosphere with Slip...
[01:31] <Sunspot> Yeah, it's definitely bad... I have a feeling we'll be up here a while...
[01:31] <Anchor> At least I'll find some useful equipment...
[01:31] * Anchor scampers off.
[01:31] * Sunspot starts floating off toward engineering.
[01:31] * LeRoy points David towards Waitstate's prone body.
[01:32] * Sunspot looks around to make sure nobody's looking, then transforms to hover car mode.
[01:33] <Sunspot> Waitstate can't really fault me with my altmode being so much better suited to this gravity...
[01:33] * Solder attempts to crawl through a service tunnel without losing large bits of altmode kibble.
[01:33] * David looks up at the battered robot, surrounded by numerous monitoring devices and other things he cant identify. Despite Waitstate's mechanical nature, he's clearly a living being. A dying one, even.
[01:33] * Restore walks through the tunnel easily, being so small an all.
[01:33] <David> Alright...
[01:34] <Anchor> *scamper scamper scamper*
[01:34] [narration] the tunnel collapses, and Solder falls into a big mess of stuff below.
[01:34] * Lightning arrives with the others outside the AuxBridge and forces the door open.
[01:34] <Solder> What in-?!
[01:34] * LeRoy grips David's shoulder tightly "Good man, David"
[01:34] * Solder lands on his head.
[01:35] [narration] The AuxBridge is very bland and dull in appearance, offering nothing of even remote interest to look at. Especially compared to the primary bridge.
[01:35] * Restore looks down to Solder.
[01:35] <Restore> are you alright?
[01:35] <Comet> That's Science, over there?
[01:35] * Comet motions.
[01:35] <Solder> Yeah, I think so. Where AM I, though?
[01:35] <Lightning> Yes.
[01:35] <Solder> Little tied up...
[01:36] <Solder> I don't want to just indescriminately cut these things. Engineering'll have my head.
[01:36] * Comet sits down and gets to work.
[01:36] <David> What do we need to do?
[01:36] <Adam> Yes!
[01:36] <Restore> Looks like a general engineering section, I don't think this section of the ship has EVER been used, let alone had someone in it.
[01:37] <Solder> Yeah, but this stuff must run somewhere. Mustn't it?
[01:37] <Restore> Given the damage to the ship already, I doubt it'll matter much if you cut yourself free.
[01:37] <Solder> Well... okay, if'n y'say so...
[01:38] <Restore> Besides, if it were part of a vital system, it wouldn't likly be in this section anyway,
[01:38] * LeRoy looks over to Outreach "Outreach! comm Miss Restore and see if she can do a binary bond for Adam here!"
[01:38] * Solder activates his laser scalpel and begins untying himself.
[01:38] * Outreach nods, activating his comm "[comm] Restore, come in, please."
[01:39] * Solder finishes and climbs back up into the tunnel. Awkwardly.
[01:40] <Cirrus> *bumps into Lil* *anxious* Sir! Have you seen Avy?
[01:40] * Solder finishes and climbs back up into the tunnel. Awkwardly.
[01:40] * Outreach nods, activating his comm "[comm] Lifeblood, can you perform a binary bond procedure?"
[01:40] <Admiral Lilwall> Yes. But I shouldn't be seeing YOU. I ordered you to the Freedom, now GO.
[01:40] <Cirrus> But- but- is he ok??
[01:40] <Lifeblood> [comm] Affirmative.
[01:41] <Admiral Lilwall> Avalanche will be fine. You on the other hand, should you not do as ordered...
[01:41] <Cirrus> *sighs* Yes sir.
[01:41] * Comet analyzes data some more.
[01:42] * Cirrus takes to the air and TFs to jet mode, heading out to the ship. And probably a little close to the ground, since he manages to blast Lil with the backwash.
[01:42] <Outreach> [comm] I need you to perform it on Adam, connecting to Waitstate, and I suggest the utmost haste.
[01:42] <Lightning> *from the tactical station* I have limited scanner function available, *to Roadkill* the Freedom is severely damaged.
[01:42] * Sunspot arrives in engineering and finds the whole area badly damaged.
[01:43] <Sunspot> Sheesh...
[01:43] <Lightning> Worse than any event we've had before,
[01:43] * Anchor floats into Engineering from an air duct, more or less nearby Sunny.
[01:43] <Sunspot> Okay, Freedom, you poor thing, let's see what I can get back in order here...
[01:43] * A couple of extras who came with Sunspot look around the mess and wonder if it's repairable at all.
[01:44] <Sunspot> Oh, hi, Anchor. Is it nearly as bad on the rest of the ship?
[01:44] * Anchor nods grimly.
[01:44] <Anchor> The holodecks are a complete writeoff.
[01:44] <Lifeblood> [comm] Acknowledged.
[01:44] * Crosswire shows up from the opposite end of engineering with two bots behind her.
