* Backtrack runs through some data tracks in his quarters
* Waitstate sits in his chair on the bridge, monitoring status, bored to death
* Diablo is in the sim room, creating a freeway program
* Admiral-Lilwall sighs and switches off the vid
* Admiral-Lilwall exits his quarters and enters the nearest lift
* Waitstate switches to a tactical view of the spaceport and surrounding area
<Admiral-Lilwall> Deck 3.
* Admiral-Lilwall exits the lift after a brief time of travel and walks down the corridor
<Diablo> Add a few large trucks, a couple of old grandpas in hatchbacks
* Admiral-Lilwall arrives at his destination and hits the door buzzer
<Diablo> a supercar or two and lots of family cars
<Recoil> Come in...
* Admiral-Lilwall enters Recoil's quarters
* Recoil looks up
<Recoil> Oh, hello Commander
<Admiral-Lilwall> Hey tank bot. I notice you've been a little less active than normal. Something wrong?
<Recoil> Have I been lax in my duties, sir?
<Admiral-Lilwall> No
<Recoil> then I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean.
<Admiral-Lilwall> What I mean is, are you coping with the loss of Lightning?
<Admiral-Lilwall> I understand you have an amount of respect for him?
<Recoil> Aye... yes sir
<Recoil> He was a most talented commanding officer
<Admiral-Lilwall> *thinking to self* heh!
<Admiral-Lilwall> He had his moments
<Recoil> I admired his skill a great deal. 
<Admiral-Lilwall> A warrior first most. He went down fighting.
<Recoil> I'm sure he had an honorable death. That was important to him.
<Admiral-Lilwall> Yep. But what about you? Are you alright?
<Recoil> *shrugs* I'm fine, sir.
* Backtrack gets up from what he is doing and heads out of his quarters down the hall to the bar
<Admiral-Lilwall> Alright. Well, if you have to talk just call
<Recoil> what's there to talk about?
<Admiral-Lilwall> That one is up to you. Only if you need to.
* Diablo adds a few bridges and a big city to the program
<Recoil> There aren't many I hold in such high regard... he was one of them
<Diablo> watch out taxi drivers
* Backtrack enters the bar
<Admiral-Lilwall> I didn't have that much for him, but his loss is felt. Heh, I guess if anything, I'll miss arguing with him :)
* Backtrack gets himself a drink
<Recoil> I'll miss him
* Backtrack needs a good tactical combat sim right about now
<Diablo> I think this program is ready now
<Admiral-Lilwall> *nods* You know how to call if you need to 
<Recoil> yeah... thanks commander, I appreciate it
* Diablo runs the program and transforms to Lamborghini mode
* Backtrack heads to the Sim room
* Mindshadow hangs from the ceiling somewhere.
* Admiral-Lilwall nods again before exiting 
* Admiral-Lilwall heads for the bridge
* Diablo goes down a ramp onto the freeway, immediatly accelerating up to some cars
* Backtrack enters the sim room only to find himself standing in the middle of a freeway
<Backtrack> Ack!
* Admiral-Lilwall enters the bridge, noticing Aries at the science console, and Wait in the command chair
<Diablo> hmm, need the proper thrill of speeding on a freeway, Computer, safeties off
<Waitstate> welcome to the quiet room
<Admiral-Lilwall> Heh, the helm looks strange without Cirrus in it. He go planetside?
* Backtrack transforms to tank mode and rolls out of the way
<Waitstate> yeah... they have a lovely mall down there, or so I hear
* Diablo weaves between a few cars and a bus
* Admiral-Lilwall sits in his seat
<Admiral-Lilwall> How doe he manage to get credits for his shopping habits?
<Waitstate> I've learned not to ask, Lil
* Backtrack barely manages to swerve out of the way of a few cars
<Admiral-Lilwall> Better off, no doubt. You must be really bored to be staying here.
<Waitstate> Overwrite tells me the books all balance, so I just don't worry about it
<Backtrack> I wasn't built for this!!!
<Waitstate> I'm more bored that I can recall being ever...
<Admiral-Lilwall> Probably just an off ship account
* Diablo spots a sign 'ahh, 15 kilometres till I reach the city'
<Waitstate> look! I actually did some paperwork!
<Admiral-Lilwall> Heh! I thought you'd forgotten how *takes the data pad*
* Backtrack fires a few rounds at the passing cars
<Backtrack> Now THIS is what I do!
* Admiral-Lilwall looks over the data to discover it's just idle scribblings of something he can only assume is meant to be a four legged beast of some sort
<Admiral-Lilwall> I guess you did after all.
<Waitstate> *console starts to beep* 
<Admiral-Lilwall> tell them we aren't home
<Waitstate> Oh look... that doctor is here with Shadowstrike
* Waitstate clears them into the docking bay
<Admiral-Lilwall> I guess we can be home this time
<Waitstate> [comm] Doctor, I'll meet you in the medbay. Can you find your way?
<Lifeblood> [comm] I am not sure.
* Waitstate concentrates a moment, then speaks
* Diablo notices a few explosions up ahead. 'think I'll check this out'
<Waitstate> [comm] Just follow the flashing lights on the wall
<Lifeblood> [comm] I shall.
* Lifeblood does.
* Waitstate turns to Lil
<Waitstate> The bridge is yours
<Admiral-Lilwall> Hoorah.
* Backtrack rolls over a few cars, crushing them
<Backtrack> Sorry Gramps!
* Waitstate exits for the medbay
* Lifeblood walks down the ship's corridors, pulling the hovering stasis-tube behind him.
* Lifeblood enters the medbay.
* Waitstate exits the lift and heads for the medbay
* Lifeblood waits.
* Diablo speeds through a bunch of cars, barely missing some of them
<Restore> Can I help you?
* Backtrack notices the oncoming Lamborgini
* Waitstate enters the medbay
<Lifeblood> I am here with your Shadowstrike.
<Restore> Oh wait, you must be the doctor from planetside
<Waitstate> ah, hello Doctor
<Lifeblood> Indeed.
* Mindshadow turns invisible and goes places and does things no one can see.
<Lifeblood> Greetings, Waitstate.
<Waitstate> Welcome to the Freedom. I trust my guide was useful?
<Restore> Well, I'll have to meet you another time. Right now I need to make a house call.  *to Wait* On Autumn.
* Diablo spots a tank in the middle of the freeway 'I don't remember putting this into the program'
* Waitstate nods sadly to Restore
* Backtrack transforms to bot mode
* Restore gathers a few things and exits medbay
<Lifeblood> Yes.
<Lifeblood> Is there anywhere in particular you wish the patient to be placed?
<Waitstate> yeah... I'll show you where to hook that equipment in
<Lifeblood> Excellent.
* Diablo slows to a stop. 'Hey Backtrack, when did you pop in?'
* Waitstate walks over to a clear space and indicates a power coupling
<Waitstate> here should work
<Backtrack> Just a couple seconds ago. Wasn't quite expecting this. 
<Backtrack> Didn't know you were in here
* Lifeblood connects the travelling stasis-tube in the appropriate places.
<Lifeblood> Signs remain stable.
<Lifeblood> The connection would seem to have worked.
<Waitstate> good... 
* Diablo transforms to bot mode
<Waitstate> I'm glad to have her back
<Diablo> just trying out a new program I made, Wait and Lil don't agree with my racing down the corridors
<Waitstate> Excellent job doctor... you dont know how much we appreciate your work
<Backtrack> With all the small bots running round, can't say I blame 'em. You're a fast one, alright.
<Lifeblood> As you may surmise, I do not ordinarily transfer patients to their vessels myself.
* Lifeblood nods slightly.
<Waitstate> well, I did think it a bit odd for such a routine transfer. But I didn't question it.
<Lifeblood> However, as I performed this repair myself, I would have thought it negligent not to oversee all aspects of the patient's time here.
<Waitstate> that's admirable of you
<Lifeblood> I am merely Primus' tool here.
* Waitstate takes a seat on a stool
* Diablo kicks a nearby car out of the way. 'feel like causing trouble in the city up ahead?'
<Backtrack> Always :)
* Waitstate is a bit startled by the reference, but tries not to show it
* Backtrack returns to tank mode

