[00:08] [narration] Last Time In LONAC: While Waitstate and Company travel to a mysterious space station, pirates began to attack the Freedom! With only Sunspot and Thrashmane on the bridge, what will our heros do? Will the ill-toothed boarders be repelled, or does this spell certain doom for Waitstate? [note: this log only deals with the events that take place on the Freedom.]
[00:09] * Talis is in the open shuttlebay of the Freedom, looking on
[00:09] * Sunspot is on the bridge, being very concerned.
[00:10] * Thrashmane waits, tense.
[00:11] * Admiral Lilwall heads for the bridge.
[00:11] * Roadkill had just reached the bridge door when the pirate ship first shot.
[00:12] * Roadkill enters the bridge "What's going on?"
[00:12] <Sunspot> So, ah...you think they bought that?
[00:12] <Sunspot> Well, um, there were these pirates, and they contacted us, and, um...
[00:12] <Thrashmane> Well you outrank me, Sunny. Should I open a channel or not?
[00:13] * Admiral Lilwall enters the bridge.
[00:13] <Roadkill> *dryly* Great... *drops down at his bridge station*
[00:13] <Admiral Lilwall> What hit us?
[00:13] <Sunspot> Admiral! There are these pirates and stuff!
[00:13] <Thrashmane> And nevermind, since Lilwall outranks you. Orders, sir?
[00:13] <Thrashmane> Well, these pirates started shooting at us.
[00:13] * Rockbox and Eequ walk around the Plaza.
[00:13] <Admiral Lilwall> They haven't shot again, have they tried to contact us?
[00:13] <Roadkill> Apparently it's the same pirates we had a run-in with earlier...
[00:14] * Talis comms the bridge.
[00:14] [narration] The pirates are, of course, belaying and docking with the Freedom already.
[00:14] <Talis> comm: This is Talis on hanger deck, are we negotiating up there or do we open fire?
[00:14] <Thrashmane> They're trying to board us, sir...
[00:14] <Thrashmane> Quite successfully, in fact.
[00:15] <Admiral Lilwall> Where?
[00:15] * Sunspot gets on a comm.
[00:15] <Sunspot> [comm] Sorry, Talis, we're figuring things out, but all signs point to opening fire.
[00:16] <Admiral Lilwall> Red alert, all hands, prepare to be boarded. Civilians to quarters, all duty staff, arm yourselvees for combat.
[00:16] * Thrashmane checks again... "The deck above the plaza, starboard side. Cutting through the hull quite fast."
[00:16] <Admiral-Lilwall> Thrashmane, activate all internal defense systems.
[00:16] <Thrashmane> Way ahead of you.
[00:16] <Download> Oh boy. Everybody go home!
[00:17] * Talis drifts out of the hanger bay and into space, magnilocking to the ship's surface as he comes around to where the pirate ship is docked.
[00:17] * Moonstone leaps up to Sunspot's shoulder via a chair she's conveniently standing by.
[00:18] * Splitwit pops out of the bar, rubbing his eyes "Whuhwanow...?"
[00:18] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] All duty staff head for deck 3, section 4a and repel the invaders.
[00:18] <Thrashmane> And they've just broke through.
[00:18] * Gravix repels invaders.
[00:18] <Sunspot> Thrash? Should we go help? A lot of our big guns are down with Wait...
[00:18] <Admiral Lilwall> Seal off that deck,
[00:19] <Admiral Lilwall> Only duty staff have access.
[00:19] [narration] Pirates, lots of pirates, charge through a round opening into the ship, enercutlasses and pistols in hand.
[00:19] <Thrashmane> Right.
[00:19] * Talis notes the spot where the pirate ship is connected with the Freedom.
[00:19] <Talis> damn, times like these I wish I still had some heavy artillery...
[00:19] * Cuffs, Hitchhike and Lightning head towards the invaded area.
[00:20] * Thrashmane seals off the deck, then turns to Sunspot "I don't think so; we'd be of more use up here."
[00:20] * Sunspot nods.
[00:20] <Admiral Lilwall> Sunspot, get down to engineering and lock it up before any pirates can get there.
[00:20] <Thrashmane> Or you could do that.
[00:20] <Sunspot> Right!
[00:20] * Thrashmane gives Sunny one last glance.
[00:21] <Sunspot> Don't worry, I'll be fine.
[00:21] <Admiral Lilwall> Cirrus, anychance we can break loose?
[00:21] <Splitwit> Eeeyow...
[00:21] * Sunspot leaves the bridge, headed for engineering.
[00:21] * Roadkill is trying to monitor the pirates' communications...
[00:21] <Talis> comm: Bridge, I'm on the outside between the pirate ship and us, near their docking ring. Do we have anyone near the point of breach?
[00:21] * Splitwit tries to get his bearings straight.
[00:21] <Cirrus> Sorry Commander, not without tearing out a hunk of the hull.
[00:21] <Download> Splitwit, you gotta get outta here, we've been boarded! The bar is shut down!
[00:22] * The Pirates block off the coridors next to the breach, setting up heavy defences and the like
[00:22] <Splitwit> Well, hey, why didn't you say so?
[00:22] <Admiral Lilwall> Replace Thrashmane at his station. Thrash, I want you out there fighting.
[00:22] * Splitwit heaves a shotgun onto his shoulder "Let's rock, baby."
[00:22] * Cuffs and co entert he deck, carefully moving through it towards the breach.
[00:23] <Talis> [comm] Bridge, I'm on the outside between the pirate ship and us, near their docking ring. Do we have anyone near the point of breach?
[00:23] * Thrashmane nods and gets out of his chair. "I'm on it."
[00:23] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Units are still on their way Talis, if you can, scrap the connection, the less that get through the better.
[00:24] * The Pirates say stuff like "Yarr!" and "Aye, cap'n!"
[00:24] <Hitchhike> I read a whole bunch of bots ahead,
[00:24] <Talis> [comm]I don't have the firepower to blast the connector off, but I may be able to make some holes...
[00:24] * Thrashmane strides down to where he's needed.
[00:24] <Cuffs> We should wait for backup.
[00:24] * Talis pulls out both chainblasters and opens fire on the docking ring.
[00:24] <Lightning> We don't have time to wait, open fire!
[00:25] * Lightning runs off ahead to where the pirates are.
[00:25] * One big pirate, armed to the teeth (literally... one cutlass is held between his teeth) with blades takes up point at the corridor end that everyone is approaching from.
[00:25] * Lightning spots the pirate and opesn fire, Cuffs and Hitchhike not far behind.
[00:26] * Slipstream zooms over from the station back to the Freedom (since she didn't actually land in the station with the shuttle).
[00:26] * Talis watches as laserfire deflects off the armor around the ring. Then, a few shots begin to burn the outer surface instead of bouncing off into space.
[00:26] <Pirate> Aye, I be Muzzleloader, boardin' chief o' this 'ere fine vessel! Y'all can consider y'ship forfit, else ye feel like forfitin' y'lives!
[00:26] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] Talis, any progress?
[00:26] * Sunspot finally makes it to the engineering section and starts locking up control panels and sealing doors.
[00:26] * Thrashmane arrives next to Lightning
[00:27] * Slipstream flies around the Freedom to where the pirate ship's connected, then hovers near Talis.
[00:27] <Thrashmane> Allright... then...
[00:27] <Lightning> And you can go to slag! *opens fire with the other two*
[00:27] <Slipstream> [comm to Talis] Need a hand?
[00:27] * Thrashmane fires a flare at Muzzleloader.
[00:27] <Muzzleloader> Aye, scurvy sea dogs! Open fire, ye mangy rats!
[00:27] * The pirates open fire!
[00:28] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Thrashmane, take command of that end of the deck and maintain a defense line.
[00:28] * Thrashmane's flare explodes behind Muzzleloader, leaving him unaffected but blinding most of the pirates behind him.