[01:44] <Cirrus> [comm] Hey guys, I'm up here now... can you guide me in?
[01:44] <Sunspot> Yes, but what about the important stuff?
[01:44] * Lifeblood chugs into drive and clomps over to Waitstate and company.
[01:44] <Crosswire> Everything on this side is trashed.
[01:45] * Anchor shrugs again "Most of it seems to be repairable."
[01:45] * Adam and David are both pretty shocked at Lifeblood's appearance.
[01:45] <Crosswire> Looks like the distribution grid vaporised.
[01:46] <Anchor> I did notice the plasma conduits in Block 12 were intact.
[01:46] <Sunspot> That's something.
[01:46] <LeRoy> You're in good hands. I wish I could stay for the procedure, but I promised the Admiral I'd set up another few truck loads of supplies.
[01:46] * Adam hides behind his dad a little
[01:46] <Lifeblood> Greetings. I am called Lifeblood.
[01:47] <Anchor> Well, a few months ago, we had the leaks in that section so we put up some extra radiation sheilding.
[01:47] <Sunspot> I'm going to try to get the main controls here back online so everything else is under control once it's repaired. If the rest of you could get started on other parts of the ship it'd be really helpful.
[01:47] * Restore exits the tunnel at the nearest point for Medbay.
[01:48] * Solder follows.
[01:48] <Anchor> Right.
[01:48] <David> Um, hello Lifeblood. You're a... doctor too?
[01:49] * Restore spots a bot leaning against rubble outside of medbay, he is clearly damaged.
[01:49] <Cirrus> [comm] Guys? *makes it inside the ship, trying to figure out where to go*
[01:49] <Solder> Does he function?
[01:49] <Lifeblood> I am.
[01:49] * LeRoy bonds to Outreach and Outreach walks over to David and Adam "Do not worry, humans. Lifeblood is one of the best medical units in this quadrant. you're in good hands!
[01:49] <Lightning> [comm] Cirrus, we are in the aux bridge.
[01:50] <Admiral Lilwall> *Restore moves over to him and runs a scan.
[01:50] <David> It's good to meet you then *offers his hand, then thinks better of it*
[01:50] <Adam> You're not like the others...
[01:50] <Cirrus> [comm] Ok... I'll try and get down there
[01:50] <Restore> Yes, he's in stasis lock, his primary motor system is damaged.
[01:51] * Sunspot takes out her welding kit and gets to work on the main control console for the ship's essential systems.
[01:51] <Restore> You start on him, I'll get some tools and see if any drones made it.
[01:51] <Solder> I'll take care of him.
[01:51] <Lifeblood> This body is a temporary replacement. We should begin the procedure forthwith.
[01:51] <Solder> heh.
[01:51] <Solder> Yes'm.
[01:51] <Adam> Oh...
[01:51] * Solder gets to work.
[01:51] * Crosswire tries to fix whatever she can with her lowly talents.
[01:51] <Adam> *to David* That's weird.
[01:51] * Outreach transforms and guns it towards the city to get more trucks ready to bring to the site.
[01:51] <David> shh, that's rude.
[01:53] <Comet> Hrm...
[01:54] <Lightning> I can barely detect some lifesigns in the plaza area. Roadkill will our comm lines be capable of getting through the residual radiation?
[01:55] * Cirrus finds his way to the aux Bridge and enters through the stuck-open doors.
[01:55] <Roadkill> If you boost enough power to 'em, htey should be, at this range anyway.
[01:55] <Cirrus> Ok, I'm here!
[01:56] * Restore walks out of medbay with some extra tools and one fully functional meddrone.
[01:56] * Lightning moves over to the engineering console to see what sort of extra power he can round up.
[01:56] <Solder> Restore, his motor's shot. Do we have a spare?
[01:57] <Restore> Hm, drone, bring one of the damaged meddrones here.
[01:57] * Drone turns about and reenters medbay
[01:58] <Restore> We'll have to make do with drone parts for now.
[01:58] <Lifeblood> The equipment is ready. If the patient will take the appropriate position, we may begin.
[01:58] * Adam giggles. He's a teenager. He has a dirty mind.
[01:59] * Cirrus starts poking at the nav console
[01:59] <Solder> Hey, whatever works...
[01:59] <Solder> ...hey!
[01:59] <Solder> Lifeblood's old body is still lyin' around here somewhere.
[01:59] <Solder> Near the escape pod we took.
[01:59] * Lightning manages a small boost of power to the comm station.
[01:59] <Comet> Heh.
[01:59] <Lightning> That is all I dare to transfer.
[01:59] * Comet scans.
[02:00] <Cirrus> Looks like all drives are totally shot, unless the diagnostic systems are shot. I MIGHT be able to coax the manuvering thrusters to life though
[02:00] <Restore> We'll have to send that down to him.
[02:00] * Drone drags out the busted drone.
