Chapter 14

Before Rust and Hail could get up, they were surrounded. They looked at each other then helplessly put their hands up.

Aries smiled. “As you can see, I’ve already taken care of that problem.”

“Xaraxus, some of us are nearing the bridge” Jupitor reported.

“You’ll never make it alone. I’m sure the Admiral has already secured that area. Wait until everyone is there. In the mean time, I’ll try and retrieve the Book.”

Jupitor turned to Dominion. “As much as I hate all of this book nonsense, I must say I’m having some fun.”

“They’ll be after the Book, I must keep it safe.” Gravix looked about his room for a safe place to keep it. “This is nonsense, this is the first place they’re going to look.”

Xaraxus charged into the room. “You’re absolutely right!”

Gravix swung out his chain whip and wrapped it around Xaraxus’ legs. Xaraxus quickly spun around and yanked the chain, sending Gravix to the floor. Untangling himself, Xaraxus stood over his fallen enemy. “You know, your brother always hated these things.” Xaraxus pulled out Artifice’s long blade and skewered Gravix, deactivating him. He then took the Book of Mordalis from Gravix’s hands.

“Great, here comes the adoring Admiral. I suppose it’s time to show ourselves. Huntercons, UNITE!” Jupitor shouted.

Admiral Lilwall came running at the Huntercons with all of his weapons aimed. “Not so fast!” He stopped suddenly and began firing solely at Jupitor. The other Huntercons fired at him, but he didn’t budge.

Jupitor transformed and charged at the Admiral. Standing firmly, Admiral Lilwall braced himself. The two opposing forces collided, neither falling. Admiral grabbed Jupitor’s beast head and held the mouth shut. He spun himself around and threw the beast through the air. Jupitor crashed against a wall. He got back to his feet and approached Admiral in a more careful manor. Jupitor opened his gaping jaws and snapped at him. Admiral quickly grabbed Jupitor’s jaws and held them open. He turned his shoulder cannons at his throat and fired. Jupitor yelled in pain and backed off. The other Huntercons quickly restrained Admiral Lilwall.

“Halt your actions or excessive force will be utilized” Dark Star said coldly as he stepped out of the darkness.

“Extremely excessive” Diablo added.

The Huntercons turned to see most of Dark Force and the Tactibots blocking off the hallway.

Diablo shrugged. “Ah, screw it!” Almost simultaneously the small army fired at the Huntercons.

Splitwit entered the docking bay. Toom was punching the side of a shuttle.

“You’re not gonna make much progress that way stupid!” Splitwit shouted. He charged at Toom. Pausing for a moment to analyze the situation, Toom transformed to his tank mode and fired. Splitwit was flew backwards and transformed, landing on his posterior.

Diamond Fire sped into the docking bay. She transformed to her tank mode and fired back at Toom. “You okay Splitwit?” she shouted.

“I’m fine, but somehow I think we’re short on firepower” Splitwit shouted back.

Toom transformed back to his robot mode. He lifted Diamond Fire into the air and slammed her on the floor.

Thrashmane and Splitwit entered the docking bay and began firing at Toom. Diamond Fire and Splitwit got their bearings and began firing as well. They forced Toom back against the shuttle he was trying to destroy.

“Waitstate’s gonna hate me for this!” Diamond Fire shouted. She aimed her cannon at the shuttle’s fuel cells and fired a single blast. The explosion threw everyone to the floor.

When the smoke cleared, Toom was still standing.

Splitwit stared in amazement. “That’s impossible!”

Before anyone could fire again, Toom’s optics flickered and he fell to the floor.

“One thing is for sure, I’m not paying for that shuttle,” Splitwit said as he put his gun away.