<Lifeblood> Your facilities are commendably maintained.
<Waitstate> We have an excellent physician. Well, we do now anyway. She only recently was returned to us. Since we've been here in fact

<Lifeblood> Her work does her honor.
<Waitstate> She's very... dedicated, heh
* Diablo changes to lamborghini mode 'hehe, only Warpath would say something like that'
<Lifeblood> Indeed.
* Backtrack speeds off
<Backtrack> Lets ROLL out!
* Diablo's plasma cannons appear at the back his vehicle mode
<Diablo> sounds like an idea to me
* Diablo heads in the direction of the city
<Backtrack> You program these things to fight back?
<Diablo> Sure did, these guys will get really pissed off
* Diablo takes a ramp off the freeway and into the city with plasma cannons firing
* Backtrack follows
<Diablo> this is for all you taxi drivers for when I had to wait for you to move so I could get past back on earth
* Diablo fires at a long row of taxis that are sitting there and doing nothing
* Backtrack looks around
<Backtrack> Hmm...
* Lifeblood looks up abruptly.
<Lifeblood> The Waste.
<Backtrack> If I hit THAT building, it could cause a large chain reaction...
* Waitstate shudders
<Waitstate> why did you bring THAT up?
<Lifeblood> How much contact have you had with it?
* Backtrack fires
<Waitstate> well... it almost killed me, if that helps
* Backtrack watches the building collapse falling into the street and a row of cars
<Lifeblood> Much of what I have seen since coming aboard has shown signs of it.
<Lifeblood> And there is much we do not understand about it.
<Diablo> hahaha, good shot
<Lifeblood> Too much.