[02:00] <Roadkill> I'll see what I can do with it then... *moves over to the comm console*
[02:00] * Lifeblood indicates to Adam that he should lie on the table prepared, giving him the benefit of the doubt that perhaps he just didn't see it.
[02:00] <Solder> I guess. I kinda liked his new look.
[02:00] * Solder picks up the drone and begins tearing it apart.
[02:01] <Adam> Umm...
[02:01] * Adam climbs up nervously
[02:01] <Lightning> Let Admiral Lilwall know we have survivors, but not to send crew back yet.
[02:01] <Lightning> Cirrus, whats our orbital status?
[02:01] <Roadkill> Gotchya. *comms the message through to Lilwall*
[02:02] <Cirrus> A bit precarious. Luckily, we seem to be drifting AWAY from the planet.
[02:02] * Lifeblood disgorges a shower of blue sparks and begins working.
[02:02] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Repeat that last part, Freedom, you're signal is weak.
[02:02] * Solder inserts the "new" motor.
[02:03] <Roadkill> [comm] Don't send any crew back up yet...!
[02:03] * David watches. It's somewhat terrifying to watch. o_o
[02:03] <Solder> Well. As long as his circuits don't reject it... would you like the honors, Restore?
[02:03] <Lightning> Restore, Solder, we have detected an unknown number of survivors in the plaza. Their status is unknown.
[02:03] <Cirrus> Heyyy... I recognize this console!
[02:03] <Comet> Ha!
[02:03] <Comet> This is... heh.
[02:03] <Comet> ....oh.
[02:03] <Comet> Sorry.
[02:03] * Comet looks around.
[02:04] * Restore makes the last few touches and reactivates teh bot.
[02:04] <Cirrus> This whole room... it's the old bridge, isnt it? :D
[02:04] <Lifeblood> Circulatory systems responding to dampening.
[02:04] <Lightning> What does it matter?
[02:04] <Comet> May I transmit a message through to the Admiral?
[02:05] <Cirrus> I dunno. It's just funny. Dont you recognize it? I mean, they changed stuff up, but it's the old bridge for sure!
[02:05] <Lightning> If you need to.
[02:05] <Lifeblood> Neural waveform synchronization proceeding.
[02:05] <Comet> Thank you.
[02:05] <Lightning> I don't care, Cirrus.
[02:05] <Cirrus> You're no fun at ALL :p
[02:05] <Crosswire> hey... hey! Sunspot!
[02:06] <Cirrus> Do you want me to try and fix our orbit? I dunno if I can in our current state, but I can try.
[02:06] <Crosswire> We've got lights! *reconnects a few boards and circuits and the lights in engineering come to full*
[02:06] <Comet> [comm to Lilwall] Admiral, I'm still working, but there's still no real sign of Transformer life. There is, however, a planet dedicated expressly to the purpose of being an intergalactic trash heap. It is Junk, sir.
[02:06] <Sunspot> Ooooooo... Hey, that'll speed things up!
[02:07] <Crosswire> Too bad the rest of this wasn't so easy to fix...
[02:07] <Sunspot> Hopefully I can get the shipwide gravity up soon.
[02:07] <Comet> [comm to Lilwall] ...and it is rumored to be haunted. Take that as you will...
[02:07] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Haunted or not we may be able to get parts there, good work Comet. Can you tell how far away it is?
[02:08] <Comet> [comm to Lilwall] About fifty-five-hundred light years, sir. Heading X-104 Y-008 Z-334.
[02:09] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Acknowledged. Assist up there any other way you can, Comet. Lilwall out.
[02:10] <Comet> [Comm] Yes sir.
[02:10] <Comet> [comm] Comet out.
[02:11] <Solder> Seems to be taking fine! So... er.... who is it?
[02:13] * David watches as Lifeblood continues to work. The more disturbing parts of the process seem to have past...
[02:13] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] The less tech we leave for the humans here the better off we'll be.
[02:16] * Admiral Lilwall moves over to Waitstate and LB and co
[02:16] <Solder> Restore?
[02:16] * Restore waits for the bot to wake up.
[02:19] * bot stirs and his eyes flicker back to life.
[02:19] <Solder> Oh.
[02:19] <bot> urrr, what the slag happened?
[02:19] <Solder> You got hurt.
[02:20] <bot> yeah, i know that part... where did you guys come from? did everyone come back to the ship?
[02:20] <Solder> No. Not yet.
[02:21] <Solder> Who are you?
[02:21] <bot> i got left behind during the evac, got snared in an explosion somewhere and crawled back here hoping a doc was left behind too...
[02:22] <Solder> Yeah, okay. Listen, we're short on manpower. All of us, I mean. Can you do anything?