[00:28] <Talis> [comm] That might be a good ide--
[00:28] <Thrashmane> [Comm] Aye... I mean, roger that, Sir.
[00:29] * Cuffs and Hitchhike fire continually.
[00:29] * Talis gets cut off as pirate ship cannons start hammering at the Freedom surface exactly where he is.
[00:29] <Talis> Gah! *flies off the surface of the ship*
[00:29] * Several pirates fall, but more keep issuing out of the ship.
[00:29] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Gravix, do you copy? I need you to take charge of the bots on the forward end of deck 3 and hold a defensive line against the pirates.
[00:29] * Thrashmane refrains from firing his plasma cannon so close to the outer hull.
[00:30] <Gravix> [comm] Copy that.
[00:30] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Dark Force, and which ever remaining Tactibots, make for the forward end of Deck 3m.
[00:30] <Gravix> Crap.
[00:30] * Recoil comes up along side Thrash and co.
[00:30] * The pirates keep firing, quickly gaining ground.
[00:31] <Recoil> Boom time, Thrashmane? *eager to blow something up*
[00:31] * Flashpoint leaves whereever he was before, axe in either hand as he heads for the specified location.
[00:32] <Cuffs> There's too many coming through, we'll be overrun soon enough.
[00:32] * Dark Force arrives to assist Gravix and the others.
[00:32] * Arashi and Starstorm leave their quarters and meet up with Firestorm on their way to the others.
[00:32] * The pirates charge, sabers flashing and firing off many rounds!
[00:32] <Talis> *in flight* I was hoping the pirate ship wouldn't see me until later...
[00:32] * Pheonyx gets off from Scamp's shoulder and waits for Gravix to give orders.
[00:33] <Thrashmane> Flack... Lightning, we need to retreat a bit into a more defensable location. This hallway isn't doing it.
[00:33] * Thrashmane edges back.
[00:33] <Gravix> Okay, let's see
[00:33] <Recoil> I will cover you. *clicks missiles into place*
[00:34] * Cuffs, Hitchhike and Lightning move back.
[00:34] <Gravix> I want everyone to stay close.
[00:34] * Flashpoint arrives where Gravix and Dark Force are, just before Arashi, Starstorm and Firestorm.
[00:34] <Thrashmane> Recoil, doorway.
[00:34] <Gravix> There's little chance of multiple hull-breaches on this deck.
[00:34] * Recoil steps forward, and fires off two missiles at the big pirate.
[00:34] <Thrashmane> Recoil, hold your fire. We don't want to give them another doorway.
[00:34] <Thrashmane> *facepalm* Never MIND.
[00:35] * Muzzleloader dives out of the way as the missiles cruise past into the maw of pirates, scattering them and killing well, a lot.
[00:35] * Talis transforms to flight mode and maneuvers around best he can to avoid external cannons from the pirate ship, all of which seem to be aiming at him and Slip.
[00:37] * Thrashmane orders Lightning around, 'cause he can "Retreat to the plaza, -now-. We can hold our position there and concentrate on getting that ship away from us."
[00:37] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Talis, Slipstream, nevermind the pirate craft, we've got too many inside, get back here and join the blockades.
[00:37] <Lightning> We can't allow them to spread!
[00:38] <Slipstream> [comm] Roger that, Lil, we'll be there soon.
[00:38] <Hitchhike> We can't stop them either, jet boy. *falls back*
[00:38] <Thrashmane> The side halls have been locked off... but if they can cut through the hull... you're right.
[00:38] * Thrashmane casually fires another flare as he debates with Lightning.
[00:38] * Recoil fire off another two missiles and joins the others.
[00:39] <Slipstream> [comm] C'mon, Talis, let's get back inside. *zooms off to one of the airlocks*
[00:39] * The pirates starts flooding the halls, making it difficult to fight and easy targets.
[00:39] * Talis flies back inside the hanger.
[00:40] <Thrashmane> [Comm] Lilwall, we're going to need some reinforcements, ASAP!
[00:40] <Rockbox> <Eequ> Rock, we need to get out of here!
[00:40] * Slipstream reboards the Freedom and heads towards the breached area.
[00:40] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] I'll have everyone we've got meet you in the plaza, lead them there!
[00:41] * The pirates set up a stationary cannon further back, but above the heads of the rest. A pirate lights the fuse and lets her rip straight at Recoil!
[00:41] <Gravix> [comm] Admiral, what's going on?
[00:41] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Attention Plaza, any non duty staff there must evacuate immediatly.
[00:41] <Thrashmane> *Aside to Lightning* Orders from the Admiral. We pull back!
[00:41] * Sunspot is still busy with the engineering lockdown.
[00:41] <Rockbox> Slag! Eequ, run for it!
[00:42] * Rockbox and Eequ start looking for a place to hide.
[00:42] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] In case you didn't notice all those pirates there, Gravix, we've been boarded. Fall back to the plaza
[00:42] * Splitwit, sitting on a bench with his shotgun, looks up at the celing "Non duty staff? Screw that. I'm stayin' right here."
[00:42] * Slipstream catches up with Flashpoint and whoever's with him. "What's the sitch?"
[00:42] * Eequ pulls her multi-staff from subspace.
[00:43] <Thrashmane> The "stich" is we've got a bunch of pirates crammed into a hallway with some heavy artillery, and we've got orders to pull back to the Plaza.
[00:43] <Gravix> Okay, everyone to the plaza.
[00:43] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Someone get to the armory and get the MAUs deployed, I don't want the pirates getting out of the plaza alive.
[00:43] * Thrashmane jabs a thumb over his shoulder as he fires yet another blinding flare "Now PULL BACK!"
[00:43] * Rockbox pulls out his laser pistol.
[00:43] * Slipstream rolls her optics and falls back a bit.
[00:43] * Snake-Eyes hides in the back room of her store, under a work bench.
[00:43] <Rockbox> Primus, I hope this thing still works.
[00:43] * Sunspot finishes the lockdown and starts heading back to the bridge.
[00:44] <Thrashmane> Cuffs! Roll out the MAUs from the Armory and get 'em here as fast as you can.
[00:44] * Download and Goannis decide to should hide in the back room of the bar.
[00:44] <Cuffs> Hitchhike, Lightning, with me!
[00:44] * Cuffs and co run off.
[00:45] <Thrashmane> And get me a gun!
[00:45] <Eequ> Rock, stay down, OK?
[00:45] <Rockbox> Gotcha Eequ. Be safe.
[00:45] * Thrashmane withdraws, using his flares to slow down the pirates' progress.
[00:46] * The Tactibots on the ship follow Gravix and Dark Force to the plaza.
[00:46] * Recoil waits in the plaza for more pirates to blast.
[00:47] * Sunspot turns a corner to find that the pirates have blocked the hallway she needs to get back to the bridge.
[00:47] * Cuffs, Hitchhike, and Lightning reach the amory and move out a MAU unit each.
[00:47] * Anchor shoots a pirate in the face from over Sunspot's shoulder "Need a hand, boss?"
[00:48] <Flashpoint> *to Slip while rushing off* Apparently going to the plaza to fight pirates, from what I can gather.
[00:49] * Gravix and company arrive at the plaza.
[00:49] <Ruse> Is the bar still open?
[00:49] * Sunspot backs up a couple corridors, going over the ship's layout in her head.
[00:49] * Slipstream waits in the plaza with Flashpoint and the others.
[00:49] <Admiral Lilwall> Cirrus, seal all Plaza exits, no one gets out but us, and only then if we really have to.
[00:50] <Cirrus> Aye sir! Lockdown sequence in progress.
[00:50] * Thrashmane arrives in the Plaza.
[00:50] * Pheonyx squawks at Ruse.
[00:51] * Ruse smiles then fires a few random blasts.
[00:51] * Sunspot finds the right hatch leading into the utility ducts and starts removing the bolts.
