Name: Redliner Quote: "There's a shortcut to everything." Function: data courier Alignment: neutral Alternative mode: Honda CBR 929 RRY Personality: Redliner is either lying down or rushing around. He is a typical lazy slacker -- he doesn't think twice when it comes to foisting off a boring chore onto some poor, inattentive slob, or cheaping out on a task to get it over with sooner. However, when it comes to being lazy, no one is more brilliant with devising solutions and shortcuts to cut down on time, though sometimes these end up with disastrous results. This makes him sly-mouthed and somewhat of an opportunist; hardly Autobot qualities, but despite his own selfishness and love for mischief, he's still chatty and friendly for the most part. Redliner's need for speed comes mostly out of his low fuel capacity (5 gallons max), but otherwise he can party for a long while before he runs out of juice. He's at his best when driving down a long, winding stretch of road. Abilities: - extremely fast and agile in vehicle mode, lightly armoured - adept at dodging enemy fire but can be easily downed by a well-placed hit or if knocked over on his side in vehicle mode - transforms quickly, near-instantaneously - max vehicle speed 250 km/h, 929 cc's, 160 horsepower - armed with two side-mounted missile launchers that fire shrapnel-exploding rockets - hand blaster in his thigh compartment fires null rays singly or at 12 rounds per second, which can temporarily stop and disable an enemy in its tracks. History: - Formerly an Autobot built on Cybtertron during the Cybertronian civil war on Earth. He came to Earth in the late 1990's with a small offensive team to dissuade Decepticon occupation in eastern Earth countries. - Redliner befriended a young Chinese human in HongKong and due their their friendship and his own distaste for war, he abandoned his party to hide from the war and live as his companion's "rice-rocket". - He joined LONAC mostly to avoid war and conscription. Strengths: near-unstoppable when speeding, difficult to catch while on the run, high maneuverable. Weaknesses: extremely vulnerable if knocked over while in vehicle mode. Can't be relied on to do certain tasks sometimes. *When motorcycles dodge and weave through cars while driving with no regard for highway lines, this is called red-lining. This form of traffic-dodging is legal in most Asian countries, but not in North America. |