[02:22] <Talis> [comm] *complaining outloud* Remind me to get one of these shuttles fitted with a larger seat. Or at least one I can swap out. *squirms somewhat as he flies back down to the surface*
[02:24] <Iceburn> Iceburn. And I can freeze stuff, thats about it, sorry
[02:24] <Iceburn> guess that won't help much
[02:25] * Solder looks at Restore.
[02:25] <Restore> not really, but we could use your help getting survivors.
[02:26] <Iceburn> then you should go to the plaza, i just got of it when it exploded.
[02:27] <Restore> Thats where we were headed, come on. Drone, follow us. *drone does so*
[02:27] * Admiral Lilwall looks down at the human waiting.
[02:27] <Admiral Lilwall> You must be Adam's father?
[02:28] * David looks up... and up.
[02:28] * Solder heads for the plaza.
[02:28] <David> Yes, I am. David, David Marshall
[02:29] * Admiral-Lilwall kneels down so david doesn't break his neck.
[02:29] * David smiles a bit as Lil comes down more or less to his level.
[02:30] <Admiral Lilwall> I'm Admiral Lilwall, 2nd in command of LONAC
[02:30] <Admiral Lilwall> I see an agreement has been made to help save Waitstate's life?
[02:31] <David> Nice to meet you. "Admiral"?
[02:31] <David> yes, I guess you could call it that.
[02:31] <Admiral Lilwall> Ego inspired name. And thanks for allowing Adam to go along with this.
[02:32] <David-> I see.
[02:32] <Admiral Lilwall> I assume you've been made aware this is more or less a permanate type of arrangement?
[02:32] <David> You're welcome, I suppose.
[02:32] <David> It seemed apparent, yes.
[02:32] <David> I just couldn't watch someone die. Not again.
[02:33] <David> My friend, Leroy Stalhs. He convinced me it was safe.
[02:34] <Admiral Lilwall> I'm sorry for the loss you speak of, whatever it may be. I too have lost numerous human friends in the past.
[02:34] <David> My wife. It was years ago. Adam barely remembers her. A good thing, I guess.
[02:35] <Admiral Lilwall> Not always.
[02:35] <Admiral Lilwall> Anyway, again, my thanks for you help.
[02:35] * David nods, unable to think of anything appropriate to say.
[02:36] <Admiral Lilwall> I extend an invitation to you to join us also, not for this process I mean, but for when we leave this planet. If we can leave this planet, at least.
[02:36] <David> I... don't know. I guess I hadn't considered that. I suppose Adam would have to go with you, wouldnt he? And your commander wouldnt be willing to stay, I'm sure...
[02:37] <Admiral Lilwall> Unfortunatly, though this will save his life, it will be a fairly permanent deal.
[02:37] <David> so you said...
[02:38] <David> I suppose I'll go with him. My life here... well, it's not worth losing a son.
[02:38] <Admiral Lilwall> We have human sized accomodations on our vessel, should you chose to come along. I don't doubt you're unlikely to seperate from your son.
[02:39] * Solder enters the Plaza and begins scanning robots.
[02:40] <Admiral Lilwall> I can arrange transport for all your belongings once our ship has been repaired.
[02:40] * Restore heads in a different direction, scanning the rubble for other survivors.
[02:40] * David nods.
[02:41] * Iceburn wanders about checking bots he can see to see if they're alive.
[02:41] <David> I have many things I'll need to get in order before that happens. But I appreciate it.
[02:42] <Comet> [comm to Lilwall] Admiral, are you there?
[02:42] <Admiral Lilwall> Excuse me.
[02:42] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Go ahead Comet.
[02:42] * David nods and goes back to watching the operation.
[02:44] <Comet> [comm] Admiral, I took the liberty of researching galactic trash collection. I figured the Freedom would never make it to Junk in our lifetimes, but I figured, um... well, sir, ah... maybe one of ours could stow away on a trash collection ship, kinda-sorta-hijack it, and use it to, um, "borrow-with-no-possibility-for-return" the parts we would need with it?
[02:44] * Comet braces.
[02:44] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Negative.
[02:45] <Comet> [comm] Yes sir.
[02:46] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] We'll find a nicer way, but some other time.
[02:47] * Restore scans the rubble near her.
[02:47] <Restore> Found another one! *starts digging*
[02:48] * Iceburn comes over and helps.
[02:48] * Iceburn drags out Snake-Eyes from the rubble.
[02:49] <Solder> I'm finding lots of strewn-about pieces 'n stuff... varmint pirates sure did a real smash-up job...
[02:49] <Restore> not to mention whatever explosion took place here leveled everything.
[02:50] * Restore scans Snake-Eyes.
[02:50] <Solder> nnngh.
[02:51] * Snake-Eyes stirs slightly, tilting her head.
[02:51] <Snake-Eyes> *weakly* hi...
[02:52] <Solder> Eegh.
[02:52] <Restore> you're going to be ok, SnakeEyes, don't you worry about that.
[02:52] * Solder finds two bots melted together.
[02:52] <Solder> Jeez.