[00:51] * Cuffs and co. return to the plaza with the maus and set them up in strategic locations.
[00:52] * Slipstream looks around the Plaza, mentally calculating heights and distances...
[00:52] * Slipstream redecorates.
[00:53] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] get ready Plaza, they'll be there any second.
[00:53] * Thrashmane starts ordering people around, setting up barriers of benches and tables and making sure everyone can hold the position.
[00:53] * The pirates charges into the Plaza! Arr!
[00:53] * Format finally arrives at the plaza and joins the ensuing battle.
[00:54] * Sunspot gets the panel off and crawls into a duct that's just big enough for her to crawl through.
[00:54] * Slipstream leaps into the air and transforms to starfighter mode, hovering just above head level and aiming her four lasers at the incoming pirates, then opens fire.
[00:54] <Admiral Lilwall> Cirrus, Sunspot should be back soon, tell her to keep an eye on things. I'm heading down to the plaza.
[00:55] * Cuffs fires a MAU, sending a lethal blast of plasma energy into the swarm of Pirates.
[00:55] * Eequ charges a nearby pirate and deals it severe damage before moving to the next.
[00:55] * Admiral Lilwall gets up and exits the bridge.
[00:55] * Firestorm flamethrowers any pirates that get too close.
[00:55] * Thrashmane drops his left hand, catching it with his other, and fires off a bolt of well-aimed plasma. Muzzleloader's head is now not attached to the rest of his body.
[00:56] * Slipstream's lasers are designed to penetrate ship hulls, so they make short work of most pirates she hits.
[00:56] * Hitchhike and Lightning fire off their MAUs, Pheonyx and Format fire their weapons continually.
[00:56] * Dark Star fires
[00:56] <Thrashmane> SLIP!
[00:56] * Cirrus takes the big chair, not knowing what else to do.
[00:57] <Thrashmane> Rrgh... try not to hit things that are NOT pirates?
[00:57] * Recoil fires off his missiles into the pirates.
[00:57] * One pirate, this one being particularly fast, charges at Thrashmane, intent on driving his rapier through his skull.
[00:57] <Slipstream> My aim's better than that, THANK you very much! *continues hovering above the lonac bots and firing at any pirates that end up in her sights.*
[00:58] * Eequ leaps into a group of prirates and begins a martial atrs display the likes of which have never been seen.
[00:58] * A pirate gets a little too close to an exit corridor, one that Talis comes thundering down. A well place punch smashes into the pirate's chest, sending him flying a good distance across the plaza. The totally fractured chest armor and sparking debris indicate he will not get back up.
[00:58] * Phoenyx is shot down.
[00:58] * Said pirate does, in fact, not get up.
[00:58] <Cuffs> Computer, activate crowd control weapons, target all non LONAC crew.
[00:59] * Talis pulls his chainblaster out of subspace, sets it for 'indoor' and starts firing at the pirates.
[00:59] * Slipstream slips sideways to avoid some return fire.
[00:59] * Another pirate picks up the one Talis took out and hurls him at Thrash.
[00:59] * Admiral Lilwall arrives at the plaza and joins the fight.
[00:59] * Flashpoint runs towards the angry pirate mob and begins to make a mess with his axes.
[00:59] * Eequ gets blind-sided by a pirate and takes a vicious strike to the back. Her "ribbons" fall to the deck.
[01:00] * Thrashmane gets a pirate-to-the-head.
[01:00] <Rockbox> EEQU!
[01:00] * Hitchhike dives clear of her MAU as a missile heads for her.
[01:00] * Slipstream aims at one of the pirates near Eequ and fires, vaporising his head.
[01:00] [narration] The missile destroys the MAU.
[01:01] * Talis starts firing his chainblaster at the pirate that just picked up the pirate he had just knocked out.
[01:01] * Hitchhike takes outher weapon and opens fire.
[01:01] * Rockbox leaps up and starts firing blindly at pirates before realizing his weapon has almost no effect against their armor.
[01:01] * Amethyst transforms to cycle mode and Gravix hops on.
[01:01] <Eequ> ooww.
[01:01] * Admiral Lilwall fires his turrets as well has his hand held blaster.
[01:01] * The pirates ranks are starting to thin out.
[01:02] * Lightning and Cuffs fire off more blasts from their MAUs.
[01:02] * Amethyst drives towards the pirates.
[01:02] * Eequ gets up fighting again, slower this time, and pulls out her plasma saber.
[01:02] * Slipstream aims and fires again, and more pirates lose vital body parts.
[01:02] * Rockbox gets hammered by a pirate that snuck up on him and falls to the deck, out cold.
[01:03] * Many pirate's last words turn out to be "Arr..."
[01:03] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Freedom to Waitstate, do you copy?
[01:03] * Sunspot inadvertantly sends a ceiling panel clattering into the pirates' ranks just in front of where LONAC's front line stands.
[01:03] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Waitstate?
[01:03] * Gravix flings his chain whip around a pirate's legs and drags him across the floor.
[01:03] <Admiral Lilwall> Slag.
[01:04] <Admiral Lilwall> They're loosing numbers, push forward!
[01:04] * Eequ starts slicing randam pirate parts.
[01:04] * Several pirates burst through the door into the Bridge. One rushes up and puts the edge of a knife to Cirrus' neck.
[01:04] * Talis can't help but jump back as a stray shot from Slipstream incinerates the bulkhead to his side.
[01:04] * The pirates starts aiming heavy fire at Slipstream, focusing on her wings.
[01:04] * Sunspot also inadventantly sends herself clattering down, landing on a couple pirates in the process.
[01:04] * Roadkill quickly rises from his seat, unsubbing his rifle, then shoots the offending pirate in the face.
[01:05] * Slipstream sideslips and dodges as best she can in the cramped space of the plaza, firing back repeatedly.
[01:05] * Thrashmane charges, knocking over whatever pirates are in his way and does his best to get to Sunspot's side.
[01:05] * Moonstone jumps down after her.
[01:05] * Thrashmane gets a Moonstone-to-the-head.
[01:06] * Eequ finishes off the last pirate near her and starts frantically looking around "Rockbox?"
[01:06] * Talis jumps out of the exit corridor out onto the plaza, firing randomly into the group of pirates. He finds more cover and dives for it with enough noise to be heard even over the heavy fire.
[01:07] * Roadkill continues to fire at the Pirates invading the bridge, using his flamethrowers when they get too close.
[01:07] * Sunspot gets her arms in flamethrower mode and puts down her visor as soon as she regains her senses.
[01:07] <Thrashmane> *To Sunny, as he punches a pirate in the gut* No, this is not a private party. Feel free to drop in.
[01:07] * Slipstream gets hit several times in the wings, but it doesn't affect the antigrav keeping her up and she continues to shoot at the pirates aiming at her.
[01:07] * Moonstone transforms into his disk mode, attaching himself to Sunspot's arm like a shield.
[01:08] <Admiral Lilwall> You bots hold the line here, I'm heading back to the bridge to see if I can get in contact with Waitstate.
[01:08] * Sunspot still manages to take a couple hits in the process.
[01:08] <Admiral Lilwall> Gravix, Flashpoint, you two are in charge.
[01:08] <Slipstream> Don't bother, Lil, the station's blocking all comms.
[01:08] <Sunspot> This is - ow! - not what I had planned.
[01:08] * A pirate flips out and kicks Sunspot in the head while stabbing Thrashmane in the process.
[01:08] <Flashpoint> Understood.
[01:08] * Sunspot turns to Thrash, flaming the pirates away as best she can.
[01:08] <Sunspot> So um...how are we doing?
[01:09] <Admiral Lilwall> The station? How?
[01:09] <Thrashmane> We, or "we"?
[01:09] <Slipstream> Same way it was keeping from being detected on most bands. Shielding out the kazoo.
[01:09] <Sunspot> Y'know...everybody.