<Waitstate> we have a lot of data on it. Shadowstrike's damage was partly because of it. She had a massive psychotic episode.
* Backtrack transforms to bot mode grabs two sports cars and smashes them together
<Diablo> ooh, petrol tanker
<Lifeblood> If I might request copies...?
<Lifeblood> Research of your ship and crew would be very rewarding.
* Diablo fires straight away at it and watches metal chunks fly in all directions
<Waitstate> well... I can't release specific medical records, but I guess we can share the general data
<Lifeblood> Understandable.
<Diablo> hehe, watch those pedestrians run
<Lifeblood> Any information would greatly expand our knowledge.
<Lifeblood> There is no chance of convincing you to remain here for continuing examination.

<Waitstate> we don't have anywhere to be at the moment... so I suppose we can stay

* Waitstate looks at Lifeblood expectantly
* Diablo transforms to bot mode and runs into a building, causing it to fall over

* Backtrack sees the building fall with some people near it
<Backtrack> No!
* Backtrack dives over the people, covering them from the debris
* Backtrack realizes what he just did
<Backtrack> Um...
* Backtrack gets up and the little holo-people run off.
<Lifeblood> Several of the structural members of Shadowstrike's body bear damage containing minute traces of several rare elements, of isotypes from which we can only obtain the needed information at or around the half-life, for a variety of reasons relating to submolecular electrical interaction.
* Waitstate stares blankly

<Lifeblood> The shortest of these half-lives is fourteen years.
<Waitstate> ahh...
<Lifeblood> It is my experience that travellers of your extraction rarely do not have anywhere to be for such a period.
<Waitstate> ... no, not at this time
<Diablo> why'd you cover the holo people? they can't feel a thing
<Waitstate> I just thought you meant the rest of the recovery... I don't think we'll be able to swing such a long stay
* Lifeblood bows his head in thought for a moment.
<Lifeblood> Perhaps...
<Backtrack> Didn't think about it. I just did it.
* Backtrack shrugs
<Lifeblood> ...no. It is irrelevant.
<Backtrack> Anyway...
* Backtrack turns and fires his arm cannons at a bunch of cars
<Waitstate> I suppose you could stay with us, heh. We're always looking for talented new people
<Diablo> hmm, ok then
* Lifeblood's optics brighten in surprise.
<Lifeblood> I had considered such a request.
* Diablo extends his blade and slices chunks out of buildings
<Waitstate> We've had a surprising amount of unusual medical phenomena here. It wouldn't be boring... well, not all the time :)
<Lifeblood> I do not wish to interfere with your vessel's operations.
<Lifeblood> And such a visitation would not provide quite the data I had hoped for.
<Lifeblood> But...as I say, any new understanding at all would be like unto a gift from Primus himself.
<Lifeblood> I shall have to consider your request, Waitstate, as I do have duties planetside.
<Lifeblood> But my staff are more than adequate.
<Waitstate> well, I don't know how you would interefere with our operations. We'd be honored to have you, if you decide to join up
* Diablo wanders over to a small park surrounded by buildings
<Lifeblood> It has been... a long time since I experienced any field work.
<Waitstate> take some time to think about it. We'll be here at least a short time longer
<Lifeblood> I shall.
* Diablo fires at several buildings and watches as they fall towards him
<Lifeblood> It would be, as I say, an unsurpassed opportunity.
<Diablo> this could be painful
* Diablo moves out of the way of the buildings
<Waitstate> whatever your decision, it's been an honor meeting you
<Lifeblood> The feeling is mutual.
* Waitstate reaches out to shake Lifeblood's hand
* Diablo falls to the ground as a large bit of debris impales itself into his chest
* Lifeblood shakes Waitstate's hand firmly.
<Waitstate> hm... I'll show you to the airlock
<Lifeblood> Thank you.
* Diablo slowly gets up on one knee. 'ouch, that hurt quite alot'
* Backtrack looks over
<Backtrack> You took the safety off it seems
* Waitstate sees him off
<Diablo> *in pain* yeah, wasn't the same driving knowing that you couldn't get hurt
<Diablo> guess I should have put it back on
<Lifeblood> I shall contact you forthwith, Waitstate.
<Waitstate> I look forward to it
* Lifeblood enters his shuttle.
* Waitstate waves
* Diablo tries to pull the debris out
* Lifeblood blasts off to adventure.
* Diablo remembers the debris is holographic and will disappear as soon as he steps out of the sim room
* Waitstate wanders off
<Diablo> I think I'll have to leave you now and get this fixed up
* Diablo slowly gets up and leaves the sim room. 'See ya around'
* Diablo walks out of the sim room and immediatly falls over as the debris dissapears from his chest
* Backtrack begins to beserk the town
* Backtrack finishes with the city and leaves
* Diablo slowly gets up and makes his way to medbay