[02:52] <Solder> Well, time to go to work...
[02:54] [narration] Full power is brought to the aux bridge thanks to someone in engineering no doubt. Though it does little extra good seeing how most systems are too trashed to use anyway.
[02:54] * Iceburn wanders off to find others while Restore works on stabilizing S-E.
[02:55] * Admiral Lilwall waits for Adam's operation to be completed.
[02:55] * Lifeblood mutters to himself as he works. But never fear, it's normal muttering, not insane muttering.
[02:57] * Lifeblood wires the last circuit and begins applying the synthoflesh.
[02:59] <Lifeblood> Operation complete.
[02:59] * David hasn't been able to see much of what's happened, which is something of a mercy considering the invasive nature of the surgery.
[03:00] * Adam makes a small moaning sound as he wakes up.
[03:00] <Lifeblood> Self-diagnostics report?
[03:01] * Adam rubs his eyes.
[03:01] <Adam> Huh?
[03:01] <Lifeblood> Self-diagnostics rep - oh.
[03:01] * Lifeblood considers.
[03:01] <Admiral Lilwall> He means 'how do you feel'?
[03:01] <Lifeblood> How do you feel?
[03:02] <Adam> I'm ok... little sore. This table is hard. Did you do it already?
[03:02] <Lifeblood> Affirmative.
[03:02] <Adam> Cool, I can't even tell.
[03:03] * Adam climbs down.
[03:03] <Admiral Lilwall> Take a look,
[03:03] <Lifeblood> Hm. Worrisome.
[03:03] * David rushes over and hugs his kid.
[03:04] <Adam> Dad! quit it!
[03:04] <Lifeblood> Ahem.
[03:04] <David> I'm just glad you're ok... *lets go and steps back*
[03:04] <Lifeblood> Admiral, I do not feel Waitstate's repairs should be delayed any longer than absolutely necessary.
[03:04] <Adam> So now what?
[03:05] <Admiral Lilwall> Nor do I. Get to work.
[03:05] <Lifeblood> Adam. Put this on.
[03:05] * Lifeblood hands the boy his armor.
[03:06] * Solder sighs.
[03:06] <Solder> Lost'em.
[03:06] <Adam> Neat!
[03:06] * Adam gathers up the armor bits
[03:06] <Solder> I dunno who they were... mighta been refugees from my ship... but I lost'em.
[03:06] <Adam> Is there like a dressing room or something?
[03:07] <Lifeblood> No.
[03:07] <Iceburn> hey doc bot, i found another one here! he doesn't seem to be too bad
[03:07] <Lifeblood> Please cease the delay.
[03:07] * Iceburn moves more rubble to reveal the bot he found has nothing connected from the middle down.
[03:07] <Solder> Gimme a minute...
[03:07] * Adam scowls.
[03:07] * Solder gets up and walks over to Iceburn.
[03:08] <Admiral Lilwall> You can wear the armor over the top of your clothing, Adam. Most tend to anyway.
[03:08] <Iceburn> oh..
[03:08] <Iceburn> That doesn't look good. He's alive at least...
[03:08] <Adam> Oh, really? ok then
[03:08] * Adam pulls the armor on, feeling a little self conscious with everyone watching.
[03:09] * Restore stabilizes Snake-Eyes and moves on to find others.
[03:10] <Solder> See if you can find the rest of him?
[03:10] * Adam gets the helmet on with a little trouble.
[03:10] <Iceburn> uh, ok..
[03:10] <Adam> Um... now what?
[03:10] <Solder> Thanks.
[03:10] <Lifeblood> Transform.
[03:10] * Iceburn sifts through near by debris.
[03:10] <Adam> Easy for you to say.
[03:10] * Lifeblood glances at Waitstate's vitals monitor.
[03:11] [narration] Adam has no idea of the irony of that statement. ^_^
[03:11] <Admiral Lilwall> Erm, perhaps you should ensure the connection port on Waitstate is ready, Lifeblood...
[03:11] <Lifeblood> I have.
[03:11] <Admiral Lilwall> Right.
[03:11] <Lifeblood> Shall I again?
[03:11] <Admiral Lilwall> Then shut up for a minute.
[03:11] <Admiral Lilwall> Yes, that too
[03:11] <Lifeblood> Affirmative.
[03:12] * Lifeblood insures the connection port on Waitstate is ready.
[03:12] <Adam> I dont know how to...
[03:13] <Admiral-Lilwall> Adam, transforming ins't so hard once you get used to it. You'll need to concentrate the first few times.
[03:13] <Adam> What's it feel like?
[03:13] <Admiral Lilwall> It's something you'll need to will yourself to do.
[03:13] <Lifeblood> Marvelous.
[03:14] <Lifeblood> Ahem. Excuse me.
[03:14] <Admiral Lilwall> For you... well, I can't say, I don't know.