[01:10] <Admiral-Lilwall> We need to find a way to get through it then, *heads off for the bridge*
[01:10] <Thrashmane> Um, right. Well, we're holding the position. Yeah. We um, need to get back out of this mob of pirates and, you know, um... yeah.
[01:10] * Roadkill is quite busy trying to fend off all the pirates invading the bridge. :P
[01:10] * Talis one of the pirates gets daring and lunges for Talis in his cover spot, knocking his chainblaster across the floor.
[01:10] * Thrashmane regains his confidence when he deflects a cutlass into another pirate's face by accident.
[01:11] <Thrashmane> [Comm to Slip] A LITTLE help, maybe?
[01:11] * Eequ makes her way back to the unconscious Rockbox, mech fluid flowing freely down her back. Rockbox is out cold, his chest smashed.
[01:11] <Slipstream> [comm] On my way. *zips overhead towards Thrash and Sunny, lasers firing accurately at the pirates around them.*
[01:11] * Sunspot manages to deflect the pirates' saber slashes with the small force shield Moonstone's projecting.
[01:11] * Admiral Lilwall arrives back near the bridge and spots some friendly pirates.
[01:11] * Solder reboots and finds himself in the middle of a ship siege, apparantly.
[01:12] <Solder> Huh!
[01:12] * Talis is lucky, as this pirate is one of the weaker ones, if not bolder--or maybe just stupid. Talis stands up while the Pirate still has him in some form of grip.
[01:12] * Thrashmane loses his left arm to the quick blade of a very big, strong pirate.
[01:12] * Admiral Lilwall attacks the pirates with his guns.
[01:12] * Talis grabs the pirate holding onto him, then piledrives him into the deck. Twice, as this pirate is stubborn.
[01:12] <Thrashmane> Glck!
[01:12] * Slipstream vaporises the head of the pirate that just took off Thrash's arm.
[01:13] * Thrashmane drops to his knees and headbutts the pirate in the groin.
[01:13] * Solder runs over to a com.
[01:13] <Sunspot> Uh oh, uh oh...back, Thrash, we gotta get to the back of all this...
[01:13] * Flashpoint transforms to dragon mode and starts stomping, tearing and throwing pirates about.
[01:13] <Thrashmane> Thanks Slip... this really hurts.
[01:14] <Slipstream> No worries. Sunny, get him out of here, I'll cover you.
[01:14] <Sunspot> Moonstone. Take care of him.
[01:14] * Thrashmane starts to hobble back to the front line.
[01:14] * Talis pulls his only other chainblaster out of subspace and covers himself as he makes a run for the one he lost across the deck floor.
[01:14] * Moonstone jumps off Sunspot's arm, then attaches to Thrashmane with a bigger energy shield than before.
[01:14] * Slipstream hovers from side to side overhead, continuing to fire into the pirate's ranks as return fire lances out at her.
[01:15] * Thrashmane keeps one eye shut in pain and coughs up some blood "Heh, thanks Moonstone."
[01:15] * Admiral Lilwall takes down a few more pirates and manages to shove his way past others in order to get to the bridge.
[01:15] * The pirates start advancing.
[01:15] <Solder> [ship-wide comm] Goooooooood moooooorrrrrrrrniiing Freedom Creewwww!! Is it crazy here or WHAT? Last thing I remember is the ship movin' like Our Good Pilot had a bit too much fun last night at The Neutral Ground Bar, next thing I know WE'RE UNDER SEIGE! Well! I say it's high time we say, they want the Freedom, they get it all! FIGHTING CREW INCLUDED! Now then! My orders, cap'n?
[01:16] * Talis begins rapid-firing with both chainblasters at a heftier pirate with a broadsword.
[01:16] * Sunspot backs off with Thrash, still flaming the pirates as best she can.
[01:16] * Solder is still in medbay. If it's important.
[01:16] <Thrashmane> *cough* Screw it.
[01:16] <Restore> [comm] Solder, get to medbay!
[01:17] <Solder> [comm] Haha! Alrea'y there!
[01:17] * Slipstream gets shot a few too many times for her comfort and transforms, dropping down to a crouch in front of Thrash and Sunny.
[01:17] <Sunspot> [comm] Solder! Get down here, if you can! We're getting casualties!
[01:17] * Restore activates all meddrones and resets them for combat as pirates starts knocking on medbay's door.
[01:17] * Thrashmane turns around and fires a thick line of blazing hot plasma into the closest pirates, dropping them like flies. A few splash hits of plasma burn holes in the floor and walls.
[01:17] <Slipstream> Get down, you two! *flicks out a couple of demospheres and hurls them into the front ranks of the pirates*
[01:17] * Talis puts in enough dents and scars into the pirate's armor, but it's not enough to keep him from crossing the plaza to Talis' position.
[01:17] <Thrashmane> This place needed to be redecorated anyway!
[01:17] <Solder> [comm] Gee, golly, I do believe I'm gettin' mixed signals here...
[01:17] * Admiral Lilwall makes his way into the bridge.
[01:17] <Sunspot> Ohhhhhhhh, it's gonna take weeks to get all this fixed...
[01:17] * Solder readies his own plasma rifle.
[01:18] * Roadkill is -still- fighting off pirates... he transforms to monster truck mode and just runs them down.
[01:18] * Talis quickly subs his blasters and puts up his left arm as the Pirate swings his broadsword. The weapon catches with a spark deep into the armor plating of Talis' forearm.
[01:18] * Admiral Lilwall takes on the pirates swarming the bridge.
[01:18] <Thrashmane> Sorry, love.
[01:18] * Thrashmane punches a pirate in the face with his blunt arm.
[01:19] <Sunspot> You're not boarding the ship, now are you?
[01:19] [narration] All the pirates in the bridge are DEAD!
[01:19] * Flashpoint picks up a pirate and bites it into two before throwing it away.
[01:19] <Talis> Talis, with the blade embedded and not moving for the quick moment, slams his fist into the Pirate's faceplate, suceeding in only forcing the pirate's head to snap back, then foreward..
[01:19] * Redliner meanwhile wakes up on obs deck...
[01:19] <Redliner> ...?
[01:19] <Sunspot> This is...this is totally not good...
[01:19] <Roadkill> 'bout time someone got here, Lil.
[01:19] <Thrashmane> Heh, what're you talking about? We're winning
[01:19] <Thrashmane> I think.
[01:20] <Admiral-Lilwall> Roadkill, get down to Medbay, Restore's about to be over run and she's only got some drones to help her
[01:20] * Talis gets punched in the gut by the pirate's free fist, which in turn causes the blade to be wrenched free of Talis' forearm
[01:20] * The pirates burst into Medbay. Solder attacks, shooting a few, then transforming and crashing through the group of them recklessly to get to the casualties elsewhere and let the meddrones finish it off, having secured off any patients by locking them in Restore's office.
[01:20] <Solder> Wooooooo-hoo!
[01:20] <Roadkill> Roger that. *transforms back to bot mode and bolts for medbay*
[01:20] * Restore opesn fire on the pirates, not having too much effect on them though.
[01:20] <Sunspot> If this is winning, I'm glad I missed the beginning of the fight...
[01:21] * Talis sidesteps as the pirate swings downward to cleave into Talis' cranium, then jumps in the air and places a hard kick to the pirate's shoulder.
[01:21] <Thrashmane> Sunspot, after this I'm taking you out for a night on the town, right?
[01:21] * Roadkill quickly makes his way to medbay, transforms back to monster truck mode, and ploughs into them from behind. "Make way, comin' through!"
[01:21] <Admiral Lilwall> Sunspot, is Engineerig secure?
[01:21] * Cirrus watches the situation monitors, trying to keep a cool head, but not succeeding as well as he'd like.
[01:22] * Solder drives right to the turbolift and THEN transforms. "Sorry, Wait, it won't happen again..."