[03:14] * Lifeblood continues monitoring Waitstate.
[03:14] * Adam sort of flails about, trying to transform but mostly just getting in to awkward poses.
[03:15] * Iceburn finds a foot and brings it to solder, hoping it might be a piece of the bot.
[03:15] <Solder> Thanks...
[03:15] * iceburn goes to find more.
[03:15] * Adam suddenly transforms into a small black and chrome engine!
[03:15] * Solder seals up various leaks.
[03:16] <Admiral Lilwall> How did that feel?
[03:16] <Adam> Whoa, that was really weird!
[03:16] [narration] For reference: LeRoy is a big blocky engine, Sarah is an average engine, Avi is a sleek arrow-y engine, and Adam is a small chromey one.
[03:17] <Admiral Lilwall> Lifeblood, you may proceed.
[03:17] * Lifeblood picks up Adam-the-engine and places him into Waitstate's Powermaster port.
[03:18] <Adam> That tickles!
[03:18] <Lifeblood> Connections should begin automatically.
[03:18] [narration] Adam can feel a magnetic pull when he gets a certain distance from the port, which ultimatly makes sure he's placed correctly.
[03:19] <Lifeblood> Energy levels are rising.
[03:19] <Lifeblood> Operation appears successful.
[03:19] <Admiral Lilwall> What about the other damage Waitstate suffered?
[03:19] * Adam feels himself locking into place. His senses expand outward slightly, and he can feel Waitstate's body, his energy levels, his various senses, though slightly muted.
[03:20] <Lifeblood> Non-fatal injuries. Repair can wait until resources are less strained.
[03:20] <Lifeblood> Objection at your discretion.
[03:21] <Admiral Lilwall> So long as he can at least move about independantly.
[03:21] <Lifeblood> Affirmative.
[03:22] <Adam> I'm ok... he's waking up I think.
[03:22] <Lifeblood> All primary systems functional.
[03:22] <Lifeblood> Secondary; varies.
[03:22] <Iceburn> i don't this leg belongs to that guy...
[03:23] <Solder> Set it over there.
[03:23] * Restore notes powerplay and line-in are dead and moves onto another.
[03:23] * Iceburn does so and goes back to his search.
[03:23] * Solder just seals up whatever and checks statistics.
[03:25] * David watches from a small distance, not feeling like he should interfere at this point.
[03:25] <Lifeblood> Self-sufficiency should be capable. Shall I disengage the redundancies?
[03:25] <Solder> Power's low... [comm to engineering]
[03:25] <Restore> [comm] Bridge, we've located at least 4 survivors thus far, and too many deceased. Most of the debris is away from the bar, or at least where the bar would be if it was still there. It appears the bar exploded, theres just a large empty, black scorched space where it used to be.
[03:25] <Admiral Lilwall> Yes.
[03:26] * Lifeblood removes life support and deactivates stasis lock.
[03:26] <Crosswire> [comm] uh, engineering here... the others are too busy to talk... so, uh, yeah?
[03:27] <Adam> Hey, I felt that!
[03:27] <Solder> [comm] It's Solder. How much juice can ya spare? We got some leaky bots down here who could REALLY use some.
[03:27] <Restore> [comm] We could use a few extra hands to bring the wounded to what's left of medbay.
[03:27] * Waitstate slowly drifts into consciousness.
[03:27] <Waitstate> unghh... what happened...?
[03:28] <Crosswire> [comm] We don't have much left intact at the moment, I can send someone with what we've got to you if you want?
[03:28] <Admiral Lilwall> Glad to hear your voice.
[03:28] <Admiral Lilwall> And a hell of a lot more than you want to know.
[03:28] <Lifeblood> Commander.
[03:29] * Lifeblood nods.
[03:29] <Waitstate> I don't doubt that for a second.
[03:29] * Waitstate pushes himself up into a sitting position.
[03:29] <Admiral Lilwall> You made a bad planetfall, we almost lost you.
[03:29] * Waitstate feels off-balance.
[03:29] <Waitstate> Something's different.
[03:29] * Waitstate looks around.
[03:29] <Admiral Lilwall> You're a Powermaster now, it was the only way.
[03:29] <Waitstate> I see that's an understatement...
[03:30] <Lightning> [comm] Acknowledged, help is on the way.
[03:30] * Waitstate lingers on the doctor a moment.
[03:30] <Lifeblood> Self-diagnostics report?
[03:30] <Lightning> Comet, Cirrus, assist the doctors.
[03:30] <Waitstate> A powermaster? how?
[03:30] <Adam> Hi!
[03:30] <Comet> Yessir!
[03:30] <Cirrus> Gotcha bossman.
[03:30] * Comet sets the computers to continue scanning automated.
[03:30] <Waitstate> Umm... hi.
[03:31] * Comet waits for Cirrus, then leaves the bridge for the Plaza.