[01:22] <Sunspot> Everything's locked up tight, Admiral. Doors and controls both.
[01:22] * Solder speeds it towards the Plaza.
[01:22] * The pirates start shooting at the celing above the LONACers, trying to make stuff fall on them. Plus, it's gonna make the place look like butt later on.
[01:22] * Hi Fi comes slowly wakes up to the mayhem in the Medbay.
[01:22] * Talis lands, stands back up, and comes in swinging at the just-recovering Pirate. The two exchange blows, denting and cracking armor plating.
[01:22] <Cirrus> [all comm] Attention, the invaders have penetrated into crew quarters and are taking hostage. Please, be careful!
[01:22] * Restore and the drones try to handle the pirates alone till help arrives.
[01:22] <Sunspot> Oh, that's not good.
[01:22] <Thrashmane> Great.
[01:23] * Slipstream whales at pirates with her broadsword.
[01:23] <Thrashmane> I'd like to play hero, but damned if I can't think of a thing.
[01:23] * Redliner stumbles to his feet off the couch as he notices all the alarms... hearing the ship-wide comm, he pauses for a moment to considering a line of action...
[01:23] * Hi Fi rolls of the examination table he was on as a pirate tries to cut him in two.
[01:23] <Admiral Lilwall> Get down to the plaza and hold off the main force, it's the best we can do for now.
[01:23] * The pirates take people like Autum and Diecast hostage!
[01:24] * Roadkill goes nuts in medbay, running over pirates left and right.
[01:24] * Talis punches the pirate just right, making him drop his broadsword, then follows through with a series of harsh punches that send fragmenting armor in all directions
[01:24] * Thrashmane sits down on a bench, casually firing at pirates, not really hitting any.
[01:25] <Admiral Lilwall> Cirrus, the station's sheilding is blocking comminucatiosn with Wait's team, try find a way past it.
[01:25] * Talis gets decked in the side of the head as the pirate recovers.
[01:25] * Redliner sighs. He runs out of obs deck, pistol in hand...
[01:25] <Solder> [comm to Restore] I, ah, took the liberty of preparin' for this here situation-type thing, Sir. I think if you'll go to the medtools storage, pull off the first wall plating on the right, and push the red button underneath, you'll find your odds quite turned. Hope you don't mind!
[01:25] * Slipstream works her way over to Talis.
[01:25] * Solder arrives at the Plaza.
[01:25] <Admiral Lilwall> Sunspot, help any wounded you can to medbay
[01:26] * Solder checks his rifle, then dashes out to the hallways, finally in robot mode.
[01:26] <Solder> Hello!
[01:26] * Talis staggers to the floor, then pulls his chainblaster out of subspace and waits huddled on the floor. The pirate picks up his broadsword and swings it up to come down on Talis...
[01:26] * Solder shoots some pirates.
[01:26] * Hi Fi's hands start to glow has he attacks the offending pirate.
[01:26] <Restore> bout time someone got here, thanks Roadkill
[01:26] <Misc. Pirate> Hi, arr.
[01:26] * Talis turns and fires his blaster pointblank at the pirates head.
[01:26] <Sunspot> Solder! Can you get Thrash's arm a little more...not leaking vital fluids all over the floor?
[01:26] * Slipstream hurls a cryosphere into a clump of pirates, freezing various bodyparts... an explosive demosphere soon follows, exploding the frozen bits all over the place
[01:26] <Solder> Yikes! Well, let's see, missy!
[01:26] * Solder grabs Thrash.
[01:27] <Thrashmane> !
[01:27] <Thrashmane> Hey, uh...
[01:27] <Talis> The pirate staggers backward, his face an ugly mess.
[01:27] <Thrashmane> Go for it.
[01:27] * The pirate attacking Hi Fi suddenly just falls apart, as if neatly sliced to pieces.
[01:27] * Sunspot continues melting bits of pirates that find their way too close.
[01:27] <Solder> Got the other end?
[01:27] * Slipstream swings her sword back and takes off the pirate that was attacking Talis' head.
[01:27] * Thrashmane waves off into the crowd o' pirates.
[01:27] * Talis gets up
[01:27] <Solder> Aha.
[01:27] * Solder shrugs.
[01:27] <Talis> *nods to Slip* Well, he WAS a head taller than me anyway.
[01:27] <Thrashmane> Afraid I'm short a few hands.
[01:28] <Solder> Well, can y'fight with a stub? Ha! No choice!
[01:28] * Hi Fi begins assisting Restore in helping the other patients escape.
[01:28] <Slipstream> *grins* Not any more. Need a hand?
[01:28] * Talis looks to the pirates still in the plaza.
[01:28] <Restore> Everyone into the medlab.
[01:28] <Talis> let's finish these guys off and get to crew quarters.
[01:28] * Roadkill is having fun running over pirates. It's like a demolitions derby!
[01:28] * The pirates start chucking big bombs and stuff at the crew's "beachhead."
[01:28] * Forerunner and Crosswire also end up hostages to the pirates.
[01:29] * Eequ pulls Rockbox into the bar.
[01:29] * Solder welds up the leaking pipelines and caps off any loose wires. Solder then pulls a piece of paneling off the wall, and quickly welds it over the gaping stump.
[01:29] <Solder> How's it feel?
[01:29] <Solder> Excuse me...
[01:29] <Solder> [Comm to Restore] Restore! Confirm! Did you recieve transmission?
[01:29] <Thrashmane> Well, I don't have my flares but I'm definately well armed.
[01:29] <Solder> Ouch! Ha ha!
[01:29] * Solder smacks Thrash upside the head.
[01:30] <Solder> Go get'em!
[01:30] <Admiral-Lilwall> Restore> [comm] Don't have time to get there! Kinda backing into a corner here.
[01:30] * Thrashmane stands up and transforms to a headless lion form... then transforms back.
[01:30] * Solder picks his own rifle back up.
[01:30] <Sunspot> Careful there...
[01:30] <Thrashmane> That won't do...
[01:30] * Slipstream starts lobbing demospheres at the pirates chucking bombs
[01:30] * Thrashmane starts to wade back into the mob of pirates, firing away.
[01:30] <Solder> Geeayagh!
[01:30] * Talis fires into the group, picking off the weaker ones quickly.
[01:31] * Redliner must be on the less occupied part of the ship or something, 'cause he hasn't encountered the enemy yet...
[01:31] * Solder shoots a few pirates, but then is grabbed and knocked to the floor by one.
[01:31] * Moonstone reattaches himself to Sunspot.
[01:31] * Sunspot flames the pirate attacking Solder.
[01:31] * Thrashmane picks off the one on Solder, but also hits him with light plasma splashback.
[01:31] * Admiral Lilwall takes the tactical station and opens fire on the pirate ship, hoping to persuade them we don't mind blowing them up and risking our selves at the same time.
[01:31] * Solder watches the pirate go crisp.
[01:32] <Solder> Thanks!
[01:32] <Thrashmane> Sorry...
[01:32] <Admiral-Lilwall> This oughtta hurt em a bit, seeing how they can't put their shields up.
[01:32] * A pirate runs up and jumps on Sunspot's back. He jabs the edge of a knife into her stomach!
[01:32] * Format leaps onto the pirate on Sun's back and wraps around it.
[01:33] <Sunspot> Ow ow ow ow ow...
[01:33] * Sunspot falls down.
[01:33] * Format begins to crush it's neck as he's tightens up.
[01:33] * Solder tosses pirates aside in attempt to make it over to Sunspot.
[01:33] * Eequ examines the damage to Rockbox. His chest isn't just smashed, he took a cutlas strike nearly straight through.
[01:33] <Solder> Surprise!
[01:33] <Thrashmane> *Eyes widen* oh no you did NOT.
[01:33] * Sunspot tries in vain to reach behind her with her flamers.
[01:33] * Thrashmane grabs the pirate off Sunspot by the neck, throws him into the air, and zaps him.
[01:33] * Solder cuts open a pirate's back with his welder and rips out all sorts of vital thingies.
[01:33] * Format moves onto another pirate and sinks his fangs into its eyes.
[01:34] <Thrashmane> Avalanche isn't here... so I'll do my best to make it up to you.
[01:34] * Freedom's gun continue to blast nice big holes into the pirate ship.
[01:34] * Solder treats the knife wound similarly to Thrash's stump.
[01:34] * Thrashmane kisses Sunspot on the cheek and charges off, leaving Solder to handle the wound.
[01:34] * Cuffs and Lightning wipe out more pirates with the MAUs
[01:34] <Sunspot> I so don't need to be here...
[01:34] * Redliner runs along a corridor for a bit before he realizes he's lost. o_x;
[01:34] * Slipstream and Talis are still fending off pirates on the plaza or something... fawk, where do they all COME from?!
[01:35] * Solder finishes treating the wound, but gets immediately shot in the back and blown down the corridor.
[01:35] <Redliner> ahh slaggit.... where the frig am I...
[01:35] * Hi Fi, in the medbay, leaps into a group of pirates. He takes several down before his energy supplies run out.
[01:35] * The battle lines have pretty much evaporated; now everyone is just in a big fat mob fighting.
[01:35] * Restore fires on more pirates, all the good it does.
[01:36] * Sunspot crawls to where Solder is.
[01:35] * Moonstone taps into Sunspot's power reserves and manages to extend the shield all the way around Sunspot and Solder.
[01:36] <Solder> Hey, Kitty Leader! Who all's on this boat currently, anyway?
[01:36] <Flashpoint> *yells* Time to push the pirates back!
[01:36] * Admiral Lilwall fires the Freedom's guns towards the engine of the pirate ship, hoping to encourage them further to break off.
[01:36] * Thrashmane delivers a punch to a small pirate, throwing him off balance and backwards into his shipmate's cutlass.
[01:37] * Lightning and Cuffs leave their MAUs and advance on teh pirates, firing thier own weapons.
[01:37] <Sunspot> We can't keep this up for long... Any ideas?
[01:37] * Solder re-asserts himself from the throw.
[01:37] * The pirates are all gone from Medbay*
[01:38] * Restore resets the drones to medical and has them begin immediate repairs on equipment damaged in the fight.
[01:38] * Talis notes as the last of the pirates on the Plaza make their way down one particular corridor.
[01:38] <Solder> [Comm to Restore] How goes it, Boss? I'm thinking I shouldn't have left, but, well, there were injuries down here....
[01:38] <Solder> I have a crazy idea, Sunspot.
[01:38] * Roadkill looks around for more pirates to crush. "aw, all gone?"
[01:38] <Restore> [comm] medbay is in the clear, for now, help the others.
[01:38] <Solder> If Slipstream's with us, anyway.
[01:38] <Hi Fi> some fight, huh? *falls to floor badly damged and in stasis lock*
[01:39] <Solder> [comm] Ten-four, boss!
[01:39] * Slipstream is around, somewhere, still.
[01:39] * Flashpoint and the other Tactibots go to chase the pirates back to their own ship.
[01:39] <Sunspot> [comm] Slip, think you can help us out here?
[01:39] <Talis> [comm] Hey out there, we have some stragglers heading down corridor....D-12 from the plaza. Anyone down that way?
[01:39] <Solder> Can we lead them to the ventral obs deck?
[01:40] <Slipstream> [comm] Be there in a moment...
[01:40] <Solder> *whispers to Sunspot so the pirates don't hear* and then blow the obs deck, letting the vacuum have them?
[01:40] <Sunspot> I don't know, this is a pretty random army we're dealing with...
[01:40] <Flashpoint> [comm] Push the pirates back towards their own ship!
[01:41] * Slipstream heads over to the hallway where Sunny and Solder are. "You called?"
[01:41] <Talis> *curses* [comm] pirates are going the OTHER way, away from where they docked.
[01:41] * Talis looks to Slip.
[01:41] <Talis> Well, let's go get them...
[01:41] * Eequ tries to start repairs on Rockbox.
[01:41] * Solder continues shooting pirates.
[01:41] <Sunspot> Solder was thinkg we could lead them to the ventral obs deck, then blow it out where the hull's thin.
[01:42] <Solder> I figured Slip's demospheres would be helpful to that...
[01:42] <Slipstream> We've gotten orders to try and push 'em back to their own ship though.
[01:42] * Redliner starts running up along a corridor when he starts hearing distant sounds of combat around the corner. He doesn't realize he's on the wrong side and that he's coming up behind the pirates...
[01:42] <Slipstream> I think we're trying to break the pirate ship off...
[01:43] * Thrashmane leans against a bulkhead, breathing deeply. He's getting towards the end of his rope, eyes bulging out and condensed vapor from his cannon dripping down his face.
[01:43] <Solder> Thrash! Anything wrong!
[01:43] <Thrashmane> Just... a little... tired...
[01:43] * Sunspot shakes her head.
[01:43] <Thrashmane> Nothing to worry about!
[01:43] <Solder> Ok...
[01:43] <Thrashmane> All's well, I'm fine!
[01:44] * Talis comes up from where Slip ran from.
[01:44] <Solder> If'n y'say so!
[01:44] <Sunspot> That's it, we can't...this field...takes too much power...
[01:44] * Thrashmane clutches his arm and winces at the celing.
[01:44] <Slipstream> You guys better head down to medbay, we got word that that sector's been cleared... go.
[01:44] <Solder> Go ahead, kill it! I'll be fine, save yourself!
[01:44] <Slipstream> Talis, let's go push back some pirates, neh? *grins*
[01:44] [narration] The field flickers out and fades, and Sunspot and Solder are exposed to the pirates once again.
[01:44] * Solder dives head-first into the fray, very undoctorly.
[01:45] * Redliner catches sight of the enemy and quickly turns back around and runs the other way. o_x;
[01:45] <Talis> We can try.
[01:45] <Slipstream> ... *eyes Solder for a moment, then rolls her optics and sighs* Insane. *wades in after him, broadsword swinging*
[01:45] * Talis jumps out into the corridor and begins firing.
[01:45] * A small group of pirates lurking in the shadows moves into the bar to regroup.
[01:46] * Eequ looks up at the sudden company.
[01:46] <Solder> Is there no END to these things?! Cut down one, two more! Cut down two, FOUR more!
[01:47] <Slipstream> It's insane, that's for sure.... Talis, cover me for a moment! *drops back a bit, then switches back to her alt mode*
[01:47] <Slipstream> Solder, fall back!
[01:47] * Eequ and the pirates look at each other momentarily. Eequ grabs her plasma lance and charges. The lead pirate smiles. They all raise their weapons.
[01:47] * Sunspot stands up slowly and finds another duct entry.
[01:47] * Solder does as told. Eeep.
[01:48] * Slipstream lands on the deck, wings in their firing positions... and lets rip into the pirates with a barrage of laserfire
[01:48] * Sunspot sneaks into the duct without much fanfare and pulls it closed behind her as best she can.
[01:48] [narration] A loud explosion erupts from the bar!
[01:49] * Talis ducks down as he continues to fire at the group of pirates.
[01:49] * Solder registers something Slip said a few minutes ago, and begins making his way back to a turbolift.
[01:50] * Slipstream fires over the top of Talis and into the pirate ranks, each laser blast that makes contact taking out a pirate.
[01:50] * The pirates continue funneling into the ship, though in fewer and fewer numbers.
[01:50] * The pirates still manage to swarm all through the ship, though.
[01:51] * Solder reads the turbolift and punches in to get back to Medbay.
[01:51] * Redliner hears approaching pirates and decides to just screw it and shift to bikemode, turning back yet again to flee...!