[03:31] * Restore searches through the rubble that used to be Terra's store.
[03:31] <Admiral Lilwall> Adam found you where you crashed and made a connection to you. Turns out that made him the only one capable of saving you.
[03:31] <Waitstate> Diagnostics... most systems are running around 70%. Powerplant at 212%. That's gonna take somegetting used to.
[03:32] <Solder> Primus geez. I only just got here, but... gaaaah.
[03:32] <Admiral Lilwall> A number of the others have also been made Powermasters with the help of the humans on this planet.
[03:32] * Waitstate reaches around and feels the newly installed PM engine
[03:33] <Lightning> [comm] Freedom to Admiral.
[03:33] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Whats your status?
[03:33] * Waitstate stands up, though his joints protest the movement, and looks around.
[03:33] <Waitstate> how many did we lose?
[03:34] * Comet arrives at the Plaza. "Reporting for duty, SIR!"
[03:34] <Lightning> [comm] We have minimal power, at best, still lacking gravity and other vitals. Medics have thus far found only a few survivors. the death toll is high
[03:34] <Solder> ...
[03:34] <Solder> [comm to engineering!]
[03:35] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] call when basics are active so we can start sending bots up. Lil out.
[03:35] <Crosswire> [comm] yeah?
[03:35] <Admiral Lilwall> We lost a lot of bots.
[03:36] * Cirrus arrives just behind Comet.
[03:36] <Solder> [comm] Juice, JUICE. I need POWER. I need to know if I can run the bloody recharge ports!! Not kids... I'm sure they'll help, but... gah.
[03:36] <Admiral Lilwall> Including some primary staff. Uh... Hitchhike also...
[03:36] <Solder> Kids, um... search the rubble. Quickly.
[03:36] <Waitstate> WHAT?
[03:36] <Cirrus> Yessir!
[03:36] * Comet does as told.
[03:36] * Cirrus begins digging
[03:36] <Cirrus> Um... for what?
[03:36] <Crosswire> [comm] no! you can't! I'm sorry but things are just to slagged at this stage!
[03:37] <Crosswire> [comm] the best Sunspot can offer you is a few portable power packs, and they're on their way.
[03:37] <Solder> [comm] Argh. Well, thanks. Solder out.
[03:37] <Waitstate> Slag slag slag...
[03:38] * Lifeblood bows his head slightly.
[03:38] <Admiral Lilwall> The pod she was in had a rough landing. Only Cuffs survived the crash. Hitchhike and Forerunner didn't make it.
[03:39] <Solder> Robots! Transformers! Survivors, barely-gonna-make-its! Anything!
[03:39] <Waitstate> No chance of repair?
[03:39] <Lifeblood> Negative.
[03:39] <Cirrus> Um, right! *starts tossing rubble aside*
[03:39] <Waitstate> I'd... like to see her.
[03:39] <Admiral Lilwall> I don't think thats a good idea right now...
[03:40] <Waitstate> I SAID I wanted to see her.
[03:40] <Admiral Lilwall> Right...
[03:40] <Admiral Lilwall> Uh. *motions to Lifeblood*
[03:41] * Lifeblood lumbers into the tent noisily for the hoverbed.
[03:41] * Lifeblood returns.
[03:42] * Admiral Lilwall stands ready to grab Waitstate if he decides to attack.
[03:43] <Solder> Restore, we've got some portable power packs on the way, but that's all we've got so far as power goes...
[03:43] [narration] Lifeblood appears to be a Frankenstein's monster-ish amalgym of Hitchhike and Forerunner, with Lifeblood's head attached on top.
[03:43] <Cirrus> I found a hand! ...ew
[03:44] <Solder> Oh, spare me, varmint. Lemme see it.
[03:44] <Restore> It'll have to do for now! I don't think there's any one else down here, we should start moving them.
[03:44] * Cirrus hands it over
[03:44] <Solder> Aye-aye...
[03:44] * Solder picks pieces up gently.
[03:44] <Solder> Kids, follow us!
[03:44] [narration] The med bed Lifeblood brings out has the remaining bits and pieces of both bots set out on it.
[03:44] * Cirrus chases.
[03:44] * Comet picks up some pieces, too, and follows.
[03:45] <Waitstate> I said I wanted to see her, not this scrap pi-...
[03:45] [narration] The remaining parts make Lifeblood's appearance all the more obvious now.
[03:45] <Waitstate> You sparkless rusted piece of slag, how COULD YOU???
[03:45] <Lifeblood> ?
[03:46] * Waitstate lurches forward as though to attack, but Lil holds him back.
[03:46] <Admiral Lilwall> *while holding Wait back* Lifeblood go do something else, you're assistance here is no longer required.
[03:46] <Lifeblood> My apologies for your loss, Commander. It was not my decision.
[03:46] <Lifeblood> Affirmative.
[03:46] * Lifeblood lumbers away.