[01:51] * Talis notes one of the pirates laying flat with a large rocket launcher aimed their way. Tries to fire specifically at him, but the pirate fires off the rocket too fast...
[01:51] <Talis> HEADS UP!!!!
[01:52] * One of the pirates notices the loose wall panel and pries it off, revealing lots of sensitive utility cabling.
[01:52] <Slipstream> holy-- *uses her repulsorlifts to launch herself straight upwards...*
[01:52] * Eequ, badly damaged, missing half her face plate and body armor, fights as she has never fought before. She relieves a pirate of his cutlass, then his life.
[01:52] * Talis dives out of the way as the rocket cruises past him...
[01:53] * The pirate tosses a grenade inside.
[01:53] * Solder is in the turboshaft, vulnerable sensitive turboshaft...
[01:54] * The pirate rocket impacts behind the group, exploding and sending shards of debri and fiery goodness at them from behind.
[01:54] * The pirate grenade explodes, and almost instantly all the lights in that section of the ship go out.
[01:54] [narration] Then the gravity goes out.
[01:54] * Solder notices the lift stop.
[01:54] * Slipstream gets sprayed from behind with shrapnel, then the lights go out.
[01:54] * Redliner almost slams into the wall as the lights suddenly turn off. He flicks on his headlights.
[01:54] <Redliner> ?!
[01:54] * Solder notices "Woah, I'm flying...."
[01:54] [narration] when the explosion from the rocket dies away, the lights cut out, and gravity gives a moment later.
[01:55] <Solder> Slaggit!
[01:55] * Solder resolves to cutting through the turbo lift...
[01:55] <Slipstream> Sweet, no grav! *hovers in place and fires at surprised, floating pirates...*
[01:55] * Sunspot is knocked further up the shaft by the explosion, then knocked unconscious when her head slams into a T-junction wall.
[01:55] * Redliner suddenly finds himself... gliding down the corridor...
[01:56] <Solder> Cut cut cut....
[01:56] [narration] what's left of the lights go out in the bar. Bathed in the light of her plasma lance and stolen energocutlass, Eequ tears into the remaining disoriented pirates before they can react.
[01:57] * Solder finally makes it through, and begins swimming through the shaft towards the Medbay.
[01:57] * The pirates continue fighting, though not with the skill of their previous assault.
[01:58] * Eequ uses the pirate bodies as floating platforms and manuvers her way back to a now floating Rockbox.
[01:59] * Solder finishes swimming to Medbay.
[02:00] * Talis activates his magnilocks on his feet and walks across the left wall towards the pirates, still firing.
[02:00] * Solder cuts open another door.
[02:00] <Solder> Waitstate's going to have an aneurysm....
[02:01] * Rockbox floats in numerous pieces around the damaged bar.
[02:01] [narration] Another detatchment of pirates start making their way to the bridge.
[02:01] * Solder is finally in Medbay.
[02:01] <Solder> Restore! Anyone! Hellooooooo?!
[02:01] * Restore is busy fixing stuff and people.
[02:02] <Solder> ...am I late?
[02:02] * Admiral Lilwall seals the command area off.
[02:02] * Talis detaches from the wall and flies over to Slipstream.
[02:02] <Talis> got any spare sphere thingies?
[02:02] <Slipstream> Any more pirates left in here?

[02:03] * Roadkill is helping out Restore in whatever way he can. Mainly lifting and carrying heavy stuff.
[02:03] [narration] The hallways off the plaza are filled with deactivated pirates.
[02:04] [narration] No more pirates are left moving in the Plaza...
[02:04] * Solder sets to work repairing whoever Restore's not currently repairing.
[02:04] * Redliner shifts to botmode and crashes into a group of pre-slagged pirates. o_x; Using the floating bodies for momentum and using his headlight to see his way around, he launches off the walls to get to the lift...
[02:05] * The pirates on their way to the bridge reach the lockdown doors and begin blasting away at them.
[02:05] <Talis> *to SLIP* you got any spare sphere thingies?
[02:05] * Redliner jams a hand on the button a few times but doesn't take too long to figure out that it's busted.
[02:06] * Admiral Lilwall finally manages to bring some back up systems online and restore gravity in teh areas where its needed.
[02:06] <Slipstream> *chuckles* Do I have any spare spheres, he asks... what kind do you need?
[02:06] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] heads up everyone, gravity is coming back on in 3 seconds.
[02:06] * Slipstream makes sure her own antigrav is on.
[02:06] <Talis> demolitions type. Follow me *grins and floats down the corridor*
[02:06] * Talis activates his magnilocks again.
[02:06] * Slipstream follows after Talis.
[02:06] <Talis> slowly walks across the floor until gravity restores.
[02:07] * One pirates transforms into a battering ram and the others pound him into the reinforced door.
[02:07] * Talis slowly walks across the floor until gravity restores.
[02:07] <Solder> So, ah, how many patients you think we'll get when everyone comes crashing to the floor? Ah-heh.
[02:08] * Talis begins running normally through the plaza and to the spot where the pirate's docked as gravity re-asserts itself.
[02:08] <Restore> Probably everyone who isn't a pirate.
[02:08] * The pirates begin making a bit of a dent in the door.
[02:08] * Slipstream zips after Talis, switching back to bot mode when the corridors get too narrow to feasibly fly through.
[02:09] * Talis blasts the two Pirates guarding the docking ring, then runs to the center of the docking catwalk.
[02:09] * Redliner is drifting along a corridor at high speed when suddenly everything comes back online and he drops, crashing to the floor. ><;
[02:09] <Redliner> ow!! urgh...
[02:09] * Talis looks around until he sees the scaring marks he made from outside.
[02:10] <Talis> okay Slip, *points* here's where I was firing from outside, so that's the weakest point. We need to place a bunch, then seal off this corridor.
[02:10] * Rockbox and Eequ fall to the deck. Eequ hits a piece of debris on the way down and gets impaled through her torso. She crawls over to what's left of Rockbox and collapses.
[02:10] <Slipstream> Not a problem. *grins, then flicks out a couple of demospheres with maglocks* Clear the way, I'll have this done in a jiffy...
[02:11] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Any available units, we've got more pirates attempting to break through to the bridge, some assistance will be needed.
[02:11] * A pirate comes down the catwalk from the pirate ship, notes the two Freedom crewmembers and opens fire.
[02:11] <Roadkill> Restore, you think you'll be right down here?
[02:11] * Redliner scrambles back up to his feet and shifts to bikemode, tearing down the corridor to find another functional lift.
[02:11] * Talis guns him down quickly, and a second that runs in after him.
[02:11] <Restore> [comm] we're clear for now
[02:11] <Talis> Tell you waht, I think I'll stay here and keep cover while you work.
[02:12] <Slipstream> ... good enough. *quickly starts mag-locking demospheres to the catwalk walls*
[02:12] <Eequ> Ah'm...... nah............ gonna............................. die............. like............. thissssssss........... *falls into emergency stasis lock*
[02:12] * Solder fidgets.
[02:13] <Solder> Sorry, boss. I shouldn't have left the first time. I didn't think it'd be so bad down here...
[02:13] * Roadkill makes his way towards the bridge
[02:13] <Restore> we got through it, thats all that matters.
[02:13] * Redliner finds a functional lift and makes his way towards bridge.
[02:13] * Slipstream finishes placing the spheres. "Right, that's it, let's book."
[02:14] * The pirates start making a significantly more serious dent in the door.
[02:14] <Solder> Yeah, I s'pose....
[02:14] * Solder goes back to work.
[02:14] <Talis> got it! *runs back down the corridor*
[02:14] * Slipstream sprints after Talis.
[02:14] * Talis gets hit by a shot from behind. Turns around and starts firing at the new pirate that just appeared in the catwalk.
[02:15] <Talis> Can we detonate those things now?! *firing*
[02:15] <Slipstream> You betchya! *remotely detonates the spheres attached to the catwalk*
[02:15] * Redliner exits the lift just in time to meet up with Roadkill. "Hey! What the hell's goin on?!"
[02:16] <Roadkill> Pirate attack. Let me guess, just woke up? *continues towards the bridge*
[02:16] [narration] the catwalk ring incinerates and breaks into pieces. The vacuum of space threatens to take both Talis and Slip out with it until an emergency door slams shut behind them.
[02:17] * Redliner looks vaguely embarassed as he accompanies Roadkill to the bridge.
[02:17] * The pirates finally knock down the door and the dozen or so of them start swarming through the hall the rest of the way toward the bridge.
[02:17] <Admiral Lilwall> Weapon ready, Cirrus
[02:17] * Admiral Lilwall holds aim at the bridge door.
[02:17] * Roadkill spots the pirates further down the hall and switches to moster truck mode, then tears after them.
[02:18] <Solder> The ship can't possibly be spaceworthy when this is all done and through....
[02:18] * The pirates rush through the already-torn bridge door.
[02:18] * Cirrus nods and pulls out his small rifle.
[02:18] <Slipstream> Right... we better get to the bridge... *dashes off*
[02:18] * Admiral Lilwall opens fire.
[02:19] * Talis runs after Slip
[02:19] * Admiral Lilwall fires with his turrets and hand blaster.
[02:19] * Redliner makes himself a smaller target by shifting to bikemode, arming his smaller missile launchers as he zooms after Roadkill, intending to cover him as the truck does his bashy thing.
[02:19] * Roadkill roars up behind the pirates attacking the bridge, then transforms and starts using his flamethrowers at close range.
[02:19] * Several pirates fall in the doorway, but the ones behind them grab those as shields and push their way in.
[02:21] * One pirate manages to get close enough to grab Cirrus as a hostage.
[02:21] * Admiral Lilwall takes out his sword with his free hand and swings at the pirates, lobbing off not only the dead heads, but a few lives ones as well.
[02:21] <Cirrus> LEGGO!
[02:21] * Slipstream continues flaming the pirates from behind.
[02:21] <Pirate> Arrr, ye not be wantin' me to hurt yer pilot, now do ye?
[02:21] * Roadkill continues flaming the pirates from behind.
[02:21] * Cirrus squirms, trying to get free.
[02:22] * The pirate gets his back to the wall so nobody can pull up behind him. He be a smart pirate.
[02:22] * Redliner launches a few missiles at the pirates that Roadkill's not melting down.
[02:23] <Admiral Lilwall> Coward.
[02:23] * Scrabble is sitting on the bridge ceiling, and has been there most of the time.
[02:23] * Scrabble scuttles unnoticed along the ceiling til he's above the pirate holding Cirrus.
[02:24] * Admiral Lilwall notes Scrabble but doesn't give any indication to it.
[02:25] * Redliner eventually runs out of missile ammo and shifts to botmode, using Roadkill for cover as he doles out some laser-shooty doom at s'more pirates with his pistol.
[02:25] * Two more pirates step up by the one with Cirrus.
[02:26] <Waitstate> [comm] Waitstate to Freedom. We have control of the station. What's your status?
[02:26] * Roadkill finally breaks through and bursts into the brige! Whoo!
[02:26] * Waitstate is using the station's comms.
[02:26] <Roadkill> [comm] Everything's gone to hell, cap'n!
[02:26] * The pirates at the front of the bridge look around frantically.
[02:26] * Redliner pegs off the last of the pirates outside as Roadkill busts into the bridge.
[02:26] <Waitstate> [comm] We've killed their captain.
[02:27] <Pirate> Ye WHAT!?
[02:27] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] We're going to be just fine now, I'd imagine.
[02:27] * Scrabble chooses this moment to drop down off the ceiling and onto the face of the pirate holding Cirrus, and zaps the bastard!
[02:27] <Waitstate> [comm] Keel-Haul is dead. His crew retreated.
[02:27] * The pirate jumps back away from Cirrus, but the others are too distracted to notice.
[02:27] * Admiral Lilwall throws his sword into one fothe pirates beside cirrus' captur while the surprise of scrabble is still there.
[02:27] * Cirrus runs to the other side of the room.
[02:27] * Scrabble latches onto the pirate's face and continues zapping him.
[02:28] * Admiral Lilwall opens fires again.
[02:28] * Roadkill pounces at the remaining pirate and melts his head off.
[02:28] * The pirates are all pretty much taken care of then, I imagine.
[02:28] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] we've still got a pirate infestation, get back here.
[02:28] * Redliner leans against the doorframe and stays on guard, letting Roadkill and Lilwall finish off the other bozos.
[02:28] * Scrabble drops off its pirate and scuttles to safety so one of the others can finish him off.
[02:28] * The Hungry Wormhole starts to undock from the Freedom, boarding parties returned or no boarding parties returned. They got the same comm from Wait.
[02:29] * Talis comes in from the other side of the corridor leading to the bridge and starts decking pirates left and right.
[02:29] * Admiral Lilwall checks a console and notes the pirate ship moving away.
[02:30] * Redliner trains the laser-sight of his pistol down at the end of the corridor where Talis is approaching...
[02:30] * Slipstream is with Talis, sword swinging at any pirates that are around.
[02:31] <Admiral Lilwall> [shipwide comm] attention all crew and remaingin pirates, the pirate leader is dead and their ship is withdrawing. Any pirate who doesn't want to be dead, run while you've got a chance. All crew, finish off any pirate you see.
[02:31] * A couple wounded pirates stagger out of the wreckage and make their way for the hull breach.
[02:31] * Redliner's red pointer flickers on the few pirates fleeing from Slip and Talis and he pegs a few in the head, downing 'em.
[02:32] <Admiral-Lilwall> [comm] Sunspot, return to engineering and get things running.
[02:32] * Sunspot is busy being unconscious in a utility duct somewhere.
[02:32] * Moonstone is in stasis lock after overextending the shield.
[02:32] [narration] The viewscreen on the bridge shows the station. A nimbus of energy is starting to form, growing in intensity.
[02:33] <Cirrus> Commander??
[02:33] <Cirrus> Look!
[02:33] <Admiral Lilwall> [comm] Waitstate, we're picking up massive energy redaings form teh station, whats your status?
[02:33] * Redliner is too busy shooting to see the viewscreen! He refrains from firing on Slip and Talis when they show up, of course
[02:33] <Waitstate> [comm] Dont worry folks. I'm on it :)
[02:33] * The Hungry Wormhole moves away in preparation for jumping.
[02:33] * The glow grows to a peak intensity.
[02:34] * Talis grabs the last member of a group of pirates fleeing by the faceplate and slams him into a bulkhead until its cranium caves in and their are several dents in the wall. The cranium sparks and sizzles as Talis drops it and the body its attached to on the deck floor.
[02:35] * A couple pirates stay down and play dead, pondering the idea of being neutralists for a while.
[02:35] [narration] Suddenly a truely MASSIVE discharge of energy lances out from the station, impacting the Hungry Wormhole. The core of the ship is completely disintigrated in a dazzling explosion. When it clears, all that remains is a small debris field.
[02:35] * Admiral Lilwall figures Sunspot isn't available due to her not answering and all, so brings engineering back via the computer.
[02:35] * Talis notes a bright lightsource coming from the direction of the bridge. (or more likely, its viewports)
[02:36] <Waitstate> [comm] WOOHOO! Now THAT's a gun!
[02:36] [narration] numerous civilians and such note the blast from their quarters.
[02:36] * Redliner stops to watch the explodey. Oooooh.
[02:36] <Slipstream> ... I want that gun, damnit.
[02:36] <Roadkill> Nifty.
[02:37] * Download and Goannis go about cleaning up the mess in the bar.
[02:37] * Snake-Eyes moves out of her store and looks around at the mess of a Plaza.