[03:47] <Waitstate> How could you let him...
[03:47] <Admiral Lilwall> By the time I knew this happened, it was pointless reversing it, we needed as many doctors as we could get.
[03:48] * Waitstate struggles loose and steps over to the platform he'd been laying on, hunching over and leaning on top of it.
[03:48] * Admiral Lilwall helps Wait up.
[03:49] <Admiral Lilwall> Try to take it easy! You're not up to taking him down and it won't change anything anyway!
[03:49] <Admiral Lilwall> There are other things going on, namly being whereever the slag we are.
[03:50] <Waitstate> I- I know. I'm sure there was nothing that could have been done and I'm sure there was a good reason. I just... I need to sit.
[03:50] <Admiral Lilwall> Yes, sit..
[03:50] * Waitstate sits and tries to regain his composure.
[03:50] <Comet> So, um. Where are we taking them?
[03:51] <Solder> Medbay, I guess.
[03:51] <Solder> Restore?
[03:51] <Admiral Lilwall> We've had heavy casualties, most of the minor injuries have been taken care of thanks to human assistance, and theres few major cases left now.
[03:51] <Restore> yep, whats left of it anyway.
[03:51] <Waitstate> Humans... yes, how? We were nowhere near any human worlds. Where are we?
[03:52] <Admiral Lilwall> Thats one of our other dilemmas.
[03:52] <Admiral Lilwall> Its turned out that we've likly crossed into an alternate universe.
[03:53] <Admiral Lilwall> One where Cybertron doesn't exist, where Transformers don't exist.
[03:53] <Admiral Lilwall> These humans have never seen a giant living robot until a few days ago.
[03:53] <Waitstate> That means no evil versions of us at least, heh...
[03:53] <Admiral Lilwall> luckily we ran into some nice ones, well, more like they ran into us, and helped us out.
[03:53] * Waitstate holds his head and shakes it in disbelief.
[03:54] <Waitstate> how's the ship?
[03:54] <Admiral Lilwall> until today we havn't been able to go near it.
[03:54] <Admiral Lilwall> A nacelle broke away from the ship and exploded towards the end of the evac.
[03:55] <Admiral Lilwall> there has been lethal radiation since
[03:55] <Waitstate> so it's still intact? at least partially?
[03:56] <Admiral Lilwall> Yes, I haven't seen it for myself yet, but I've got teams on board trying to get some sort of power online, and searching for survivors.
[03:56] <Admiral Lilwall> I've been assured the damage is like nothing we've seen before.
[03:57] <Admiral Lilwall> I'll be many months before we're back to full operational status, if the ship will ever fly again at all. We don't know yet.
[03:57] <Waitstate> I remember watching the tactical monitors during the attack. That last shot with the DEM...
[03:58] <Admiral Lilwall> Yes, there was a serious overload of some kind, the rest I remember being a scramble to evac.
[03:59] <Waitstate> I do remember seeing the planet below. I was too busy to worry about where it came from at the time though.
[04:00] <Admiral Lilwall> Teams have recovered all our deceased and tech from the crash sites, it's being readied for transport now. The remaining crew here are also preparing for departure, but we can't go back until gravity and emergency feilds are brought online.
[04:01] * Restore helps bring the injuried into medbay and begins working on the worse cases first, with the meddrone starting on those less urgent.
[04:01] <Waitstate> I suppose that makes sense. Though I'd imagine we're going to need the humans' help if we're going to rebuild the ship.
[04:02] <Restore> I'll handle things here, the rest of you should spread out through the ship and see who else you can find.
[04:02] <Admiral Lilwall> We'll worry about that when the time comes.
[04:02] <Admiral Lilwall> Oh yes...
[04:03] <Admiral Lilwall> I forgot, you should probably be introduced. Firstly, the guy attached to your back is Adam. And this is his father, David.
[04:04] <Waitstate> oh! gosh, I'm sorry.
[04:04] * Waitstate looks down to the human.
[04:04] <Waitstate> It's been a very traumatic awakening for me.
[04:05] <Solder> Aye...
[04:05] * Solder leaves in one direction.
[04:05] * Comet leaves in another.
[04:05] <David> Yes, I heard most of it. I'm sorry for your loss.
[04:06] <Waitstate> Thank you, it's appreciated, Mr...?
[04:06] * Iceburn wanders off somewhere to look for bots.
[04:06] <David> Marshall. David Marshall.
[04:06] <Waitstate> Mr. Marshall. *smiles*
[04:06] <Waitstate> And I guess that makes the voice coming from behind my head Adam Marshall?
[04:07] <Adam> Hi! Yeah, that's me.
[04:07] <Adam> I kind of found you and drove you home.
[04:08] <Waitstate> That sounds like a very interesting story, that I'd very much like to hear when we have some time alone...
[04:09] * Adam grins sheepishly. Or would if he was in human form at the moment.
